Now this was just what the doctor prescribed on a lazy Sunday.

Nick and Abby spend one night together, both thinking it will be just that. But fate has other plans and soon they're back in each other's lives.

Nick is trying to do better for his nephew, while Abby is keeping her head above water to offer her son everything. But soon they can't deny the need and feelings they have for each other. But both are stuck in their pasts, which is making them question everything. And for a second HEA seemed unreachable, but love has a way of finding a way to make sure that it comes out on top.

I'm excited for this series. Lea Coll sure knows how to keep me entertained and I'm looking forward for the next book.

If this series is anything like the first book, then it will easily be my favorite Lea Coll series! I loved Nick and Abby like something else. Abby is a single mother who is a wedding photographer trying to balance her work schedule and her son’s sports schedule which often means she doesn’t focus on herself. After a one-night stand at her friends wedding, she finds out that her one night stand is her son’s new coach. I love the child’s coach trope too easily one of my favorites and it always done so well!

Nick just moved to town to take care of his brother’s son while he is in jail. After giving up his career in the minor leagues to help take care of his nephew, Nick moves to Annapolis and starts to create a life. Nick was fantastic and I loved how well he took care of Abby and helped her realize she could ask for and accept help. They are a perfect match but have a decent amount of adult problems that make their relationship struggle. I can’t wait to continue this series!

Also after all of these series set in Annapolis makes me want to visit so badly, no other author has made me desperately want to visit a city.

Two single parents doing the best for their children. Even though Brody is not Nick’s biological son, he is more of a father than Nick’s brother is to him. Nick gave up is dream of playing professional baseball to take care of Brody. He never set down permanent roots because he always was afraid he would have to go and help out with Brody. Abby never thought she would end up a single mom. Have a hard time conceiving she and her husband tried IVF. Instead of this bringing them closer together, it drew her husband apart. Coming home from the hospital with a newborn alone was something she never thought would be her. To say she has trust issues with men would be an understatement
Abby and Nick have made sacrifices for their children. They both did what they thought they had to do. Their boys were the most important people in their lives. When Abby suggested a friends with benefits arrangement with Nick, he wholeheartedly agreed. From the moment he met her he felt a connection to her. He knew her reasons for not wanting more and he kept his feelings to himself. He would give her time.
Nick was everything Abby wanted for a partner and most importantly a father for Hunter. How could she not fall in love with him.
Can she finally let her heart open and find the forever she has always wanted, or will life get in the way and prevent her. Nick, and the boys from being the family she always dreamed she wanted.

I am always excited to read a romance by Lea Coll as I am confident I will never be disappointed - Well Ms Coll took her romance writing to another level with the first book in her brand new series, Feel My Love, this was an exceptional story it was deeply moving, heart-wrenching in places yet a beautiful love story, and boy was the chemistry between this couple scorching hot.

This book though is more than a romance it is a heart rendering journey for both Nick and Abby, Abby a single mother to 8-year-old Hunter who has, with merit trust issues and her sole purpose is to grow her business and be there for Hunter and wonderful swoon worthy Nick who has moved to town to take care of his 8-year nephew and give Brody a stable family life, what he wasn’t expecting was to bump into the one night stand he had at a wedding months before who is now far from his thoughts, Abby also never forgot about Nick but Hunter must come first, but as the pair spend more together as Nick is the kid's baseball coach then the attraction has rooted to bloom again, but will Nick stay or leave?

If Feel My Love is a glimpse at what is to come in this series, readers this will be the must read series of 2023

Those who feel unworthy are the most worthy of all
Fee My Love (Ever After Book 1) by Lea Coll is a sweet and steamy romance journey of Abby and Nick. Abby and Nick thought their one night would be it, but fate had other ideas for their future. Antagonized by their differing pasts, both Nick and Abby came out of those experiences feeling much the same; unworthy. Then there’s the fear of letting love in, taking a chance of allowing each other into their hearts. And lastly, Abby has steel reinforced walls around her heart and Nick is a runner at the slightest hint of discord.
The plot takes this couple through a one night stand encounter to becoming more acquainted through travel team baseball, to friends with benefits. Then finally, to wanting more, but not allowing themselves to reveal the true depth of their feelings, wants and desires. Abby and Nick also fall back on putting the children before themselves, even when it’s a barely veiled excuse. Granted their reasons are valid, but neither guarded hearts nor running away allows for a truly fulfilled life.
Overall, Abby and Nick‘s story is further enriched with Hunter and Brody bonding with Nick through baseball. It’s through all the connections that this worthy couple find the strength and courage, with the support of those around them, to stop the negativity and the past from ruling their lives. With all the love of a ready made family and the promise of a joyful future, Abby and Nick grab their HEA and make it theirs.
I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.

