Pat played while I was in school at UF, and was one of the Gator greats on the court. I gave him a ride to the gym one day and was taken aback how someone as physically imposing ah him was so approachable and just a regular guy.
When I heard about his accident, I wondered how an elite athlete, that could do things with his body most can’t comprehend, would handle it. Reading his journey provides a great study of patience and perspective. I liked a lot of the points he made, but the best was in the last passage that encourages you to “outlast the temporary”
I found this from a friend. Her daughter is in sports and Patrick came an spoke to the athletics. I was surprise to learn he was from UF. ☺️ I was glad to hear his journey in this way back to God through his injury.
