An iron-clad confession. A closed case. But the wrong man is in prison.
Elliot Marks is convinced the real killer of a missing CSIS agent is still at large and will kill again if he isn't stopped. The amateur sleuthing of the St. Ives Book Club comes full circle in the Abercrombie library at will be their final meeting. As he did in the beginning, Elliot suggests they forgo reading about murder and prevent one instead.
But when the deductive genius of Marks leads him to brand a harmless and respected member of St. Ives society a serial killer, Avery Holmes and the book club wonder if they made a mistake.
Elliot will not be talked out of testing his theory to the limit. Time is running out. He knows he must act swiftly to prevent another murder before the final chapter.

What a Fitting Finale! This may be the final chapter, but it was not the most boring, by any means! It went round and round, and the chatter about who could be killing people under the so-called suicides, by the same manner and same drug? Then there is the saddness of some leaving the book club, so there will not be a book club of St. Ives next year... or will there? I loved how there is typical sleuthing going on, some policing (kind of lacking), and then the one smart one that put it all together, and waited, and waited... some people have so many patients!! And some of us don't. Thank you, Nadine Doolittle for a Wonderful ending to a great Book Club! I received a complimentary copy of this story, and this is my honest review.
I have just finished #10 and am sad to see the series end. First time I can say with all honesty .... I knew who the killer was !!!! Thank you, Nadine, for helping through hard times over the past 4 years while you also dealt with stuff of your own. I will wait patiently until 2025 for more of your books.
I was an ARC reader and this is my honest opinion. Reading this book was bitter sweet knowing it was the last book in the series. This book tied up the question of who Snow Cone is and wrapped up the series very well. I will miss the characters and St. Ives.
