I love this author & have read all his books. I’ve recommended him since I read his first one a number of years ago, all were 5 star. While I liked the storyline, it was difficult for me to stay involved because of the errors in syntax & spelling. I only started making notes of the problems about halfway through in my Kindle & had over 18 notations. It was like he let someone else write the book, I was disappointed. I will read his next one when it comes out & hope this was a glitch in his system.
Mr. Matthew's series has been a fascinating read involving unfortunately believable plots stemming from current (and past) geopolitical events exposing clear and present dangers that a nation is faced with because of horrible decisions made based on false , or even no, moral or patriotic principles. His characters are clearly seen as highly skilled specialists who are totally human beings, not robotic "James Bond" clones who never made a mistake. Their interpersonal relationships are refreshingly authentic and appreciated, which contributes to feeding his readers' demands for his sequels. I'm pleased to have the opportunity to recommend Mr. Matthew's offerings to other readers for their reading pleasure.
I enjoyed this series, it has great characters, good technical knowledge and a good plot. The big problem I had with it was the editing. Many mistakes made for glaring stops in the story flow. I'm talking about left out words, inserted extra words, many, many missed or incorrect pronouns.
This series hooked me from the very beginning with it's action packed, suspenseful stories. Each book is unique, intriguing, humorous, and so much more. It's a wonderful thriller series that's a definite must read. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
I lost count of the number of wrong words (were instead of we're; our instead of are etc etc) typos, missing apostrophes.....it was appalling. Not a bad story, though.
