She’s already run from one disastrous relationship.
Could a Romeo Down Under be just what she needs?

After fleeing London to mend her broken heart, Hannah May is ready to take up a new PA position at Grant Construction’s head office in Sydney. She has a two-year working visa, which is easily enough time to move on from her cheating boyfriend back home. But while attending a company event at the chairman’s Australian ranch, Hannah is charmed by a gorgeous cowboy.

Except he’s no ranch hand.

He is Daniel Grant. Executive Director at Grant Construction and effectively Hannah’s boss.
He’s also one of Australia’s most eligible bachelors although he’s completely focused on one woman only.
Hannah.

There’s no doubt their chemistry is off the charts, but Hannah is cautious after she learns Daniel has a messy past that continually comes back to haunt him.
When tragedy strikes, Hannah not only needs to deal with the grief and devastation it leaves behind, but also the guilt she could face if she left her family and made Australia her permanent home.

Will she choose the man she is falling in love with, or her family when they need her most?

Books, travel and music are my biggest passions. Now I get to combine all three while creating contemporary stories with down to earth, real characters. From gorgeous CEOs, hot doctors or sexy rock stars, my characters are set within countries and cities I love although occasionally, the location is a combination of several.

I've enjoyed this debut novel and I hope to read more stories written by this author in the future.

The author delivered a very good story, hot, emotional and suspenseful, that keeps the readers on their toes throughout the book.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that the story takes place in Australia, precisely in Sydney.I really like to discover new places while reading.

Hannah and Daniel's journey is not too easy due to their own past histories that have left our heroine having trust issues and our hero with some nasty secrets and a pretty long line of one night stand, but their chemistry is undeniable since their first encounter.
I'm so glad I got to witness their growth as persons and as a couple page after page.

"Where She Is" by new author LM Cappello is the story of Hannah May's journey of discovery. She discovers places and people and discovers so much about herself. Hannah is an amazing heroine. Her biggest fault was that she was always too eager and ready to think the best of people.
When Hannah finds her boyfriend is cheating on her, she decides to accept an offer of a job that will take her to Australia where she meets Daniel Grant. The attraction between them is strong and immediate, but Hannah is definitely not ready to fully trust in a new relationship.

“But you’re so different from any other woman that’s been in my life. I dream you, I breathe you and for the first time in my life…I’m in love with you. You belong to me which is why it’s my turn to fight for you and I’ll carry on fighting until I make you realise.”

I loved the sort of mystery to this book. As the reader I was pulled right into the story and given little hints that let me know there was so much more yet to be revealed as I read. Hannah and Daniel both have hurdles from their pasts that have to be overcome before they can truly seek their happily ever after.

"it’s not always the things and places around you that count. It’s the people, those that make you tick. You make me tick, help me breathe and fill my world every day with a life worth living and an ocean of love. I can’t function without you. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You’re it for me, Hannah. You’re it."

I fell in love with the blurb for this book and the stunning cover and was over the moon to get an early ARC copy.

Where She Is is a story that transports you to another continent. The descriptions are so vivid, I yearn to visit Australia again.

From the first page, the story grabs you and your heart hurts for Hannah. You want her to change her life and see that she is worthy of more than what she is settling for.
Does she succeed? I urge you to take a chance on this debut novel and find out.

One of the things I love about reading, is discovering new authors. Sometimes their work isn’t the best I’ve read, and other times debut authors blow me away. Where She Is is the debut book by Loriana Cappello and I love it. Yes, it has some clichés, but her author voice is amazing.
“Tell me you don’t feel something.” “Yes. I do.” He has no idea how much. He whispers. “Can you feel it now?” I nod and take in the feel of his thumb brushing over my hand. For a moment, we are the only people in the room.”

Hannah isn’t very lucky in love, she always seems to pick ‘mister wrong’. When her relationship with her current boyfriend ends in disaster, she accepts the job offer from her employer and moves to Australia. Starting over in Australia is not just a job opportunity, Hannah also sees it as a chance to reassess her love life, to stop making the same mistakes over and over again.
Meeting Daniel isn’t part of the plan. Well, he is one of the directors of the company she works for, so meeting him comes with the job. But falling for him? Hannah can’t stop her feelings for the man.
“Am I forgiven?” I pull away slightly. “Forgiven for what?” “For taking what I wanted without asking.” “I don’t know what you mean?” “I told you I wanted to kiss you today. I just took what I wanted”.

