The story grew into The Scottish Scrolls trilogy, which has been featured at literary festivals, including the South Dakota Festival of Books.
Her work explores identity, belonging, and moral ambiguity through lush, character-driven storytelling. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing and degrees in Journalism and Scriptwriting, speaks three languages, and has travelled extensively through Ireland and Scotland researching its local myth and history.
When she’s not writing, K.T. leads talks and workshops and tends to her metaphysical supplies shop. In her downtime, she enjoys thrifting, TV marathons with her husband, and being bossed around by her rescue dog and two whimsical bunnies.

I was privileged enough to have read an advanced copy of K.T. Anglehart's second Scottish Scrolls installment, The Twin Flame, and I have to say that I enjoyed this book even more than The Wise One. Now that the stage is set and Kenna is fully waking up to her powers, the story is both quick and detailed, and so chock-full of magic that you feel like a visitor plopped right in the middle of an enchanted countryside...makes me think there should definitely be a Scottish Scrolls Highland Tour!
Also, I love what the author has done with the Andre-Seán storyline...I think those two are my favourite. And I have to say that the author must have done so much research because these books are basically a love letter to Celtic history and folklore.
Anyone who hasn't read the first book should go back and read it before moving on to this installment. So far, the series is a thrilling (and sometimes spooky, thanks to all the ghosts) urban fantasy and perfect for YA readers.

What an incredible sequel to The Wise One!! KT Anglehart takes us to Scotland in the Twin Flame and its stunning landscapes steeped with history and enchanting folklore. We see McKenna begin to understand her powers and reunite with her family. I love Nissa’s arc and her growth in the book.
I couldn’t put this book down - there are loads of twists, surprises, and moments that tug at your heart strings. Exactly what I needed to lift my spirits with everything going on in the world.
KT makes you think deeper about your relationship with nature and yourself. The world-building makes you want to learn more and more, and explore this beautiful universe.

The author Katrina Tortorici Anglehart did a very great job in telling the story of a seventeen-year-old girl who has a prophecy hanging over her life to be the remaining wise one. Mckenna left the home she lived in, which was located in Boston and went to the British Isles in search of her birth mother. Locating her mother would help her answer many lingering questions in her mind about her existence and the mission she has been told to embark on. She searched for her mother, Annie several weeks and was happy to have found her The whole plot of the story was too spellbound and promising to keep the readers glued to the story as Mckenna grows a very strong being through expanding her knowledge of the powers that she has inherited with the help of My favorite character in the story would be Mckenna because of the way she always acted on impulse without considering what other people thought was the right thing or wrong thing to do.
The seamless pacing captivates readers, intertwining with the vibrant characters and elaborate world-building to imbue the story with the profound death. Infused with an enchanting fusion of magic and mystery, this book proves to be a captivating read that incites anticipation for the forthcoming installment.

This sequel fully pulled me back into McKenna’s world, and I loved it even more than book 1, which I devoured! It is immersive, emotional, and packed with that same Celtic-inspired magic that makes this series feel so unique.
McKenna continues to be such a strong main character. She is powerful but still figuring herself out, and I really liked how her growth is balanced with moments of doubt and vulnerability. It makes her journey feel real and easy to connect with.
I also really enjoyed the emotional weight of her reunion with Abby. Their relationship adds so much depth to the story, especially with the way Abby helps guide her while still letting her step into her own power. It gave the story a strong sense of legacy and family connection.
The stakes feel even higher in this book, especially with the High Priestess becoming a more present threat. There is a constant sense of tension and urgency, and I liked how the prophecy and visions kept adding layers to the mystery.

The Review
The author has recaptured what made book one in the Scottish Scrolls series so beloved and upped the ante with more action and magic than ever before. While book one did a great job laying the foundation for this series, book two fully explores the larger magical and mythical universe and the protagonist’s growing powers.
The vivid detail that went into the story, as well as the character dynamics and the fast-paced atmosphere, allowed for, at times, a harrowing yet compelling narrative. The thoughtful and creative approach to Celtic history and mythology was perfectly crafted. It was also great to see the back and forth of the protagonist and her mother in their growing relationship.

While book one did a great job laying the foundation for this series, book two fully explores the larger magical and mythical universe and the protagonist’s growing powers.
The vivid detail that went into the story, as well as the character dynamics and the fast-paced atmosphere, allowed for, at times, a harrowing yet compelling narrative. The thoughtful and creative approach to Celtic history and mythology was perfectly crafted. It was also great to see the back and forth of the protagonist and her mother in their growing relationship.

