Jasmine is too busy to go to Hell and she's definitely too busy for demon antics. But when her demon "fairy godmother" shows up, everything is on the line. Does she have what it takes to get out of the Devil's bargain or is she doomed to face the flames?
Content Snuggle is a paranormal romance that involves a woman getting it on with a stuffed animal. This book is very weird and is not for everyone.
★2.5 stars rounded up (only bc I enjoyed Frisky more and that's my only inanimate object erotica benchmark lol)
✎𓂃“There you are, little warrior.” Melt my heart what a cute nickname ❣️
OK to preface this, I didn’t realize a previous book existed in this series (about CANDY CORN–truly nothing is safe in this world), so while this is a standalone and things are explained well enough, that first book is somewhat needed for context.
To sum up its triggers and how far the bear necessities go, here’s the author’s warning:
✎𓂃“This book has graphic sex, sex with a stuffed toy, cursed objects, mild child abuse (yelling) and a physical altercation between parents with children present. Your mental health matters and while it’s probably already in question for picking this book up, I still want you to take care of yourself.”
LMAO yes plz worry for my mental health after this 😅
If you’ve ever been curious about teddy bear erotica 🧸 like I was, lemme tell you it ain’t the worst thing in the world!! It was actually surprisingly cute!! Jasmine and her friends (in book 1) made a deal with Lucifer himself to sell their souls if they do not find true love. Phinarax the demon, Phin for short, was sent in teddy bear form to aid Jasmine in this adventure. But this poor lady has been through the wringer with a messy divorce, and c'mon she just wants a damn bath and too much wine!!
People, the bar is so far down it's below ground 🤣 bc all it takes is Phin drawing her a bath, doing some chores, and dumping a can of soup into a bowl and heating it up for her to change her mind and become full team teddy bear. BUT HOLD UP ✋ Phin is a LUST DEMON and he’s out to prove he can get Jasmine off w/o even touching her!! This demon teddy lives to please our girl!! Okay sir I see you 👀
✎𓂃“He was surprisingly solid for something made out of yarn and fluff. Impossibly heavy and firm against me.”
The smut was actually not as shocking as I thought it would be (well minus his invisible…appendage(s) abilities)! I mean, it’s not like he’s got a carrot dick like Frisky the Snowman 😅 And do not worry my friends, Phin doesn’t stay a teddy bear forever 😉
Again. This is not a literary masterpiece folks. But it IS 74 pages of pure entertainment and I do, once again, need to find any teddy bears within my vicinity and immediately burn them!!!
Highly recommend if you're in need of a good laugh or feel that slumpy slump setting in!
THANK YOU again to my queen cara for buddy reading this wild ride with me 😂💘 Cheers to us and the beers we needed to get through it 🍻
---------------------- pre-review: pillows, doors, snowmen, gingerbread men, and TEDDY BEARS oh my!! 🧸👀 ready to be forever scarred in this buddy read with my girl cara 💕
I knew I was going to like this book when this was the very first line.
It is a truth universally acknowledged that men suck. Like really suck. But not in a good ‘suck my clit until I come’ way but the terrible ‘are completely useless for anything, way.
I couldn’t put this novella down, seriously. I was saving the first book in the series for next halloween but honestly I can’t wait that long. —————— BELOW IS THE TRANSCRIPT OF THE RECAP ON UNFORTUNATE READS. SPOILERS AHEAD ⚓️ —————— Jasmin is a recently divorced single mom of two whose douche of an ex-husband decided he wanted to invoke his “rights” and take the kids to Florida for thanksgiving to meet his new girlfriend.
She also accidentally made a deal with the devil a few months back when doing a little true love spell with her friends. Now she is supposed to find her soulmate within a year or she goes to literal hell.
Long story short, her one friend crocheted her a 5ft stuffed bear, and this is the vessel in which her demon babysitter resides. His name is Phineax, and he’s there to help her apparently.
Phin is like, the perfect partner. Running her a bath, taking care of the cleaning, making sure she eats…oh and providing mind-blowing Os without even touching her.
Turns out our little Phin is a lust demon.
Anyway, Jasmine starts falling for Phin but tries to send him away abruptly when her girls call her crying and wanting to come home. The shithead ex has been neglecting and yelling at them this whole time.