Where She Is is Loriana Cappello’s first book, and I’m very pleasantly surprised. I love how she writes her characters and surroundings. The story is mostly written from Hannah’s POV, and through her eyes we see everything happen. Daniel’s thoughts are small snippets throughout the book, and give an inside into his POV on key-moments.

As already said, Where She Is has quite a few of clichés, but for once I’m not bothered with it. All though they come with a bit of drama, it doesn’t take away from Hannah and Daniel’s story. Hannah is a young woman who’s open about her past, but it takes some time for Daniel to open up about his life. And I understand him. He’s a new man now with a different mindset, he doesn’t want Hannah to know about the sordid life he led. I love Hannah and Daniel together, they’re a sweet couple who belong together.
Besides a great leading couple, Where She Is has the perfectly disturbed female villain in the form of Freya. I can’t wait for her story which will be told in Secrets, I want to know what drives her.
“You make me tick, help me breathe and fill my world every day with a life worth living and an ocean of love. I can’t function without you. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You’re it for me, Han. You’re it.”

I love Where She Is, I give the story of Hannah and Daniel 4.5 stars.

This is LM Cappello's debut novel and I was fortunate enough to read a working copy.

Being an Aussie I was keen to read this book as soon as I read the synopsis. I was curious to see where the story would be set and if the author was going to be true to the Australian language.

I was happy when I found out it was set in my home town of Sydney and that the author certainly did her research because the language was authentic as were the of descriptions Seaforth and The Blue Mountains area.

The storyline is unique not only because of the setting but because of the circumstances and experiences that shaped Hannah and Daniel into the people they were when their paths crossed.

Daniel was a businessman from a well to do and influential family and a part time farmer on the side. The Northern Beaches boy mixed with a bit of country was irresistible and his English rose, Hannah was just a perfect fit.

Their relationship develops quickly but not without a few twist and turns and shocking revelations along the way.

Daniel was undoubted on his feelings for Hannah from the very beginning and he showed her exactly what she meant to him with his actions and reassurances . Despite this, Hannah was still unsure and overly cautious about committing to this relationship for a very long time.

Which leads me to Freya - the villain of the story who was worthy of being dumped in a barrel full of battery acid. She had no redeeming qualities and I loved to hate her. Her actions drive a lot of what happens in this story and I felt her punishment in no way fit her crimes.

Freya's husband and Daniel's older brother, Joe was the complete opposite. I loved this secondary character and despite not knowing too much about him I felt deeply saddened on how his life with Freya had turned out. I was fully invested in Joe's character and felt that he was the one whose entire life was ruined as a result of his wife actions whilst his family stood by and let it happen and continue to let it happen

Whilst I may not have been completely on board with how things played out with Joe they drew such an emotional response out of me and for that Ms Capello I commend you because this is a secondary character that I felt so strongly towards.

Congratulations on your debut novel Ms Cappello and thank you a very much for the privilege of reading your book. I look forward to reading more of your work.

Where She Is is truly a love at first sight story. Daniel and Hannah know, from their first meeting, that what is between them is something big. Hannah, having recently moved to Australia from London with a broken heart is apprehensive to start another relationship but Daniel manages to woo her like only a book boyfriend can.

Hannah and Daniel’s love story is filled to the brim with factors working against them. L. M. Cappello has woven into their story a number of different plot points that add depth and courage to their love. Together they over come so much, both personally and as a couple.

What I struggled with, however, is that the story felt rushed. It was hard for me from the beginning as someone who doesn’t like ‘Insta-love’ and also because there were so many elements to the story that I feel could have been explored further to really add depth. As someone who loves to read about people over coming their personal struggles, I would really have liked to see more of that and there certainly was scope for that to happen.

One element that I really enjoyed were the secondary characters. The characters have been beautifully woven into the story and a community has been created around Hannah and Daniel and I really enjoyed learning about the people in their lives.

For the most part I enjoyed Where She Is; it was fast paced with some complex characters that really added to Daniel and Hannah’s story. I do wish that these complexities had been explored a bit more as I personally feel that this would have really taken the story to the next level.

