A Game of SurvivalThis is a Dark Mafia romance where the main character will end up with more than one love interest. This is the second part of a Duet Series. Recommended for aged 18+. To say my world was rocked to my core when Silas, Cole and Lincoln entered my life would be an absurd understatement. Nothing from then on could have prepared me for what I would have to face or the secrets that would eventually come to light.
With Teddy captured, Max missing and Cole clinging to life, will Silas and Lincoln be able to make good on their promises to fix everything and bring back what has been taken from me? Or will Max be the one who holds the answers I so desperately need?
With so many lives hanging in the balance, only time will tell who will emerge from this game of survival.
This book touches on heavy subjects and we advise readers to check out the trigger warnings first, as this contains explicit sexual situations, violence, sensitive subjects, offensive language and very mature topics
This is the second book from the series A Game of Secrets. The first one ended with a cliffhanger. And this one picked up fluently from the very spot. Okay, so if you have read book 1 you would know that Wisdom/Noble combination guarantees a hot plot. And OMG, it does. This book is intense. The plot is insanely thrilling with Teddy gone and Lucille in bits. Consequently, the hunks, Cole, Lincoln, and Silas are wilder than ever. Cole surely takes the front seat when it comes to being manically driven. Every page was full of adrenaline and delivered punch after punch from the Mafia theatrics to steamy drama. The series ends on a great note, leaving a smile on my face. An adventure packed narrative needs a HEA. So thank you!!!
ARC Review: First off… I am so freaking sad this series is over. 😭 I completely fell in love with these characters. S.L. Wisdom and S.J. Noble did it again by completely destroying me and then slowly putting back all the pieces. This book was FULL of suspense and you never knew who you could trust and who you couldn’t. I never could have expected anything that happened. It is full of so much love, loss, and suspense. I literally could not put this one down because each chapter was just as good as the last and you HAD to know what happened next. I absolutely loved how this book included more of Max and Kat. We learned so much more about them and really got to fall in love with them both. My main man Cole had me on edge almost the entire book but he does not let us or his family down. I also LOVED how Lucille “lost herself” in a way and then comes back 10x stronger. I adore how she puts her men in their place and cherishes each one equally. Silas, Lincoln, and Cole will forever be some of my favorite book boys. 🥵 And the relationship between all the kids is so sweet too. I love how they just seamlessly connect like they always belonged together. Then… the epilogue… of the epilogue. It was so perfect and left me feeling slightly less sad that it’s over. Overall, just another absolutely amazing book that you MUST read.
I loved the idea of this story. I think that this could have been a 5⭐️ with some polishing. At first I thought that this book was set in the UK by the dialogue but once I got to around 70% I figured out that this was set in Las Vegas. It is extremely annoying when British authors write in their native speech when their story is supposed to be set in the US. This is really a big pet peeve of mine. If I didn’t enjoy the story so much it would have been a dnf for me.
Please, don’t let my personal opinion deter anyone in any way from reading because it really is a good story. I look forward to reading more from these authors in the future. Maybe we will get a book with Katrina, Max, and Nicholas. Would love to read that!
So with this in mind I am giving it a rating of : 4⭐️-story 2.5⭐️execution/writing 3.5🌶️
Amazing read! Pulls you in from the start. This book is a huge page turner, so there’s your waning. The twists and suspense in the book was great. I really loved the writing.
The guys are amazing. I love Silas so much. I felt a lot of emotions reading this book and how I felt about these guys. I really love Lucille too, she’s a very strong fmc. My heart hurt for her a lot. Oh and the spice was so hot.
The plot to this book was so good. If you like dark why choose pick up this book!! Ahh it was so good. ♡
A Game of Survival is book 2 of A Game of Secrets, and the authors have done it again!!
I cannot recommend these books enough if you are looking for a spicy read (why choose 😉), morally grey men, and a killer plot.
It’s not often a spicy book brings me to tears but this one did, multiple times! I could not get enough and was so throughly engrossed it was almost impossible to put this out down.
Silas, Linc and Cole have my heart - but Cole is my favorite 🤫 - and they will burn the world down for Lucille and Teddy 🖤 touch her and die doesn’t even feel strong enough of a troupe to use for our boys.
First off the book came to a happy end and I’ve loved the why choose in this one. As well as the spice was all there. I couldn’t put the book down as I just wanted to know what was going to happen. It was great to enjoy and the spice was *chef’s kiss*
I absolutely ADORE these authors and their characters! The way these men care for Lucille is possessive but emotionally intelligent at the same time and I AM SO HERE FOR IT! This second installment was the perfect continuation of their journey.
And holy crap, all of the suspense and violence that was included is 👌🏽Lucille has the BEST sass and don’t put up with anyone’s sh*t! Loved itttt!
MOTHER FLIPPIN emotionally intelligent book boyfriends 🫠🫠🫠💦💦
If I were still in the South I’d be fanning myself, y’all 🥵
All of the characters are dang swoon worthy… Lucille… yum. Lincoln… double yum. Cole… the most delectable of yums. Silas… daddy of yums.