Readers, you’re in for a treat with this amazing new series by Lea Coll. Although this is a spin off from her previous series set in Annapolis, you can read this book without being lost. We’ve met Abby before because she’s Brooke’s sister. Abby is a single mom to her son, Hunter. She was devastated when Seth, her husband, left her right after Hunter was born. Now she’s a photographer and has partnered with Gia at Happily Ever Afters. At Ethan and Savannah’s wedding, Abby notices the oh so sexy best man, Nick. He’s noticed her also. They decide to have a one night stand and what a steamy time it was. Months later, they’re each still thinking about that night. Then, Nick’s brother, Austin is jailed and Nick moves to Annapolis to care for his son, Brody. I’m not going to leave a bunch of spoilers, so please do yourself a favor and grab this steamy, heartwarming read. You will love all the characters, both the familiar ones and the new ones. I can’t wait to get to read the future books in this series.

I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

I am a sucker for a fantastic romance. And this, my friends, is just that! You have a strong, sexy, male lead that is caring for his nephew. You have a strong, sexy female lead caring for her son. Get them together for some adult shenanigans and BAM!!! You have an enjoyable read to get you through the cold winter's night!

Nick is doing his best to raise his bum of a brother's son. A sweet little guy and a loving uncle equals stars in my eyes!! Abby is running a successful business and is looking for some solid adult time. Feelings get caught and that scares even the best of them. This book has the best kind of moments: fun in the early stages, the middle holy crap stages, and the surprise let's do it stages! I can't wait to see what the rest of the series looks likes! @theoriginialmrsp

5 star Review Feel My Love (Ever After Series #1) by Leah Coll

I was so excited when I heard that Lea Coll had a new series releasing. Feel My Love was a well written and entertaining book that ticked all the boxes for me.

I love single parent stories, particularly those set in a small town. Nick and Abby were easy to relate to and I quickly became invested in the story that Ms. Coll wove.

This second chance at love story was both heartbreaking and heartwarming. It certainly had me going through a number of emotions whilst reading.

Their journey was not without issues, however it was an emotional journey that showed that with commitment and perseverance, love can grow.

I am excited to see what Ms. Coll had in store for this series.

A great beginning to a new series.
Abby and Nick met at a wedding where she was the photographer and he was the best man. They had an attraction to each other and had a one-night stand. Abby is a single mother to Hunter and doesn't have time for any relationships. Nick is the guardian to his nephew, Brody, and is also starting to coach his baseball team. Abby and Nick meet again when Hunter signs up for Nick's team. They decide to try to keep things professional but it doesn't work. Nick feels a draw to her and Hunter and Brody likes them, too. As time goes on, the two families spend more time together. Will they be able to make one family and overcome their problems? I liked this story and I'm looking forward to more in this series. I received an early copy to read and review. I'm leaving my honest review.

Now this is how you start a new series! I swear Lea is the Queen of writing a series within a series! It’s genius…we get to meet new characters but still have our beloved and trusted former characters involved. We seriously get the best of both worlds…and I’m here for it. Abby is a single mother and a professional photographer. She works very hard to juggle work, Hunter, school and sports..she’s very proud and doesn’t like asking for help. Nick is new in town and he is running a kids baseball team and taking care of his nephew. Nicks brother has gotten himself into trouble and can be going away for awhile. So Nick is stepping up for Brody and being the father he truly needs. When Nick and Abby met at a weeding several months ago, they had no idea that they would see each other again after spending an amazing evening together. Of course they make the biggest mistake by saying that they still want to see each other but their feelings can’t get involved! We all know this will get out of hand. I loved These two sooo much together. He wanted her almost instantly and had great ideas for her photography business to grow. They were both surrounded by people supporting their parenting skills. Can they combine there big mixed matched family and make it work. I loved how hard the towns people are working to have a one stop shop for there amazing wedding business. This was a quick paced read with a great story and I’m already excited about reading the next book in the series.