I really enjoyed this beautiful debut and look forward to reading more by this author.

Hannah leaves everything behind to make a new start across the other side of the world after the ultimate betrayal by her boyfriend, there she meets Daniel, and the spark is immediate but both have histories. Sometimes Daniel's behaviour is a bit too childish for my liking, he is overly possessive and moody, and in the same respect Hannah can be too forgiving, but that's just my opinion.

The secondary characters provide another layer of interest, I am particularly drawn to Daniel's brother Joe, there is something about him, unfortunately his wife Freya is a real piece of work!!!

As well as the romance and some emotional sections that took me by surprise and left me weeping, there are some gorgeous descriptions of the places they visit. Really vivid and beautiful descriptions.

I cannot wait to see how this author develops

A great debut novel by Loriana here - its been sat on my TBR list for a while before I got round to reading it - why did I wait so long???

Hannah packs up her life and moves across the globe to Australia after finding her boyfriend cheating on her, throwing herself into her work to overcome her hurt. The last thing she's looking for is another relationship.

Daniel Grant is the boss's son and has had a lot to deal with in his past life, working part time on his dad's ranch he literally bumps into Hannah there, and the attraction is instantaneous. Daniel is a force to be reckoned with when he wants something, that something being Hannah, and sets about winning her over.

But Hannah is still very hurt from her previous boyfriend and has bad trust issues, so things are tough with problems turning up along the way.

A great read, hot, sexy, emotional with added suspense and drama. It was wonderful watching Daniel and Hannah fall for each other, overcoming whatever was thrown their way, but not easily! There are lots of twists and turns in the plot, with some unexpected happenings that threw me for a loop. Quite an emotional read at times with some of the things going on in here as well.

I loved the setting of Australia, so very vivid in the story, it brought the words to life on the pages. Some great side characters in here as well - Freya really did get right on my nerves, seriously that woman!! And poor Joe, what he has had to put up with - I can't wait to read more of these two and their story!! The love and support from both sides of Daniels and Hannah's family and friends really shone through in this also.

A great first book by this author, looking forward to more of the same!

This story portrays how hard relationships can be, but also how great they are when both parties work together. Hannah doesn't trust herself when it comes to her choices with men. Daniel has a rough past that haunts him all the time.

Hannah has to find strength for forgive the past and hold on for the future. Old friends step in to try and tear them apart. Will they be strong enough to withstand the onslaught of post wrongs.

I truly enjoyed these characters and how hard they work together no matter what happens. I like that this portrays how messy life can be and to not judge someone for their past mistakes.

I would read this book again and will share with friends.
I want Jack's story and one for Joe would be good too.

This is the first book I've read by Loriana Cappello and I look forward to reading more in this series.

The characters where quickly developed and their "secrets" were laid out at such a pace that it kept me interested in continuing to follow their journey. I appreciated how the main characters' relationship grew and built based on their current needs and desires.

At times, it felt a little like a telanovela with all the drama back and forth. In the end this novel had a good balance of angst and romance and strength.

My favorite quote is: "It's not always the things and places around you that count. It's the people. Those that make you tick"

Hannah and Daniel's way to love has a lot of perks, but you wish their story never ends. It is set in beautiful Australia and looking forward to this author's next book to be discover!

