He needs to pull off the perfect Christmas. She needs to take it down. But what happens when natural enemies meet under the mistletoe?
Sassy influencer Noelle revels in poking fun at, well, everything. Her sharp wit has made her an internet sensation with legions of fans. But her ratings are declining, and now she needs to do something big to win them back she needs to take down the self-proclaimed Christmas Town, USA.
Colin is the youngest mayor in Evergreen Creek’s history. The town is the embodiment of Christmas, famed for its festive traditions, tree lighting ceremony, and good cheer. In Colin’s fervor to uphold the town’s traditions, he’s so lost in his work that he’s forgotten what Christmas truly means.
When Colin hears of Noelle’s impending arrival, he’s determined to show the snarky influencer how wonderful Christmas can be. Hot chocolate, Christmas cookies, and a late-night skate around a giant Christmas tree are all in the cards as he tries to win her over.
But Noelle can’t be swayed.
Until they have that moment under the mistletoe.
Laughing All the Way is a sweet Christmas romcom with all the banter, feels, and Christmas magic you crave. Come to Evergreen Creek, where the holiday spirit is always in the air and love is just a laugh away.
Mia Summers is a sucker for love. There's nothing she likes better than snuggling up in a soft fleecy blanket with a hot cup of cocoa and an even sweeter romance to read the night away. Especially if she's reading about Hollywood heartthrobs or hunky hockey players. But after telling her best friend one too many times how she would have written the most recent novel, her friend blurted out, "Well then, why don't you write your own romance novels?" And that is exactly what Mia did.
It had been a long time since I sat down and read a book on my Kindle (and only did it because there was no audiobook), but I will forever be enchanted with my experience reading Laughing All The Way by Mia Summers. It just so happened to be snowing the day I decided to read this, so I decided to throw on some instrumental Christmas music, light a couple of candles, and enjoy this Christmas-themed read in March. That is really the best way to enjoy this book, and if you are a Hallmark movie lover like me, this will be right up your alley. Noelle is full of sass and snark while Colin is an adorably young mayor of the most Christmasy town she has ever seen. The plot is the epitome of a Hallmark Christmas movie and that is most likely part of the reason I loved it so dang much.
This is a closed-door romance so the bit we do get isn't spicy, and that is just the way I like it. I grabbed Laughing All The Way because I loved the synopsis, and I am really disappointed that I haven't really seen it on Bookstagram. Honestly, I don't think I have seen this AUTHOR on there much either, and I want to be the person to change that starting immediately. Summers has 3 other books out right now and they have all been added to my TBR, no audiobooks be damned. I loved her writing, and she kept me laughing all the way through this novel (no pun intended). If you are a reader who loves Hallmark (or Lifetime!), banter, and all things Christmas, I highly recommend this grumpy (Noelle)/sunshine (Colin) delight.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
Laughing All The Way is a Christmas themed, grumpy x sunshine, Grinch inspired romance. The premise reads a lot like Hallmark movie, with a snarky reporter being forced to film in a Christmas obsessed town. Going into this book, I expected it to be cheesy. I think simple stories can still be done quite well, however this book did not do it for me. I was okay with the premise being a little unoriginal and cliche. What mattered to me was the writing style. It also felt a bit overdone and the comedy didn't spark anything for me. Still, this book was cute and a quick read, it just wasn't written in a way that I personally love. Thank you to Sterling & Stone and Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!

Laughing All the Way is a Christmas themed, grumpy x sunshine, Grinch inspired romance story. The story is like a Hallmark movie in the fact where a snarky reporter has been forced to film in a Christmas obsessed town. Noelle, the FMC, is a sassy YouTuber who has her job on the line and has been sent to Evergreen Creek to talk about their Christmas festivities, where we meet the hot mayor, Colin.
Overall, I knew going into this book, it was going to be cliche to say the least and otherwise it was a super cute story! I was just not entirely impressed by the writing style and I was not completely hooked where I just HAD to finish the book. I also had a difficult time keeping up with whose point of view I was reading. I felt like it was a bit rushed and not completely checked on, especially because I noticed some grammatical errors on the main characters names (one time Noelle was written as Nicole and Colin was written as Connor.)
Again, overall cute little Hallmark movie in a book, but the writing style was personally not my cup of tea.
Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.
My final rating is 3.5 stars.
I loved the grumpy x sunshine trope here. the overall feel of the story was cozy and wholesome. I really adored the MMC & his love for his town (and christmas!) There were so many references throughout the book of it feeling like a Hallmark Christmas movie and that's 100% what I felt like I was reading. I did struggle a bit with some of the dialogue but overal I would absolutely recommend this to someone looking for a quick & cozy holiday read!
This book read exactly like a hallmark movie and honestly, I'm here for it. Noelle and Colin's relationship progressed very naturally and their banter was really cute. The plot itself was light yet heartwarming, although there were some parts that felt rushed because of the writing style. This story is a typical holiday romance book but I still enjoyed seeing how the town came together. I did expect a little more development on the romance aspect of Noelle and Colin's relationship though. Their chemistry could have been explored more. There were definitely some cute moments between them but it was pretty surface level. The conflict at the end was a little silly but it wasn't anything I didn't expect. I also think this book could have benefitted with adding another 100 pages or so just to develop the town and characters more. Overall, this was a quick and simple holiday story that I would recommend if you're looking for something light.

