Very interesting read, I enjoyed the content immensely. The layout was slightly confusing and the grammatical/syntax errors are the reason for the 3-stars.

In 2024 Gognella Inc released “Remember the First Ladies: The Legacies of America’s History-Making Women.” The book is authored by Diana Carlin, Anita McBride. and Nancy Keegan Smith. The First Lady legacies cover 50 First Ladies beginning with Martha Washington (1797) and ending with Dr Jill Biden (2021). The book’s Part 1 chapters feature the private lives and duties of First Ladies, and the wisdom of Martha Washington, Abagail Adam’s, and Dolly Madison. These chapters are followed by a wonderful profile of First Lady activities during the Antebellum and Civil War period of American history. The Part 1 chapters also cover First Lady activities during last half of the 19th century and first half of the 20th century. These discussions profile Lou Henry Hoover’s and activist Anna Eleanor Roosevelt’s initiatives. The Part 1 chapters also feature the activities of Mamie Eisenhower, Bess Truman Jackie Kennedy, and Melania Trump. The First Part ends with discussions of roles performed by Lady Bird Johnson, World War II wives, Nancy Reagan, Barbara Bush. Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, and Dr. Jill Biden The Part 2 portion of the book has five chapters about the creation of the Office for First Ladies, the impact of social media on First Lady activities, their presidential campaigning work loads, and how First Ladies united in preserving the White House building infrastructure and artifacts. I especially enjoyed reading how these White House infrastructure initiatives impacted American global power and the initiatives of the New Millennium political leaders. The book concludes with exceptional reference notes, social poll rankings of the 50 American First Ladies, and the practices that are in place today to help future generations. This is a wonderful book! (P)
