Ainsley Holloway had come to Gooseberry Bay to find answers about her past. She’d come to find an explanation for the dreams that haunted her after the death of the cop who’d both rescued and raised her. And she’d come to identify the family she couldn’t remember but knew in her heart she’d once belonged to.

Ainsley hoped that by finding these answers, she’d also find healing. She hoped that once she’d resurrected the memories buried deep in her mind, she’d find peace.

In book 15 in the series, the 'first family' of Gooseberry Bay is having a wedding and everyone who is anyone has turned out. Preparations for the big event have been going on for months, and in spite of the blood, sweat, and tears, experienced by almost every merchant in town, it appears that everything will go off without of hitch, until 'bridezilla' turns up dead.

Meanwhile, Adam and Ainsley are exploring their new relationship status, Bexley is settling in with Remi's help, Tegan decides to move on, and Avery has a surprise announcement.

Kathi lives with her husband, kids, grandkids, and dogs in beautiful Lake Tahoe. When she isn't writing, Kathi likes to read (preferably at the beach or by the fire), cook (preferably something with chocolate or cheese,) and garden (planting and planning not weeding). She also enjoys spending time on the water when she's not hiking, biking, or snowshoeing, the miles of desolate trails surrounding her home.
Kathi uses the mountain setting in which she lives, along with the animals (wild and domestic) that share her home, as inspiration for her cozy mysteries.

In the latest cosy mystery from Gooseberry Bay, Ainsley and her friends are having fun and solving a murder. Ainsley is a Private Investigator, who moved the Bay a few years previously after her stepfather died, and she was on the hunt for her family. intending to stay only a few months until the next clue sent her elsewhere, she ended up in Gooseberry Bay with some answers and a whole lot more besides.

Gooseberry Bay is a cosy mystery series written by Kathi Daley, a prolific cosy mystery writer; this series is an spin off from The Inn at Holiday Bay Each series of hers is a good read, and I've read quite a few of them. Totally addictive in my opinion, and I have to read the books as they are released.

In this book, a rich family descends on Gooseberry Bay for a wedding, but when a tradegy occurs, it turns into a murder investigation. Also, Remi, one of Ainsley's friends, needs her to find out something about a man visiting her town for the weekend.

All the books are standalone stories but they are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and wider storyline.

If you like cosy mystery, I highly recommend this series and writer.

'Til Death is book fifteen in the Cottage on Gooseberry Bay series by Kathi Daley. Ainsley Holloway and her boyfriend are exploring new relationships and saying goodbye to old friends. The community hosted the wedding of one of the first families of Gooseberry Bay when the bride-to-be was murdered. Ainsley and her friends started to investigate to find answers. The readers of 'Til Death will continue to follow Ainsley Holloway to discover what happens.

'Til Death is a fantastic, cozy mystery and an enjoyable addition to Kathi Daley's excellent series, with the story and the characters from the first page and continuing to the end. I love Kathi Daley's portrayal of the characters and their interaction with each other throughout this book. 'Til Death is not just well-written but also meticulously researched, which will make the readers feel informed and educated. I like Kathi Daley's description of the settings of 'Til Death, which complements the book's plot.

I recommend this book.

This had a good storyline but a lot of it was repetitious and not as in detail as to the characters lives as the previous book. The prologue was the best part.

‘Til Death is the fifteenth book in Kathi Daley’s Cottage on Gooseberry Bay series. Whenever I pick up one of Ms. Daley’s books, I know I’m in for a treat, and I’ve never been disappointed. This is an entertaining and clean series with a strong emphasis on family, friends, community, and caring. The setting is charming, and the three-dimensional characters are well-developed. The complex and intriguing mystery, twists, and red herrings will keep readers engaged and guessing. Ms. Daley’s descriptive writing draws the reader in, making them feel like they’re taking part in the action. The reveal took me by surprise. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading well-crafted, cozy mysteries.

After Ainsley Holloway’s adoptive father passed away, she found a photograph of a woman with two young children. For reasons Ainsley couldn’t explain, she felt connected to the people in the photograph and started doubting her past. In her search for the truth about her past, Ainsley and her two Bernese Mountain Dogs, Kai and Kallie, moved from Georgia to Washington State and rented a cozy cottage in Gooseberry Bay. Ainsley, who originally planned to stay for only a month or two, quickly made friends, settled into the community, and opened Ainsley Holloway Investigations.

In this installment, Harrison Davenport is hosting the wedding of his niece, Gizelle Davenport, and movie star, Broderick Spencer, on his private island. The bride-to-be disappears during her pre-wedding party at a local steakhouse. Harrison dispatches his security team to locate his niece, and they find her body under the dock near the boathouse on the other side of the marina from the steakhouse. After authorities ruled the death accidental, Davenport’s sister, Sasha, disagrees and approaches a local newspaper reporter, Parker Peterson, to prove her sister was murdered. Parker enlists Ainsley and their friend, Jemma Hawthorn, to help her investigate. Since her arrival in Gooseberry Bay, Gizelle made more enemies than friends, which was apparently her modus operandi, so it’s no wonder the list of potential suspects is relatively long. Meanwhile, Ainsley’s sister, Avery, shares exciting news; Tegan decides to sell the Rambling Rose and leave Gooseberry Bay; Josie makes a big announcement; and Ainsley and Adam have moved their relationship from friends to dating.

