If you like a strong female character who is caught between a very bad guy and a very good guy, like "Hero" by Thomas Perry, you'll enjoy this thriller about a professor who loses herself in her job to escape the trauma of seeing her family shot to death in her kitchen. The only survivor of this tragedy, she comes to grips with a deeper reason for family shootings. You won't expect how the story turns out!