Hannah May has a new job opportunity in a different country, but was kind of torn as she has a boyfriend that she's been serious with. But when she catches him cheating, all of a sudden the decision is super easy, and off to Australia she goes for new adventures. And she's bound & determined not to fall in love quickly again, however she never saw Daniel coming. Daniel Grant has many demons from his past plaguing him, with losing his wife tragically being one of the biggest ones. And since then, he's become the tabloids biggest lures, so now he tries to fly under the radar. With all of the mistakes that he's made, he's learned that the next woman he lets close to him will be the right one, and he never saw Hannah coming. Little does she know that he's determined to make her his. Where She Is was a story that instantly hijacked my attention, which made it easier to read it in one sitting, which I did. I really enjoyed Loriana Cappello's talented writing style, especially since she's just starting out. Hannah & Daniel were great heroine/hero on their own, but together they were magically delicious with their hotness. And the cast of entertaining secondaries made for some perfectly placed humor to take the sting off of some of the angst, while some of the twists made for a song of colorful metaphors. What kept this story a perfect read for me, and this is MY OPINION, was the push & pull got very frustrating because it got old after so long. Other than that, it was a great read that I enjoyed! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Hannah May seems to have a habit of falling too quickly when it comes to relationships. She is living with her current boyfriend Rob and he has just proposed to her. She hasn’t given him an answer but plans on doing so when she returns home from work. But what she discovers when she walks in surprises her. This breakdown of her relationship with Rob is life changing as she is now leaving her home in London for a job transfer to Australia. She is leaving her family to start a new on the other side of the world. This fresh start is to be about her and her job and she promises herself she will not fall too quickly again. That is until she meets the chairman’s son of the company she is working for.
Daniel Grant is the Executive Director of one of Australia’s biggest construction company. He lives a very secluded life after the death of his wife and the gossip columns not wanting to leave him alone. He has made many mistakes and still is fighting demons from his past. When he meets Hannah his life is no longer the same.
This is the debut novel by this author and she did a wonderful job. I was not able to put the book down. The way she wrote left us wondering about Daniel’s past, adding great mystery to the story. Just when you think you know what's going to happen, she surprises you with something different. You think you learned all of the secrets then another one pops up leaving you unable to walk away from this book. I really enjoyed all the unexpected surprises. There was one that did leave me in tears. I could totally feel the emotions that Hannah was experiencing. The story is told mainly in her point of view. We have a few small paragraphs in Daniel’s point of view. I would have loved to have read more from his POV but it did add to that mystery. The interaction of Hannah’s family and friends as well as Daniel’s family was great. I am hoping that Joe will have his own story as there is so much more I’d love to know about him. I will be reading more from this new author and highly recommend her.

I was given an ARC for an honest review. I hope you see how much I enjoyed this book through my words.

Hannah was a heroine living a bleak life, with opportunities to seek a different ending (or middle) , and she embraced that. Moving away was the right decision at the time, which brought her to where she started to grow as a person. At the beginning of this journey you meet the allusive Daniel. I wasn't sure if you can truly trust him, or if he was just that good. I love books where you can visualize people growing and maturing... this book definitely did that for both characters. You eventually find that Daniel is just a wonderful guy who you take into your heart.

There are so many secrets in this book that just get displayed in random fashion, but it made the story and their characters what and who they were. Keeping secrets can be devastating to a relationship, and this one certainly had its fair share of tests, but isn't that what makes people who they are? Determining how you deal with those issues can make or break you at any time. Daniel and Hannah had to figure out how to deal with that info together, in order to make their relationship work, or ultimately break it in the end.

The family turmoil in this book was over the top. Good grief...the evil sister-in-law was horrendous. I'm not sure how anyone could deal with that, yet they had to for family-sake. This family was loving and giving and so supportive of Hannah and Daniels relationship, which was heartwarming to see. It's the love of this family that made this book so great for me.

I didn't understand the title of the book until I started reading and definitely at the end it made more sense. It was a true testament to the real story and is perfect for this book. I hope that you read this book and love it as much as I did. It is definitely worth it.

This is a contemporary romance. This is for adults only due to the sexual content. I really appreciated the vivid descriptions of the landscapes. I really loved the strength and determination of Hannah but she really aggravates me with some of her ways. Daniel is a good man, he is trying. He does have a past but it needs to be left there... in the past. AND I would not care about family secrets Freya would be in jail or worse. Some of this book is drawn out but it is a great read, I really enjoyed it.

Hannah May is moving across the country, which is life changing. Yes... just what she needs. Broken hearted she packs her things and is determined that this move will be about her and nothing else. Hannah wards off men but little to her knowledge Australia just may have more to offer her than she realizes. Will Hannah ever be able to overcome her anxiety with relationships? Or will she be running back and forth to escape her feelings?

favorite passages:
"The haze of my tears hypnotizes me."
"My smile is as warm as the rays bathing my freckled face."
"He is my forbidden fruit and I cant wait to take a bite."
"I feel his teeth graze my earlobe as he whispers, "By the time I've caressed you all over, kissed every inch of you, felt every part of you, your body will beg me to relieve the ache you feel inside. The ache reserved only for me."
"I don't think you have anything to worry about in the big boy department."
"I am away with fairies and getting ahead of myself when I'm quickly brought back to the here and now."
"As one very famous heroine said tomorrow in another day."
"Deep blue water stretches out as far as the eye can see. It's kissed by the sun and a cloudless sky."
"Goodnight, my darling. Sweet dreams." And with those word, he crumbles."<3

This is the authors debut novel and I for one, absolutely loved it. It is Hannah May's story about discovering herself. She is rather disillusioned with her life and some horrible things that happen back at home make her decision for her and she heads off to Australia to start a new job and life there.

