What a brilliant book to end a wonderful series! Where do I start with my this review? It's sad to be closing the book on this series, but I'm so glad I found it. The series started with characters that immediately pulled you in and played on your heartstrings. We've watched them grow and become their true selves. This book had me on the edge of my seat on many occasions. With twists I really didn't see coming.

It's very well written. You'll soon find yourself so engrossed in the story that don't notice yourself turning the pages.

For anyone that loves a romance, a supernatural read, or just a book that will offer an escape whilst still confronting real life.

(P.S., would love to explore Iris and Katie's story in the future.)

For me, I had mixed feelings when opening this book: I have loved the series so much that I was sad it was coming to an end ... yet I was excited to see if Clarence and Alba got their happily ever after. Alton creates such beautiful images with her lyrical prose, and I loved the touches of humour throughout, which have become a signature piece to her writing. I was unprepared for some unusual alliances that needed to happen along the way, so I loved that the author kept me guessing as I eagerly turned the next page. Thank you, Eva Alton, for a fantastic series. I have enjoyed immersing myself in the world of Emberbury, and I hope that this is really not the end ... maybe there will be a spin off with one of the other characters? Please? Haha! A delightful journey which earns an easy 5 stars from me!

This is how you do vampire/paranormal romance! No extreme foul language, no explicit sex scenes, no zero-focus on blood and gore, just characters you have grown to love because of their personalities, what they've gone through, how they love others (in their own way), their charm, wittiness, and humor. This final book REALLY amps up the danger and concern for beloved characters (be prepared to have your heart drop for a bit in the middle of the story) but it all wraps up in a pretty ending--although bittersweet because it's over.
(Though there were some threads left dangling and something needed clarified for me--it seemed unnecessary--those weren't big enough problems that took me out of the story.)

WITCHES' ELEMENTS - OUT JULY 14, 2022!

I'm so excited about the very last book in this series! So many secrets unveiled... finally everything makes sense! Don't miss the ending of The Vampires of Emberbury.

"Darkness is not so dark when you are what lurks in the shadows.
Darkness, in fact, was supposed to be our happy place as vampires; unless you were me and couldn’t shed all sorts of human habits, such as turning on the lights at night or brushing your fangs with toothpaste. And even though Clarence had been very supportive and kept telling me all those quirks were extremely amusing and endearing, they upset me because they were proof that I was still stuck in my old, mortal mindset, and I had made no visible progress since my turning.
Staying in central London, with its crowded streets and many temptations, wasn’t helping the learning curve either. I struggled to juggle my constant thirst and the imperative need to be cautious; killing someone by accident would have been dreadful, but not worse than having them run away with forbidden memories of my actions.
Standing under the shower, I rubbed off the blood spatters scattered all over my body; messy testimonies of yet another hunting trip gone wrong. Being a civilized vampire was harder than it appeared, and I was feeling discouraged that evening―if my witchcraft skills had been average, the vampire ones were clearly substandard―and sometimes, borderline atrocious.
“What are you up to, Isolde?” Clarence asked, peering into the bathroom and checking the time on his pocket watch. “I thought you wanted me to show you around London tonight.” He had changed into a vintage burgundy robe and matching slippers, and finished the look with a rolled black-and-white newspaper.
“Where did you get that robe?” I shouted from the bathtub. “Did you just time travel from 1880?”
“1798, my darling,” he replied with an enigmatic grin.”

I really enjoyed this series, and this final chapter did not let me down. Lots of twists and turns and, of course, plenty of Clarence.🖤I’ll admit some (many?) of Alba’s decisions throughout the series made the mother in me quirk a brow, but once I told my maternal voice to pipe down, I loved it.

Witches’ Elements by Eva Alton is the last book in the Vampires of Emerbury series. In this final adventure, Alba, Clarence, and their friends must use all their resources and skills to find and rescue Alba’s two daughters. Will they be able to defeat the evil forces that threaten the lives of innocent children? And what will the future look like for the vampire clan?

I loved the entire series, and this book was a satisfying conclusion with many gripping scenes. I especially like how well-written it is. Clearly, Eva Alton and her editors have put a lot of time and effort into perfecting the language. As a result, I was pulled into the storyline and finished the book within two days. I hope the author starts another series soon.

An amazing ending of a beautiful love story

This last book in series is a really nice read. In this story the plot is set in England, and this time it's an intersection of two realities - our human world and magically created realms.

As always, the world building is stunning, and the plot is extremely engaging. Alba, the main character, surprised me in many new ways as she kept exploring her power. The final chapters are very well done as they explain the main twists and connect all the dots starting from the very first book.

If you love good magical mysteries with a strong bottom line, I highly recommend this read!

Witches’ Elements (The Vampires of Emberbury #4) by Eva Alton is a paranormal women’s fiction novel told in first person dual POV. This book picks up where the previous one ended and continues Alba’s story as she sets off on another adventure, this time to find and rescue her daughters.

I really enjoyed this story. Like the previous books, this final installment is full of action, mystery, and magical twists. But ultimately, Witches’ Elements is a story about the power of love and friendship. I recommend this fun series to anyone who loves paranormal adventures and slow-burn romance.

A delicious ending to a wonderful series.

I adore Alba, the incompetent witch, and Clarence, the debonair vampire, and “Witches’ Elements” was a fitting finale to their journey together. The book takes place in London, and the newly ‘turned’ Alba is hunting for her daughters. Alton’s writing continues to be clever, witty and alluring in her portrayal of characters and places.

Alba discovers you never really know people; not all monsters have fangs—and sometimes the people you most dislike surprise you. Clarence’s arch nemesis causes major problems for the pair; the intrigue and suspense make the story a page turner.

The book is compelling, with each chapter leaving you eager to learn more—and Alton’s humour adds to the enjoyment of the read. “Witches’ Elements” is a melting pot of magic, mystery, friendships and romance.

Alton continues to be a magical weaver of words, and if you love paranormal romance and you’ve not read this series yet, you should!

This one was a page turner!

Alba and Clarence navigated a litany of vampires, witches, spells, life and many deaths and managed to stay together. I loved the characters of Francesca and Alice together. It seems fitting for the times of such possibilities. I can’t imagine how Ms Alton cN give us more but she has in her final book in this series….onward to more!

i loved this story! i finished the book before and went straight thru this one! it had everything i wish to see in a great story! an urban fantasy story, with great characters, unpredictable characters and plot, and romance with a HEA ending to the series! my biggest complaint is i now have to find another book that catches my attention and keeps it like this whole series did! which is an admiral trait to the author! This story had vampires, witches, a notable human or two, and ghosts! i loved various things about this book, most notably it was action packed and full of surprises with characters i had already come to love! i bought this book, my opinions and thoughts are my own! this book ends with a happily ever after to many, and in that some of the characters had surprising arcs. i highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a romance at heart, yet filled with many surprises, and character shifts. A truly great adventure! with an overall HEA to the hole series! i would also like to add that i did this book thru Audible and the narrators were top notch! i generally like one narrator, but this book pulled off both making it just as enjoyable! i might search for books with these narrators as they were top notch!

Great story

A love story about a witch and a vampire. Normally witches and vampires don't get along but being a stray witch, she doesn't know the history between the two sides. But she is learning, witches keep telling her to stay away from and not trust vampires. But they were there for her when no-one else was.

Love all the twists and turns in the story. Great series. Love them all.

The whole book was good, however some characters like Julia and Minnie weren’t great at all. I was expecting more from these two women and not just disappearing into ashes. I think that the battle could’ve been more intense and well described, although I really liked how they ended Victor. Alba’s powers could’ve been more “used”, showed. All in all it was a good saga
