The United States has been invaded by the corrupt People's Federation of Nations (PFN), whose habit of swapping citizens with other countries gives rise to a deadly virus--the Black Grunge--that bestows upon few survivors special the ability to see the future among them.
After Rebel Ryan survives the brunge, she and her pocket of freedom fighters flee into the wilderness to survive an attack and find an amazing colony. She unwittingly sees a meeting of the PFN while she's sleeping and is seen back by a dream reader. Now, the PFN will stop at nothing to find her, who they consider to be their number one enemy, and gain control of her new home.