Ainsley Holloway has settled down in Gooseberry Bay after coming to the area in search of answers to her past. In addition to those answers, she found a family of friends. In this book, the niece of a prominent resident is getting married and it's brought a lot of people, especially paparazzi, to the area. But when the bride is found dead, answers are not easy to come by. In the meantime, Ainsley and Adam have started dating while changes are coming to the peninsula.

I've really enjoyed this series by Kathi Daley and this book is a prime example of why. It's a series about new beginnings and finding family amongst friendships. This well-written book was a quick, heartwarming read that had me hooked from beginning to end. The mystery had lots of twists and turns which will keep you guessing and on your toes. I loved this book and am really looking forward to the next one. It's a fantastic book and series which I highly recommend.

This book was entertaining. I enjoyed reading it because I could catch up with many of the primary characters. I like many of this author's books but the recent books seem to be all talk but little action. The characters discuss the mystery (usually a murder) and conjecture about the details. They do some research and then the mystery is solved. Meh!

Kathi Daley is a cozy mystery writer that has a series for everyone! The Cottage on Gooseberry Bay's main character, Ainsley, was first introduced in the main series The Inn at Holiday Bay.

Ainsley is a PI who enjoys her dogs, friends, and where she lives. Ainsley has built a reputation on seeking justice for those that want her assistance. In 'Til Death, Gooseberry Bay is overrun with visitors as a high profile wedding is taking place. There is a death in the wedding party which has been picked up by the media and needs to be solved quickly. Ainsley is not completely agreeing with the local authorities about what happened and when a family member asks Ainsley to help get to the truth, Ainsley and friends dive in.

Gooseberry Bay is a story with relatable characters and friendships.

Character Name Change???

I really do enjoy Kathy Daley's books. I'd say they are usually 4 stars, in my opinion. This one, however, was so distracting with the name change from Chelsea to Celeste for no apparent reason. At the beginning of the book, the character is Chelsea, but by the end, she's referred to as Celeste. It was so distracting that, for me, it took away from the book. I've noticed one or two grammatical errors in other books, but those are easily forgotten. This mistake just irked me. I'm not an author or an English major, but I do think unforced errors take away from the author's hard work.

Enjoy the series

The bridezilla, the niece of a Gooseberry Bay native and engaged to a movie star, ends up drowned in the bay. Ainsley and her friends look into it to try to determine if it was an accidental death or murder. Ainsley also helps Remi by trying to get proof that a guy suing Remi for an injury is faking it. I have a problem in that Ainsley and her friends break into a hotel room and steal a coat, which ends up being the reason the killer is caught. This would never have been allowed as evidence, hence my 3 star rating.

'Til Death

As usual, there's two separate mysteries running simultaneously. It was a simple, quick read. I have to admit I skipped through some of the conversations. Frankly, I don’t believe the evidence against the killer would be admissible in court by the way it was obtained.

A celebrity wedding in Gooseberry Bay brings chaos to the small community. Then the bride dies under mysterious circumstances and the bride's sister hires Ainsley to solve the mystery. I enjoy the way all of these characters work together to solve the mysteries. Friends that are family, mystery with a few deft twists and turns and a satisfying conclusion made this a great afternoon read for me.

A likable main character with a great backstory so read the series in order. The mystery is fun and twisted and the conclusion isn't an easy guess. I do have a hard time when so many names start with the same letter or are too similar. It gets confusing. I find some of the writing a bit stiff but enjoy the characters, setting, and pets enough to skip the filler or push through.

A bride to be dies. Ainsley helps Remi.

Deputy Todd seeks assistance from Parker, Ainsley and Jemma when Gizzelle is found dead at the warf. Remi seeks Ainsley's assistance when he is being sued for the 4th time. Joseph starts a catering business with some help from Adam. Always enjoy Ms. Daleys books.

Not one of the better ones

I usually find this series a quick and easy read. The mystery makes sense. This book had too many characters and they were hard to keep track of. One of the characters' name changed. The "who done it" did not work.

Things are crazed at Gooseberry Bay while everyone awaits the big celebrity wedding until catastrophe strikes and the wedding is called off. Love watching Ainsley and friends investigating and how they work together to get the missing answets.

A trip and fall? Are you sure?

There’s more questions than answers at Gooseberry Bay, but that won’t stop the girls from getting the right answers. Even with spring bringing several changes their way!

great story

I love reading Kathi Daley soft murder mysteries. Without overwhelming gore, the main character of this series always solves the murder with help of friends and often those involved with the victim.

great read

This series has been one of my favorites. The main character is very easy to like and root for while she is settling in her new life. The adventures she has seem to fit the story. Looking forward to to next book in the series.

Sorry, Kathi, this one is a dud. Too many characters, name change, couldn't follow all of them. Stealing a coat and bang the murder is solved? I love the main characters in your stories, but it's all getting a little tired.

Talk about mysteries!

Many authors do well in organizing a storyline, but Kathy Daley will be a challenge for anyone to compete with her excellent clues that she weaves throughout the book..and then "in your face - did you figure things out before she told you? Enjoy

Till death do them parted early

Well this wedding didn't go as planned. And the party didn't end well for the bride to be. So who did it? Good question. Later we find out. But more interesting things also happen. The very end is different.