Jasmine goes head to head with douche-magee and he starts to get violent, but a 6ft 5’ beast of a man comes out and halts that right in its tracks. The man is our pal Phin, who was able to take his human form after Jasmine subconsciously decided that he was perfect for her.
I would really like to be friends with Jasmine, she’s snarky and real and a fierce mom, and I related to her on a personal level. Not that I have a magical O-providing demon teddy bear but you know what I mean.
You know what? It wasn’t bad. I liked it. I mean who doesn’t want a break from their kids and responsibilities filled with food and orgasms and dirty talk? I do want to know more about the pink sparkles tho. ;)
I’m not typically a short story reader or a strictly smut reader, so I can’t judge it based on other similar books, but I can say this was a fun little read through. The premise is still the most wacky and insane thing ever, and I don’t think I’ll ever admit to a single person in my real life that I willingly picked this up, but I genuinely enjoyed it for what it was! I love that is a series and we’ll get to experience each of our botanically-named gals individually. I’ll be diving into Tangled tonight, and I can’t wait to see what the fourth instalment has in store for our witchy trouble-maker, Violet.
I went in expecting chaotic, smut driven chaos. well, maybe should've read the blurb or the first book 😅 but honestly glad I didn't because it took me by surprise!
Pleeeeease tell me where I can find a demon like that because I am in love and don't know how to handle that.
The writing was so fun and light and putting a demon in a teddy bear is just creative genius. I mean, when he waddles around in his teddy bear form like that, all awkward and cute? How can I not want to watch that, squish him, then do things I shouldn't think about doing to a teddy..👀
Phin was the bestest demon teddy bear. He had all the “I’ll to anything for you” energy and took good care of Jasmine. She was a frazzled single mom with an aversion to men after a crappy divorce. It was a fast burn novella with a sweet HEA.
Spice: 3/5
Triggers: emotional abuse (off page), emotional abuse of children (off page), panic attack
I decided to pick up “Snuggle” to read after reading Sabrina’s other novel, “Corny” a little while ago and I thought it was a fantastic little sequel (perhaps more a story set in the same universe would be a better description) in the series!
It was a great short novella that’s easily enjoyed in one sitting and perfect to read in bed…perhaps for more reasons than one! The story was cute and funny while being HEAVILY driven by some hot spice (and I KNOW my brain should be studied when I say that the whole “stuffed toy” thing was no where near as wtf as I was anticipating haha), but the balance was good between everything to leave it light and fun. The romance was also actually really sweet between Jasmine and Phinarax “Phin”, which was a lovely little cherry on top.
Though this book is very light and fun, it does have a few triggers that I’ll mention below. And besides the “content warnings” involving the spice (which is VERY much open door) the other triggering themes mainly take place off page or are mentions.
━━━━ † ━━━━
⚔️TRIGGER LIST⚔️ — Mentions of divorce/marriage break up — Mentions of emotional manipulation — Anger/yelling at children — Abusive relationship (not between MMC & FMC) — Graphic spice — Spice involving a stuffed toy/teddy bear
━━━━ † ━━━━
“Snuggle” was a fantastic short read filled with humour, banter, fated mates, demon-possessed teddy bears that bring ALL the pleasure and lots of deliciously steamy spice — and topped off with an easy to understand plot and wholesome romance. 4/5 stars!
Phin is the sweetest of all; his chosen form as a teddy bear completely suits his personality. Who wouldn't want to have a giant bear who turns out to be a super-loving, attentive, and sweet boyfriend? Phin makes our dear FMC feel loved and valued, which feels super cozy. The story is sweet; I loved it from start to finish, and I can't wait to read the next book, which I'll be reading soon.
This story follows Jasmine, who has just gone through a horrible divorce and is struggling with custody battles for her little ones with a terrible ex. Her friends summon a demon to find her other half, and that's when Phil arrives, her demon tasked with finding her a partner.
I loved the first book in this series and I loved this one too! Snuggle follows Jasmine who recently had a messy divorce and custody battle with her ex. She’s not ready to date and isn’t ready to “find love” with the help of her demon. Her demon Phinarax, Phil for short, takes the form of a giant teddy bear. Let me tell you the spicy scenes in this one are so hot. I loved how Phin was a carrying partner and showed Jasmine what she needed even when she didn’t know it. Can’t wait to read the next one in this super fun series!
