Is a perilous murder investigation Their chance to start over?
When his ex becomes entangled in the death of his best friend in the Montana mountains, Detective Ty Terrell discovers that he wants her help—and maybe something more. Holly Dean broke his heart, but the heat between them hasn’t changed. He knows that rekindling their romance while tracking a killer is a terrible idea. And he also knows that he’s keeping her close until he's sure she’s safe.

Most recently, Danica was the winner of the Paranormal Romance Guild’s Paranormal Romantic Suspense Book of the Year Award and Chanticleer Media’s Paranormal Book of the Year for her novel Montana Mustangs. When she’s not working, she can be found in the wilds of Montana testing her patience while she tries to understand the allure of various crafts (quilting, pottery, and painting are not her thing). She always believes the cup is neither half full nor half empty, but it better be filled with wine.
It was an avg book and i finished it. I did not care for Holly; she was just so self-serving that it turns y0u off. Seems to blame everyone else for things even Ty. I'm surprised he was able to look past them and break thru with all the murders and stuff going on. Anyway, if you're looking for short reads to pass a few hrs. a day this series will do. Not the best but then i ve read worse.
Of the series, this is the best but that isn’t saying much. The mystery is good but the personalities of the main characters are inconsistent- hot and cold with no good explanation. I read these only because they were part of the Harlequin Intrigue series to which I have a subscription
I usually like Danica's books but I could not get into this one. I just did not like the main female character for some reason. Other than that, the story was good and the mystery kept me guessing.