It is such a well written book that you can actually feel it being played out and I felt like I was there with the characters throughout the entire book. I love the fact that it was set in Australia which made it a bit different. The characters are well thought out and realistic.

When I read that it was a contemporary romance I thought oh it's going to be a bit fluffy and light hearted. Boy was I wrong! There are loads of twists and turns in this book to keep you guessing the whole way through. I think I felt every emotion possible while reading this book.

I for one wholeheartedly recommend that everyone reads this fantastic debut novel and I will be in the queue for the next novel out ASAP!

This debut novel by L.M. Cappello is a beautiful contemporary romance. The title says it all. Where is she is referring to Hannah. Her life has been shook upside down & turned around. How does she cope?... Where is she? Moving to Australia. The story takes the reader through her thoughts and decisions. Decisions which lead her right to Daniel.

I think Hannah made this story for me. Her character's strength gave the story depth. I loved that she is a reflection of a modern independent woman. Daniel could be her weakness. I'm not sure he measured up to Hannah in my opinion. She seemed to be a bit too good for him. Actually, I kind of liked that. I liked that he had flaws...flaws that could ruin the budding romance of these two.

“Love is stronger than you think, Han. It can get you through almost anything, even the unexpected.”

Can it get them through? You will have to read to find out. Thank you, L.M. Cappello, for a beautiful read. I recommend this to all of you contemporary romance fans.

Daniel Grant and Hannah May are the couple to read next. Your heart will never be fixed up as quickly as it was with other books. You think that this character and that character have the ultimate love story? No. These characters do.

Never have two broken people create the epic love story that you are about to read.

Where She Is will tug your heart strings until you can no longer bear it. L.M. Cappello is definitely an author to watch out for as an indie author because this book can really steal your heart even if you are careful. I personally did fall in love with this story because Hannah May works on fixing herself because she has realized she needed to go out and realize who she was. And where she was, played a huge part in that.

With a 4.6 out of 5 stars, I definitely recommend those who are looking for that epic romance to read this book.

Blog you later, awesome book nerds.

As a debut novel, this is a pleasant surprise. From the very first page, the reader is drawn into the story. With well crafted characters and beautifully described locations, there is a lot to like about this book.

Where the book just misses the mark slightly for me is the interaction between Hannah and Daniel. I didn't really feel that instant connection and chemistry between them, and their reactions and secret keeping just seemed a little too much, too extreme for the stage that their relationship was at.

That said, it was a reasonable, light romance read.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Fabulous debut!
The story starts in the UK, but quickly transfers you to Australia, where Hannah has gone for a fresh start and a bit of adventure, while she works for her old boss from the UK. She meets Daniel Grant, a man with his own issues, and a string of ex's.
The story feels very 'real' and the characters had depth and personality. The locations well described and easy to picture. Hannah and Daniel had great chemistry. I was left in tears at a couple of points too!
A lovely book that transports you to the warmth and sunshine of Australia, while a beautiful love story unfolds!
The author doesn't hint at what's next, but it would be good to see some of the other characters get a book?

Hannah May goes on a journey to find herself. She starts off at home, then she goes to Sydney. She finds a new guy. Daniel Grant is the owner's son of the company. He's got baggage and wants Hannah for his own. She's not to sure if she's ready.

I absolutely loved this book by a new author L.M. Cappella.

I liked this story but I didn't love it. The h contradicted herself often. Not to mention the way she was immediately angry for the most ridiculous things. There is one example where Daniel admits a woman was stalking him and his family when he didn't want more then a one night stand so he did something humiliating to the ow to get her to see. She was so mad at Daniel for his actions but not mad at the ow for stalking and harassing the man? She even had the nerve to compare it to walking in and finding her ex cheating on her. She compared a man who was abused by stalking and harassment and fought back, to her cheating scum of an ex? like wtf, Nah sorry his reaction was brilliant in my mind and I applauded it. If a man was stalking and harassing both me and my family then the whole world would have him destroyed, because we don't allow men to treat women like that. well sorry but news flash it's not okay for women to do it either.