Feel My Love is my new favorite Lea Coll book. I loved everything about this book! I'm such a sucker for a single parent love story and this one hit on all levels since Abby is a single mother and Nick is a single father to his nephew so its a double win in my book. Nick's protectiveness and love for his nephew is so touching and Abby's love for her son is just and endearing. Lea Coll did a wonderful job with these characters and their relationship. I didn't want to put this book down. I felt like I was right there with them all the way through the book. I can't wait for the next one in this new series. I'm counting down until then!

I enjoyed Abby and Nick's story. However, I did not enjoy the non-communication drama and instead made assumptions about what the other wants. So that was a downer for me. I think it would have been sweet without it IMO.

Like visiting a favorite and beloved vacation spot, it is always good to relax and catch up with the characters in this series. Nick is the new character who has moved into town to shake up Abby’s well ordered life. The cadence of the plot is soothing and effortless making it easy to continually turn the pages. Nick and Abby are dealing with hard issues but they have friends and family who rally around to support them. There are surprises to be had in the story, but it all ends gloriously.

What a great start to a new series! With Lea's books, you can't help but feel like you know the characters personally, especially because she introduce them so subtly within her other books.

Abby and Nick's story has it all... romance, heat, surprise, and most of all, a HEA!

Do not miss this one!

Feel My Love is the beginning of the new Ever After Series and is the story of Abby and Nick. Abby is Brooke’s sister and she meets Nick, who is the Best Man, at Savannah and Ethan’s wedding. These are two single parents who have a one night stand never thinking they will see each other again. Even though they might kinda want to.

Nick isn’t actually a single parent, though he is acting in that role. He moved to town and rented a home and is taking care of his 8 year old nephew while his brother is in jail. Abby is a single mom after her husband left her not long after bringing their baby home from the hospital. She has major trust and abandonment issues. Nick knows right away that Abby is someone he wants to see again because he feels something during their one night stand but Abby doesn’t have time for entanglements so she sneaks out never thinking she will see him again. Imagine both of their surprises when they meet again on the baseball field where Abby brings her son and Nick is the coach!

Both of these characters have much baggage that they need to overcome to make things work. Nick knows he wants to but Abby is very reluctant, though she likes how she feels when Nick is around. Although Nick may not be sticking around himself. Nick’s nephew is being bullied in school due to his father’s crimes and Nick is wondering if it would be better to leave town to protect him. Abby knows this is a possibility and it makes her even more reluctant to trust Nick fully. Nick is fantastic with Abby and she is with him too, but they have so much that is getting in the way of the relationship. Sometimes adulting is hard!

I liked Nick and Abby and loved how they developed their relationship from a one night stand, to friends and then more. I really loved how Nick supported Abby’s photography and had great ideas to grow her business. There was a deep foundation and serious chemistry. Their chemistry and sexy times were what got them through much of the time while they worked on the ‘adulting’ part. I loved the friends and family they each had in their corners cheering them on. I also loved the relationship that develops between both of their boys. Hunter and Brody were great and I loved seeing them become such good friends.

Eventually they figure things out, and along with their ready made family, find their HEA. As with other stories in the Second Chance Series (since this series is an offshoot of that one), it is so nice to catch up with old friends and see how they’re doing. It’s also nice having those folks around to help Nick and Abby through their difficult times. Can’t wait for the next story!

This is the perfect romance for Valentine's Day. Different themes of love run throughout the story - parental love, familial love and romantic love.

Both Abby and Nick have had to deal with a lot of drama in their lives. Nick has been dealing with his criminal sibling for years. He's always willing to step in and help his brother's son when Austin gets into trouble. He's put his own life on hold so that he can be there for his nephew. He's always got one foot out the door in case he needs to drop whatever he's doing so that he can do what's best for his nephew. Now that Austin's got himself in some serious trouble, Nick steps up to care for Brody. He's determined to give Brody the life he deserves, perhaps at the cost of his own happiness.

Abby has been abandoned by her ex-husband after the birth of their first child. She, too, is focused on giving her son everything that she can and creating a secure and safe home for him. While she has help from friends and family, she keeps most people at arm's length since she was hurt so badly by her ex.

When Abby and Nick meet at a wedding (she's the photographer and he's the best man) they act on their mutual attraction for a night of no-strings pleasure. When Nick steps up to care for Brody and moves back to town, their paths cross again when Nick begins coaching a local baseball team. While they both try to focus on their responsibilities, they can't help but revisit their attraction. Soon, a purely physical relationship turns into something much more, whether they want to acknowledge it or not.