What a great continuation of a truly fascinating story. Though set in 1991, there exists relevance and relatability. The folklore and myth are both ancient and fresh. It's beautifully done.
I love how none of the characters are inherently good or bad. It fit the underlying theme of the story, which I appreciate, along with the concept of a changeable written future. It has a ring of Norse Norns (fates) to it. I savored the blend of lore the author wove through every element of this tale and characters.
Nothing in this world is flawless, but this read was so enjoyable I've none to note. It did exactly what it was meant to - entertain and project me into a world other than my own. It completely enthralled me. Well done!!

The Twin Flame by K.T. Angelhart is historically an interesting read. It takes readers on a thrill ride that weaves in and out of different time periods. The story is complicated and complex which is exactly what readers want in a good book. The heroine's journey is a long and difficult one. She has big tasks set up for her to accomplish. There was enough intrigue and magic to keep my attention. Also, the main protagonist is a teenage girl so, her behavior and interactions are fun to follow. K.T. Angelhart keeps the fictional characters and scenes as realistic as possible. Meaning, it feels like one has traveled through a time portal.

This wonderfully complex story is rich with self-discovery, family and found family, and plenty of twists and turns. As Anglehart takes you on Mckenna’s journey to find her mother and learn her powers, expect delightful elements of magic, philosophy, early 1990’s pop culture (loved it!), heartwarming friendship, and stunning Irish and Scottish settings.

O.M.G!!! I don't have any other words for The Twin Flame. I love the pace of how K.T. writes. I lose interest if there ends up being too much focus on one particular thing. The combo of Scottish lore and history is such a fun adventure. I've never been one to like books that skate that line but she does it wonderfully *chefs kiss*. This one rivals The Wise One in suspense and thrills. I definitely didn't see some things coming. I've loved following K.T. on social media and through this launch. She is such a deserving person. I can't recommend this book and her others enough. Every friend who asks for recommendations, hers are the first I mention.

The second book is in The Scottish Scrolls series, and if you haven't read the first two books yet, you are in for treat.
The Twin Flame is set in Scotland and tells the ongoing tale of magical lore, fae, witchcraft, universal energy, and magic.
McKenna and her best friend Nissa continue their journey, which started in The Wise One (book one), this time from the Isle of Man into Scotland.
This book is escapism at its best. A journey about finding your true powers, understanding who you are, and navigating a world unknown.
I am very happy I stumbled across this series and cannot wait for more.

Book II did not disappoint! I enjoyed reading about each character's backstory, which left the reader feeling like they knew the person—pulling us into the story even more.
I've always enjoyed folklore and stories with faeries and magic; this series does not disappoint.

I’ve said this before and I will say it again. The amount of research that went into this book is obvious and it truly shows the passion the author has for Celtic mythology and folklore. The first book introduced us to McKenna, a very powerful witch known as the Wise One. The Twin Flame picks up right where the first ends and is everything we wanted.
McKenna continues her journey to find her mother and figure out who she really is. Her powers keep developing and her abilities are absolutely astounding.
Nissa and Cillian have their own major roles to play in this book, but you’ll just have to read it and see how it all goes down.
Sean and Andre are my favourite set of dads ever and they’ll stop at nothing to protect their daughter.
New characters are introduced and they have their own roles to play in Kenna’s journey. They move the story forward in major ways.
The Twin Flame is a fun read, full of Celtic folklore and mythology that will make you want to do research of your own and visit these places for real. I know I do!

Magical and impressive story telling in this follow up novel to The Wise One. Strong characters that step from one adventure to another. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in ancient Celtic magic and witchery.

What great book! Reading gives one the feeling being the Kenna walked and dealing with her uncertainties. Seeing Ireland and Scotland through eyes was wonderful. Thanks you K.T. for writing this story and sharing it with me and others.

I love this sequel to The Wise One! Its connection to nature and magic is just beautiful. I love the historical facts incorporated about real accused witches of the past. The ending, not to give it away, is full of action and surprises. The characters have developed so much from the first book - I have become attached to them all! A truly great urban fantasy novel!!

What an amazing sequel! This book brought me to a magical places, so much happening and the author's descriptive way of writing is one of a kind , I could literally picture from every landscape to every room, each detail so well described!! I can't imagine all the research done for this book ! Amazing storyline, made me get anxious, angry, smile, and even brought tears to my eyes... a MUST read ! Looking forward to book 3 already !!
