After a heart-wrenching farewell, Komie boards a bus bound for the unknown, leaving behind a garden that responded to her call and the grandchild she loves.

Dive into a gripping urban fantasy where the line between human and Unhidden blurs, and the struggle for acceptance could mean the difference between life and death.
Root, Stem, and Flower: A Guardians of the PHAE Prequel Short Story, my tenth read from author Christy Nicholas., the first co-written with author Rowan Dillon. I first heard of this author when I received an email from Green Dragon Press and read An Immigrant's Tale: A Druid's Brooch Prequel Short Story 0.5 (Druid's Brooch Series), one thing lead to another and here I am 10 books later. Well-written with a well-developed primary character, a very good read. I'm between books #2 & #3 & discivered I received a Kindle edition of this prequel & “I'm voluntarily reading & leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. Next up All's Fae That Ends Fae: An Irish Contemporary Fantasy Novel (Guardians of the PHAE Book 3). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Lovely little prequel to the Guardians of the PHAE. Native American from the Abenaki denies to leave the states and travel to Ireland where the Unhidden (ordinary people who were changed by a bizarre magnetic shift) join forces to save themselves. Quick little read and very entertaining. I immediately added the next three to my collection. It's listed as young adult, but I figure that's true of most of us - young at heart (at least for part of each day).