The chemistry between these two characters is wonderful and Abby is a strong and independent female lead. While both Abby and Nick run hot and cold at times, their reservations are relatable based on their individual traumas that lead to their present. Nick, while a bit confused at times, evolves into a more mature and caring person who learns to balance his own happiness with that of others. I liked that both Abby and Nick are a little bit older and more established characters - their characters have been formed by a wealth of experiences, both good and bad.

This is just a really lovely romance read.

Four stars for this romance read.

This is an honest, voluntary review of an ARC of the story.

I loved Abby and Nick’s emotional and heartwarming journey in Feel My Love by Lea Coll, book one in the Ever After series, a deeply moving, heart-wrenching, yet beautiful love story. Abby is a single mother to 8-year old Hunter and a wedding photographer, trying to balance her work schedule and her son’s sports schedule which often means she doesn’t focus on herself. After a one-night stand at her friends’ wedding, she finds out that her one night stand is her son’s new baseball coach. Nick just moved to town to take care of his 8-year nephew and give Brody a stable family life, while Nick’s brother is in jail. After giving up his career in the minor leagues to help take care of his nephew, Nick moves to Annapolis in order to keep stability for his nephew and starts to create a life for himself. He definitely wasn’t expecting was to bump into the one night stand he had at a wedding months; a woman who had not been far from his thoughts. Abby also never forgot about Nick, but Hunter must come first. As these two spend more together their original attraction re-ignites and sparks, their chemistry is off-the-charts, and all seems right until Abby’s insecurities arise, making her question everything.

Nick wanted to help Abby and had great ideas for her photography business to grow. Nick was amazing, especially how he tried to take care of Abby and help her realize that there was nothing wrong with asking for and accepting help. Shaped by their pasts, both Nick and Abby came out of those experiences feeling much the same; unworthy. They both feared letting love in, taking a chance and allowing each other into their hearts. Lastly, Abby has steel reinforced walls around her heart and Nick is a runner at the slightest hint of discord. It will take some honesty and communication before these two can vanquish their fears and find love, together. I highly recommend Feel My Love to other readers and can’t wait to read the next story.

This author has given her readers characters that are impossible not to love, to empathize with and cheer on to a happily ever after. Abby and Nick’s story is well told with moments of poignant reflection, laughter, tenderness and passion. The love and support of their family and friends only add to their wonderful story. Both are used to putting the needs of the boy in their care before their own. Fate or divine guidance has given them a chance to find love and happiness for themselves as well as their boys. I loved this sweet and touching single parent romance.

Both Abby and Nick have been hurt by someone they loved and trusted. They have learned to keep their hearts guarded and put the needs and wants of their boys before their own. Giving in to their attraction at his cousin’s wedding was uncharacteristic for both of them. Neither could forget the passionate night they spent in each other’s arms or the strong soul-deep connection they had felt that night. When they meet again months later, he is the coach of the baseball team her young son desperately wants to be on. Abby and Nick are both a little flustered and hesitant with each other at first, partly do to the warnings they receive from others and partly afraid of the connection they had felt that night. They both feel the heavy weight of being solely responsible for the well being of the boys in their care, but they also feel drawn to each other. First it is few shared meals and the sharing of their worries and concerns about their boys. Then it’s secret touches, stone kisses and an agreement to be friends with benefits. Despite their agreement to keep their feelings out of it, both find themselves falling in love and struggling to hide it. Will they find the courage to fight for their love and reach for each other rather than retreating and denying their love?

I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This series is off to a great start.

This book takes place in the famous Annapolis Harbor, where it all began. It has the same cast of characters playing the background roles as the other series (Annapolis Harbor, Second Chance, and All I Want) while introducing new characters.

In this book Abby is a single mother and a photographer. She has joined up with Gia in her wedding planner business, offering a one stop shop for all your wedding needs. At Ethan and Savannah's wedding she finally decides that she deserves one night of passion and winds up with Nick. But things change when the man she never thought to see again turns out to be her sons baseball coach.

This book was a great read full of doubt, angst, loyalty and love. Nick is the most amazing man and he truly knows how to step up and take care of others, unlike his no good brother Austin. Throughout the book Nick proves his worth over and over again.

Abby really struggles with her self esteem. Having to be a single mother and being left to raise her son on her own has really taken a hit on her self worth. She feels that everyone will only leave her and no one really cares enough to stay. This causes her to be wary and not ask for help.

Together these two lovers fight to change their outlooks on life and how to best to navigate the rocky waters called life. I was amazed and full of wonder with Nick and his personality. I loved Abby's character as well. She was so sweet and kind.