Screaming and kicking my feet. Omg 😭 why was this the cutest story ever?! I am in love. Such good spice. Phin is demon bf goals. I love him. Everything about this. I’m sobbing from my eyes and my kitty. I cannot wait for the next one in this series (please tell me there is more).
FMC has two girls and a shitty ex husband. He takes the girls for thanksgiving with his new gf and she is left home alone. Well with her life size teddy bear that houses her demon. Same deal as before, find your soulmate or end up in hell. But what if her demon is her soulmate all along?
I read this book as a brain rot, to try to keep myself from getting too bored from my other books. It did well for it's purpose, and made me giggle a few times.
This is a teddy bear romance, if you didn't figure that out by the cover, as well as book 2 in a series (book one is Corny). The bear is five feet tall, and possessed by an incubus demon. This series, so far, has been based in Michigan, and this book's point of view is Jasmine.
I must say, this book is better than the first one is, and I rather enjoyed it.
When I stumbled across this book, all signs pointed toward it having been written especially for me. Alas, it just wasn't interesting enough. And that's saying a LOT since the MMC is a demon possessed, 5 foot tall, crocheted teddy bear. He had no personality. And her personality was...well...pissed off at men.
The writing wasn't bad as in 12 yo fanfiction writer bad, just thin on padding and, well, uninteresting and bland.
Obvs happy ending. What I didn't expect was the instalove or the sweet caring nature of Phin for Jasmine. The thought of a demon teddy bear for bedroom playtime is hilarious and delightful.
Contains a gal who had no idea she entered into a blood deal, a lust demon that has to help her find true love, an abusive ex who is also a terrible dad, no cheating, no cliffhangers, can be read as a standalone in an interconnected series. Ending is more HFN than HEA.
I’m really loving this series and the passionate demonic romances. I read the first three books in the series before coming back to leave reviews. So far, Jasmine and Phin are my favorite, but all of these demons are frankly crush worthy. Maybe it’s because I like Phin’s possessive protectiveness while still taking Jasmine’s life into consideration…..and his other skills…. For such short books, they definitely still send you through an emotional rollercoaster (in a good way).
This was so freaking cute! I would love to have a giant teddy bear (even with a demon in it) that took care of me the way Phin does! They say an accidental deal with the devil goes wrong but so far for 2 out of 4 it's gone very very right!
The previous relationship issues and single parent things that the FMC went through were so sad, but it made her happy ending so much more meaningful.
This story is definitely heart warming and sad as well as fun and spicy!
Snuggle confirms that I really enjoy Sabrina Cross’s writing style and the creative ideas that run through her mind.
Who would have thought that a demon could be the perfect man? I did, because I’ve read far too many books about demons to ignore the fact that they can be more human than humans themselves. Overall, I really enjoyed reading Jasmine and Phin’s story. Jasmine chose the right vessel for her demon, as Phin gave me the impression of being a—barely demonic—teddy bear.
Now it’s time for me to continue reading the Yarn & Monsters series!
Again, the writing is kinda juvenile and cringe. But it was cute. I'd have liked more time with Phin and Jasmine in his human form. But I would imagine they'll pop up future books like candy and clover did.
If you love a single parent romance, this one is for you! The way Phin came in and supported Jasmine just scratched an itch for me. Jasmine works and takes care of her two daughters while her ex seems to exist to make her life harder.
The spice between Jasmine and Phin is chefs kiss. Jasmine resisted as long as she could, but who could say no to such a cinnamon roll?
“What if I don't want a mate? What if I have decided I have zero interest in finding a new man and want to die an old lady and eventually get eaten by my many, many cats?”
This is the second book and like the first was just as smutty and funny. What it lacked in length(👀) it made up for in banter and spice. I also loved that she was also a mother too and that her kids came before anything else. Also the common theme in every book is that there is a demon occupying a crocheted stuffed animal.
Omg this series is amazing 😅 I never thought I would be able to get into sentient object but these are so creative and fun, another great palette cleanser and lightweight romance with an HEA!
All I gotta say is that this exceeded my expectations. I laughed, I smiled, I sighed, and I fanned myself. My favorite microtrope of being "boxed in by hot arms" happened, and it sealed the deal for me. This book was GREAT! 🧡
