This is laugh out loud and off the rails with its cast of quirky characters in small town USA. But crime happens everywhere, even in this cozy little town. There's murder and some attempted murders, so who's next???
Will it get solved before the body count mounts?? I loved how the residents of Clinton band together with their loyalty to each other (for the most part) and bond when problems arise. Greed and jealousy are great motivators. The perpetrator was the last one I would have suspected. Sometimes you never really know a person!!

Lots of excitement and activity happening in this 2nd book in this series. It can be read as a standalone. Harmony has landed another big event for the town and her Inn with the Walker Zombie Ranger TV series. Of course, nothing goes smoothly and additionally a murder occurs. Events continually happen pulling Harmony in all directions while trying to salvage the contests and working on solving the murder. There are lots of suspects, twists and motives to keep you guessing on the whodunit. I found the book entertaining and an easy quick read.

Zombies, murder and mayhem
A TV show is shot in Clinton and Harmony is organising it - rather herding cats than temperamental actors and matching groupies.
Peggy Sue is one of the contestant and owner of a coffee shop who seems to be in trouble with the healthy inspector.
When Martin is found shot with the golden arrow, Peggy Sue's winning trophy, she becomes the main suspect.
But when Peggy Sue is collapsing and almost dies, the mood and possibilities of who is guilty change again.

May 1, 2024This was such a funny, enjoyable read, I can't wait to go back and read book 1. I also love a good zombie show and now I get to enjoy a good book with zombies and have a good laugh.
Second Chance Inn, is hosting the tv show Walker, Zombie Ranger and they are throwing a Valentine contest call ApocaLove. Harmony is hoping this will have bring people back to the Inn. What she didn't expect was a dead body. Now on top of everything she has to figure out who the killer is.
This is a must read, especially if you love a humorous mystery.

Brewed in Betrayal is Book 2 in The Second Chance Inn Cozy Mystery by M J O'Neill. Harmony has gotten cult TV show, Walker, Zombie Ranger to film in her town. Who knew that the fans would be crazy plus dressed as zombies. Murder was not on Harmony's agenda but she and her beau, Sheriff Seth, will have their hands full solving the murder. I enjoyed this cozy mystery with wonderful surprises and twists and turns. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.

The characters absolutely made this book shine. The story was funny and had a well plotted mystery to solve. But the dialogue and character interactions absolutely took this book from good to stellar. This should definitely be in you TBR pile.

Back in Clinton with all the zombies and quirky town folk. This story has murder, poisoning and scheming . Harmony and Seth and the rest of the gang are back to get the bad guy and save the businesses of Clinton. We get more of Walker, Zombie Ranger and their cast and crew. Love all the southernism. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Absolutely incredible. I was on the edge of my seat while all the secrets began unfolding in this one. Whew what an intense read. I am beyond excited to see what fun things are ahead for book 3.

Harmony is hosting a Zombie TV show competition at her Inn in Clinton Georgia. It's a Valentine's Day Zombie and love fest with lots of people dressed as Zombies. There is a murder a Man has been shot with an arrow and a Contestent is accused. So fun I enjoyed this story and I would recommend it.
