Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read. I really enjoyed this book!
Roman and Becca (Isolde) met when she crashes into his restaurant. Roman and one of his sister is just about to leave when he sees headlights coming towards them. They rush to get out of the way when Becca crashes into the building. They call 911 and Becca tries to apologies and offers to pay for the damages but all Roman can think about is the legacy in the building. Becca is an undercover agent working to bring down a few bad guys when one of them tries to run her off the road. The next day Roman's mom tells him she didn't raise him to talk that way to a woman, so he calls Becca to take her up on her offer to help at the restaurant. Becca heads to the restaurant where they rebuild the wall, rebuild the booths, paint and fix up the restaurant. Roman tells Becca about the history of the restaurant he took over for his family. Roman and Becca work for a few days together and soon they have everything completed. Roman wants to have the restaurant open for Calzone Day and they pull it off. The contact that Becca had when into hiding but she calls the big boss to tell him what is going on. When the guy that Becca is looking into finally comes out of hiding he tells her he has a shipment coming in and she needs to help at the docks. Roman comes to find Becca and when her boss grabs her arm Roman doesn't like that. Roman soon realizes he started to have feeling for Becca. Roman invites Becca to come in for a calzone on Calzone day then asks her if she'll go on a date with him, she accepts. Calzone day is a huge success and everyone talks about some of the history in the building. The next day Roman has everything ready when Becca comes over for their date. They head up on the roof where Roman has a nice table set so they can watch the sunset over the little town of Candy Cane Keys. They talk but Becca realizes this relationship can go anywhere, she shouldn't have gotten Roman involved. She knows the consequences of getting involved when she's on a job. When Becca leaves she knows she needs to cut ties with Roman even though her heart will be broken. Becca boss request she comes to the dock for a last minute job. When she arrives she finds out that he's hiding something, she soon realizes that it's an illegal shipment coming in. Everyone is on high alert, soon guns start going off and her boss drags her into a getaway boat, but she manages to get away. Becca tries to hid out because her bosses picture is all over the news. Roman goes to chief of Police who tells him he thinks Becca is on the good side. When Roman tries to get a hold of Becca she answers his call. He asks her to come to his house, when she does he pulls her inside and they make love. Becca stays the night, but then Roman hears a car door shut. Roman gets up to check it out and sees a vehicle parked across from his home. When he goes downstairs and tries to turn on the kitchen light someone grabs his arm. Soon Roman sees Becca coming downstairs with her gun drawn, she tells her boss to put his gun down, it's over. Becca's boss has Roman with a gun pointed to his head, she gives up. Roman knows if Becca puts the gun down that they'll be at her bosses mercy. Roman makes a move and Becca helps, but Roman gets shot. Becca kills her boss then calls to report it, when the ambulance shows up they take Roman. Becca knows this will be the last time she sees him, and Roman asks her to come back to him. Becca heads back to Atlanta, Georgia but everyday she thinks about Roman. She asks how he is doing and her captain gives her updates. Four months later, Becca gets a new partner. When she heads home for the night she thinks about Roman, so she decides to make a trip back to Candy Cane Keys. After she has the plane ticket, Roman shows up, she tells him she just made airline reservations. Roman tells Becca he loves her and wherever she is he wants to be. Becca tells him she loves him.

She shows him possibilities
Becca crashes into Roman's life hard and fast, she makes him laugh, she makes him smile and she makes him think about more than the business....she is his one...or is she?
Becca definitely brings out a softer, lighter side of Roman and if she didn't have as many secrets she would be really good for him, as he is a different person when he is with her. But secrets have taken over Becca's life and with the secrets come guilt and danger. In turn these have her hiding from Roman whilst her head and her heart fight it out.

What's an undercover agent to do when she meets Mr. Right? Isolde is on assignment on the docks in Candy Cane Key when she crashed into Roman's restaurant. Roman is grouchy and stressed when they first meet but she offers to help fix the damage and pay for repairs. She feels bad about lying to Roman but it took a dramatic appearance from Adam to clarify their feelings.

A little suspenseful but still good

This was a fun and fast paced small town read. A good amount of action and suspense with a sweet ending. Isolde and Roman slowly built their connection as they repaired what she destroyed the night they met.
