The beginning of book 2 convinced me to quit reading this series . itnall.started out pretty decent but as lawsuits the hero's j. These stories never have enough power to stave off the enemie and then he seems to.be always fearful of something . its fantasy so give the hero enough power to.be positive and fearless . Its not bad but by this time the hero should have a go at fearless instead of fearful .
It's a bit simplistic but fun. Lot of interaction between the various characters And with their environment. War of the world and it's mechanics are slowly being given to the reader but no concrete goal in sight. Just the start of and idea. Half the book Is about making a start of it. Fun lighthearted and funny. Nothing too serious. Good romp.
Josh of the Underwood gathers more allies and a fourth wife as they all learn to work together in book 2. Naturally, it has a cliffhanger ending. At least I have book 3 already. Engaging.
Josh and his harem are coming together as a team through a series of adventurers filled with action and spice!! With the introduction of this new mysterious stranger who is trying to pull their strings. Looking forward to book 3!
The story is terrific and the author does an amazing job of executing it. The characters are bold and brash, but remain very real and down to earth. Such a fun read!
This is the second book in a series and is a fun ready about the main character and his wives as they hunt and battle monsters in a fantasy setting. The book is an easy read, with the characters likable and the scenes well written and described. This is a great balance for someone who reads a range of genre that includes heavier topics.
Monsters, Mayhem, and Misfits 2 by Jack Spry is exactly the kind of sequel fans hope for: bigger stakes, sharper humor, and a cast of lovable oddballs who somehow manage to be both disastrous and heroic at the same time. Spry leans fully into the delightful chaos that made the first book so memorable, but this time the world feels richer, the conflicts hit harder, and the emotional beats land with surprising depth.
The pacing is brisk without feeling rushed, and the banter between characters is consistently laugh‑out‑loud funny. Spry has a real talent for balancing absurdity with heart, and it shows in the way even the most monstrous misfits feel relatable. A few moments could have used a bit more breathing room, but honestly, that’s part of the charm. The story barrels forward with the energy of a creature who’s had way too much caffeine.
If you’re looking for a sequel that embraces its weirdness, expands its universe, and leaves you eager for book three, this is absolutely worth your time. A fantastic follow‑up that shines brightly—even if it’s just shy of perfect.
