really liked the Afsaana. It was a short, 10 mins read. the overall theme was forgiveness, optimism, creating your happiness and seeing your blessings etc. The one negative point that bugged me enough to minus two stars was that, like many other pieces of Urdu writing, to portray patience, a girl was shown bearing abuse and how her patience made everything right at the end. writer showed domestic abuse as fate "naseeb k ittifaaq" and smth to be overlooked and forgotten. ik patience and steadfastness are writer`s biggest theme in almost all of her works, but it`s inspiring only when someone is seen staying firm in the face of natural calamity and not, you know, abuse! didn`t expect this from the writer of Main Bint Jameela. :(