Overall this book is a wonderful story with plenty of challenges for the main characters. The book captures the attention of the readers and holds it. It is well written with an amazing cast of characters and a great plot. It is full of love and has a happily ever after worth reading for. I highly recommend Lea Coll's books. They are wonderful reads in the romance world.

Not Just a Single Dad, But a Single Mom Too

I’m not sure if this book is more Nick’s story or Abby’s, so I’m just going to say it’s their story. Abby has started working with a couple other women as part of a wedding planning team as the photographer. She is a single mom, raising her son, Hunter. She meets Nick at a wedding, has a night of fun and thought she’d never see him again.
Nick has stepped in to take care of his nephew, Brody, when his brother lands in jail, which brings him to Annapolis. He rents a house and decides to become the new baseball coach and put a team together. Nick is the one constant and steady person in Brody’s life. Hunter and Brody become fast friends being on the team and their shared passion for baseball. Nick is happy to have Abby back in his life after he thought he’d never see her again after the wedding.
There is a lot that goes on in this book. Abby has trust issues. Nick just wants what’s best for Brody. Neither really considers what they want or need for themselves. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because there is too much inner-dialogue that both Abby and Nick have going on in their heads. You understand their turmoil, but just have a conversation and move on.
The book is well written. The characters are likeable. The kids are great. There’s just the right amount of steam. Any lover of romance will enjoy this book.

Lea Coll has become my to go author for low angst romance stories.

Abby is a wedding photographer, single mother, her son being her main focus, since her husband bailed when he was a baby. I’ve met her character in a previous book and I liked her determination to be a good mother while making a career. I feel like in doing so, she lost sight of the fact that she’s a woman too, until she met Nick at a wedding. Fate would have it, that the moment she decided to have a night for herself, the man would end up being her son’s new baseball coach.

Nick is a great guy, he left behind a baseball career opportunity, in order to help his brother with his son, now again makes he a life altering decision to help raise his nephew. The last thing he needs is being involved with the mother of one of the little boys on his team.

Fortunately for them, the two boys that are the center of their universe, are forming a friendship that forces them to spend time together. This is almost the right person at the wrong time situation, but they soon realize that the love of the right person makes life easier, not harder. Nobody can blame them of anything, because they are two hard working adults dealing with circumstances life threw their way. In the second half, there's a little plot twist that made me really happy, it made the story unpredictable.

Feel My Love is the first book in Lea Coll's new Ever After Series. This is Abby's story, who we have met in previous books.

As a single mom with a full time career, her only priority for the last 8 years since her ex-husband left her when their son was born has been Hunter. He is her sole focus and she hasn't had time to think about anything but him and work. Which leaves no time for a relationship, or even a hook up.

During her first wedding working for the wedding planner Gia, she feels the best man's eyes on her. And after overthinking in her head, she decides to go for it and have a one night stand with the sexy best man named Nick. After their one night together, she can't stop thinking about him and knows that she will never see him again.

Until she does.

Nick has recently moved home to take over guardianship of his nephew Brody. He has also taken over as coach for a local travel baseball team. The same baseball team that Abby's son Hunter is trying out for.

With Hunter being on Nick's baseball team and Nick and Hunter becoming close, you know the inevitable is going to happen with Abby and Nick being forced to share space. But will they both want to keep their relationship as physical, or will things turn into more? Will their individual lives allow them to let it be more?

Abby is a wedding photographer. One night at a wedding, she catches the eye of the best man. He watches her all night until he gets a chance to approach her. His name is Nick and they have one night together. Abby sneaks out and they both think it was nice that they have their memories of that night, but that's all it will ever be. Some months later, Abby takes her son to baseball practice and meets the new coach. That new coach is Nick. He has returned to his hometown to care for his nephew because his brother has been arrested and will likely be spending a lot of time in jail. Abby and Nick spend more time together because of the boys and she suggests a friends with benefits situation. Soon, though, there are bigger feelings involved. But Nick isn't sure he's staying in town and Abby doesn't feel that she can trust herself to make good choices where her heart is involved. When they get carried away one time and Abby ends up pregnant, can she trust that Nick will stay by her side?

I loved both of these characters and understood completely their reluctance to get involved in a serious relationship. I think Nick accepted what was going to happen a lot sooner than he admitted it to himself; his heart knew before his head did. After he found out about the baby, he was all in. Abby had learned the hard way to not trust, but Nick showed her every day that she could trust him.