Also the Freya situation is a huge red flag to me. Like she clearly needs mental help and she seems trapped by a controlling husband and her reactions while completely unhealthy and inappropriate I'm confused as to why she isn't in a facility or being seen by a professional. They act like she is just annoying but her actions are of a person not in control of her faculties. Her outbursts are not that of someone I would want going to public events and it's wild that they act like it's okay for her to do so.

There are many other things I question in this book but I still read it cover to cover so I definitely still enjoyed the authors work. I just wish she could have fleshed out some situations. It's wild how little information the h was okay with receiving about absolutely wild and crazy situations like they occurred in every day life. It took far too long to get the whole story and even after that I was still like "Is no one gonna say how absolutely awful this is" The anger and rage was never aimed in the right direction.

Gonna read the next book and hope it has more answers and hopefully more empathetic and humane characters.

Where she is is very enjoyable this would be my first story I read by Loriana Cappello and It wont be my last can't wait to see more from these characters . One thing you should know about me is that I love accents so when the author has a note in the blurb UK English I'm so game plus on top of that the hero has a sexy Australian accent yup and now I'm drooling . The story flows really well and the relationship between the hero and heroine is set at the right speed it's not rushed or slow it's perfect . Hannah and Daniel have a instant attraction from when they first laid eyes on one another ,the sex scenes are steamy yet tasteful at the same time . After Hannah has her heart broken in one of the worst ways she decides to leave everything behind for a job that takes her to Australia and there she meets a man and his family that are just amazing , she grows a lot as the story progress while also being very likable the only thing I wish a little different is she would have a back bone a little faster . Daniel is very swoon worthy and romantic really liked him but I wish he would have told the heroine certain things before those things came from a conniving evil person who twisted the truth and made a situation worse and trust to be strained . Over all this was a good read with awesome secondary characters and some not so awesome , the next book Secrets will be about a characters that I loathed but it's always interesting the read a story about redemption .

Where She Is, the debut novel by Loriana Cappello is the story of Hannah who, after finding her boyfriend in bed with another woman, flees London for Australia and a new, fresh start. There she meets Daniel, son of the owner of the company that she works for. Daniel has had a rough time of life and is hiding out on his family's farm trying to get a handle on his world. When the two meet, they are plunged into a love neither was looking for and a rocky path they are not expecting.

Ms. Cappello's characters are well thought out and fairly complex. Hannah, once badly burned is cautious and hesitant to jump in with both feet. She is a woman who wants the grand love but is not about to end up where she started. Daniel, not your typical alpha-male character, comes with a whole host of issues and skeletons tumbling out of his closet. His past comes back to haunt him and he struggles to keep it from drowning him.

The story itself is a bit convoluted as there is a lot of different issues and happenings going on. There are psychotic sister-in-laws, delusional ex's, rumors and gossip, and smarmy co-workers. Ms. Cappello takes her characters through a landscape filled with emotional landmines that, at times, is overwhelming. Overall, this is a good read that is emotion heavy but that also shows Ms. Cappello's potential in the romance genre.

Great story! A relationship that begins with a nudge by a horse; a coming-into-her-own, determined heroine; a tall, handsome Australian hero; and a beautiful setting were just a few of the things that made “Where She Is” a book that I couldn’t help but keep reading. Hannah and Daniel’s story is so much more than two people meeting, spending time together and falling in love. They each have things in their pasts that linger and that they need to overcome. Hannah’s make her determined not to let anyone walk all over her ever again, and I loved how she stuck to her guns (even with Daniel.) Daniel’s involve scandals, secrets and lies that impact both of them, their relationship and his family. While they are getting to know each other better, the revelations and conflicts keep coming, making their journey interesting and a pleasure to read. When I got to the point in the story where the meaning of the title comes to light, it brought tears to my eyes. I also enjoyed the British and Australian “speak”, the words and turns of phrase – making the book different than my usual reads. Plus, the beautiful descriptions of places in Australia renewed my interest in traveling there one day! I definitely recommend this book!