This was the perfect ending to book one. I can’t even begin to say how much I adored this book, if I could read it for the first time again … 🫶🏼
Luci is still my favorite single mom, she’s powerful and confident. She knows what she wants and she will not be told no. Even by Silas 🥵
Silas, Cole and Lincoln will always have a special place in my heart. There is no way they will ever be removed. I adore their bossy, overprotective, possessive, dirty talking ways. 🖤
🖤 I am going to do my best to express my love for A Game of Survival and the heart gripping story. S.L. Wisdom & S.J. Noble delivered big time in book 2 and I devoured every word. I’m kind of heartbroken this series is over. My endless love for these characters runs deep. ♥️ Lucille is definitely the fiercest, sexiest, single mom powerhouse ever. She is strong-willed and knows what she wants. Come hell or high water she is going to get what she needs or get one of her marvelous men to do it for her. These sinfully swoonalicious men are everything and more anyone could ask for in a very dark morally gray, mafia, why choose scenario. Silas is the combustible, dominant, powerful mafia don masterpiece of a man. Obsessive, protective, passionate, and sensual. The complete package. Lincoln is calm and in control, until he isn’t. His filthy mouth and fierce sexual bravado is intoxicating. My heart is obsessed with and consumed by Cole. He is dark and twisted. The tortured blood thirsty soul who will go to the ends of the earth and sacrifice himself for those he loves. Each of these these, violent, passionate men bring their own distinct personalities and skill sets to Lucy and are dedicated to making sure she is cared for in every way possible. Touch her and die a horribly violent torturous death seems an appropriate description of their devotion. Having more Max and Katrina in this book adds a wonderful extra layer of depth to the story. I am definitely wishing for more of them in the future. 🖤 This book had me a complete and total emotional mess. A Game of Survival is full of love, loss, suspense, betrayal, sacrifice, and panty melting spice. Just when you think you have a moment to breathe, a tidal wave of action and heart gripping emotion will drown you again and again. I highly recommend this amazing duet and cannot wait to see what these fabulous authors bring to us next.
Well... I didn't like the first book, and the second book wasn't much better.
Same as the first book, this book needs to be edited badly. So many inconsistencies, missspellings, and editing issues. Like... Enzo died in chapter 23. Why did he suddenly appear in chapter 28, helping Silas and Lincoln to free Lucille and Cole? And then in the next chapter, it's been mentioned that they lost Enzo a year ago while he tried to save Teddy and Lucille...
The story behind the book isn't bad, but it's just really badly executed. I didn't like how Lucille's lovers were on Max's neck whenever something went wrong. And especially, that she didn't say much about it. It's your brother. Why are you letting those guys treat him like that? Also, it felt like the relationship that Lucille had with each of them doesn't really have any depth to it. I don't know, it's like something intimate is missing.
S.J. Nobel and S.L. Wisdom you ladies did an amazing job with this book and I'm so sad it's over! A Game of Survival is book 2 and this book is was an emotional one. This book will have your heart breaking and aching along with other emotions. Without giving much away I say this...while Lucille is dealing with something no parent should ever have to go through two of her guys are there to hold her together. The third guy will have you wondering what the heck he is thinking and how could he do that but you'll see it was because he loves her so much he had no other choice. This book is plot heavy with some spice but with the nature of the plot you'll see why the spice that we did get was enough to satify. I really do wish we could get more of Silas, Lincoln, Cole and Lucille but I'm so happy they all got their HEA!
One thing about me: I love morally grey, deliciously possessive men who become everything to the FMC.
SJNOBLE AND SLWISDOM are insanely talented indie authors who created a dark romantic world in which Lucille is in desperate need to protect her child from the hands of forces seeking to control her and her child. Cole, Silas, and Lincoln are all in to protect their girl and go to some serious lengths to do so! And of course the spice is amazing! It’s all the best spice lovers of why choose romances have come to enjoy.
This series were 3 stars there were parts that just didn’t flow well and it kept it from being 4 stars. Also after they finally get Reddy back the shootout at the park and 2nd kidnapping were not needed. We all knew it was going to happen because she felt “suffocated” and insisted none of her men or her bro go with her so obviously something bad was going to happen but it just wasn’t needed and after that the rest of the book just felt unnecessary and boring.

Okay this was amazing like hands down freaking amazing!!! I loved every minute of this duet and well… I need more.. of what I don’t know but I need more because why choose just one 😜
“A Game of Survival” is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, passion, and suspense. It’s a story that will grip you from the start and refuse to let go, blending the worlds of romance and thrilling action in a way that’s both exhilarating and deeply moving.
At the heart of this storm is Lucille, the single mom who’s the epitome of strength and fiery determination. When her world gets turned upside down by her stepfather, Silas, Cole, and Lincoln, promise her to fix it at all costs. Even her stepbrother allies with the three Italian gangsters.
The men in Lucille’s life are more than just love interests; they are complex characters who add depth and intensity to the story. Silas is the symbol of a mafia don—dominant, powerful, and dangerously captivating. Lincoln, with his calm demeanor hiding a storm of passion, and Cole, the dark, twisted soul, each bring their own unique flavor to the mix. Their devotion to Lucille is intense, their mantra “Don’t Touch her” a proof to their fierce protection.
The addition of Max and Katrina to the narrative adds layers, making the story not just about a love triangle but enriching the interconnected lives. Their presence brings a fresh dynamic that leaves readers wanting more.
This book is pure emotions. Even though there were a few times, I felt Lucille somewhat disconnected and resigned to Cole's fate in the beginning. One moment you’re swooning over the sizzling chemistry, the next you are on the edge of your seat as the plot throws another twist your way. It is about making you feel every high and every low along with the characters.
“A Game of Survival” is a blend of romance, suspense, and raw emotion. It’s a novel that’ll leave you yearning for more. If you’re looking for a story that’s packed with action, heart, and a good dose of steamy passion, this is the book for you. I'm curious to see what surprises they have in store for us. Hopefully, Max and Katrina will be next!
