An absolute fun book to read. Two people who grew up together in a small town who seem to hate each other as adults. Mannie the best friend of Olivia's brother Wes owns a fitness gym and she owns a bakery. She accuses him of stealing her patients who are his clients by telling them to stay away from sweets. Her parents moved to FL and her brother is going to visit them at Christmas which leaves her alone during the holidays. Her brother asks Mannie to invite her to spend it with his family so she won't be alone. They argue that it isn't a good idea but he agrees to invite her. As it is his grandparents are coming for the holidays who think he has a girlfriend but he doesn't. He approached Olivia and invited her and explains his situation. If she agrees to be his fake girlfriend will it change their love/hate relationship.
When childhood frenemies become lovers while fake dating becomes a reality to Olivia and Mannie to please his greek grandparents who think he has been in a relationship for 2 years they play the roll for real until it becomes a reality and these two wind up in lust of each other ! Both fearing this fake dating is becoming something they both have wanted for most of their life and finally giving into make this a reality ! Loved this story wish there was a sequel to see them in the future as man and wife !
Mannie and Olivia's predicament leaves Olivia alone for the holidays short-staffed and Mannie facing a crisis when his grandparents expect to meet his non-existent girlfriend over the joyous season. Why not exchange favors by Olivia pretending to be Mannie's girlfriend and Mannie helping Olivia at the bakery? What could go wrong? Plenty when the fake becomes less so and the two develop feelings that become harder to deny. Maybe they'll get more than they wished for from Santa. Well-written with all the small town charm. Great read.
