Gwynne Hart is quickly cementing herself on my “one-click” list. I’ve been graced with being an arc reader for her last two releases and I’m absolutely obsessed with the worlds she creates. Killian and Emily’s story is packed with heat and heart and I could not get enough. Not to mention the cuteness of little Keegan? This book was everything. From the banter, to the steam, to the healing of both lead characters, this book was perfection.

Amazingly written, this story will grip your heart, as it deals with sensitive issues as in; grief, greed, selfish behaviours, overwhelming manipulations. The main characters are strong and powerful , Emily and Killian clearly demonstrate their strengths when they agree to form a false relationship in order to secure a business endeavour. However, the outcome is not what they expected. Killian is a widower with a seven year old son Keagan and a very successful billionaire that will stop at nothing to secure more billions as Emily is searching for love, commitment and happiness and she’ll stop at nothing in obtaining it. There’s an explosive chemistry between them as they’ve known each other their whole lives..Killian is Emily’s brother Thomas’s best friend from childhood..and Emily has crushed on him ever since she was fifteen, therefore making her acting skills easier for her. The storyline is captivating and the secondary characters are powerfully manipulative and you just want to devour this book! A very recommended reading for romance lovers with deceitful minds 😉! I’m rating it a five stars ⭐️ and more!!

This is my first read by this author, and I must say that I quite enjoyed the storyline and the characters. It is an age gap, off limits romance between Killian and his best friend's sister, Emily. These two flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an interesting read. What starts out as a fake relationship turns into something more. It is a love story with drama and steam, sexual tension and chemistry, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters to keep the reader interested. Entertaining.

Emily’s family decides to cut her off when she breaks off her engagement to a wealthy man. Her brother feeling bad for her gets an interview with an old friend as his assistant. However, when she gets to the interview there’s a mix up and Killian believes she’s there to interview as a nanny for his son. Emily is disappointed that Killian doesn’t recognize her from their teen years of hanging out in her backyard pool. But, she is able to secure a job with a great salary although she hasn’t taken care of children since she was a teenager. As they begin to work together she is soon upgraded to fake fiancé. Will this fake assignment turn into a real happy ever after?

March 10, 2024Someone please advise this author that she needs a few good proofreaders. Her stories are cute but her writing is all over the place. Characters say one thing then say something else. The heroine was so wishy washy. The mother was all over the place. And all in one conversation at that. The author has potential but needs help to hone her ability.

This storyline is filled with lots of secrets, hope, sadness and family drama that will have your heart aching and smiling. I loved everything about this book and was really glad to see that Emily and Killian finally found true love and they had a HEA. This was a perfect ending to a perfect book.

Nice love story
The love story between Emily and Killian starts fake but becomes real. Emily accepts too much nonsense from her former fiance and her mother, not standing up for herself. All eventually ends well, although there are more bumps along the way than should be tolerated.

Such a great page turner! The MMC and FMC were very well written! The MMC was a very hard man at first but ended up going soft as to where the FMC was sweet through and through!
