One of the best individual accounts of a WWII Soldier that I've ever read. Short book but as detailed and genuine as it can get. Dr. Thacker presents an African American Soldier's perspective in a way I haven't seen before. A must read for any professional Soldier or person of faith.

Read this after meeting Mr. Smith at the WWII Memorial on his Honor Flight day. Thank you, Mr. Rothacker for telling a story that needed to be told.