Knyga lyg visiškas Hallmark filmas😅 visiškai Kalėdoms pasišventęs mažas miestelis ir visos kiek įmanoma Kalėdinių pramogų🎄 taip pat grumpy(Grinčės) x sunshine santykiai. Ir nuspėjama. Bet aš šiuo laikotarpiu nesikabinėju ir man patiko šita istorija! Patiko, tos Kalėdinės pramogos, patiko, kaip “Grinčei sušildoma širdutė”. Ir juokingų vietų nemažai, kur pakrizenau🤭 tad jeigu jums prie širdies Kalėdiniai filmai - įsimeskit šią knygą, į kitų metų Kalėdinių knygų sąraša🎄
Sometimes Christmas romance rom-com Hallmark-ish stories just hit right. This adorable grinch type story about a grumpy influencer (her) sent to cover a holiday village with a gorgeous, young mayor (him) was just perfect. I thought the banter was cute, the town even cuter. I loved the grandma reindeer song being pulled into a metaphor for family unity. lol It was fun. Light and sweet, I enjoyed it!
A huge thank you to the author and publisher for providing an e-ARC via Netgalley. This does not affect my opinion regarding the book.

Noelle Hamilton is an influencer who has an aversion to Christmas. Her online popularity and rating are declining so she is looking for something to give her a boost and win her fans back. Noelle has made her mark making fun of things, so she plans to do the same to Evergreen Creek - a Christmas town. Colin Bennet is the young, good-looking mayor of Evergreen Creek. He wants to keep the town traditions alive and is not exactly happy to know the influencer will be in his town. Colin plans to make sure Noelle sees just how amazing Christmas can be.
This is a short and cute, enemies-to-lovers holiday rom-com. The setting, Evergreen Creek, seemed super cute. It was fun reading about the people living there. It's not lost on me that someone with the name Noelle doesn't like Christmas. I loved Colin and Noelle's relationship and how things evolved throughout the story. "Laughing All The Way' is a cute, fun, short, hallmark-esque, holiday read.

Is it still acceptable to read a Christmas book after Christmas? I certainly think so.
3⭐- Noelle, an influencer who visits a small town to cover the local Christmas Market. Where she meets Mr. Perfect, who happens to be the mayor. Will the Christmas loving mayor change the way Noelle views Christmas?
This book gave me such "Hallmark Christmas movies" vibes. The story is a cute holiday read, the characters are likeable however the last few chapters felt a little rushed.
Laughing All The Way had a lot of potential, loved the idea that the FMC Noelle makes content with sassy remarks because I'm a very blunt person. I just thought it would be more of a plot point in the story and when she showed up to the small town for the Christmas festival, she was just nice pretty much the whole time. Didn't really make sense. Overall, just a meh holiday story.
Thank you Netgalley and Sterling & Stone for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!
Laughing All The Way brings readers to Evergreen Creek, where "snarky" influencer Noelle is tasked with reporting on the self-proclaimed Christmastown in an attempt to boost her social media ratings and keep her job.
The MMC Colin is the epitome of a hallmark book boyfriend. I loved his commitment to his families legacy and love for his town. It was easy to feel an emotional connection to his story. Evergreen Creek has a number of adorable townspeople, most of whom provide comedic relief that helps to keep this story light. The town is enchanting, and you can't help but feel connected to its charm.
This book is marketed as a Grumpy X Sunshine match-up with banter, & Hallmark vibes. I thought it was an interesting take as we are not often treated to an FMC playing out the grumpy role in this trope. Unfortunately, despite referring to the FMC constantly as a "Grinch," I actually didn't feel that she was portrayed as grumpy or snarky. This behavior was implied when referencing her previous videos, but we didn't get experience this side of her directly aside from the occasional eye roll.
Personally, I was hoping for some more pushback between the FMC and MMC. I think that if the book had been even 50 pages longer, it would have allowed for a more gradual connection to form in order to truly deliver a Grumpy FMC.
While Laughing All The Way may have missed the mark for me in terms of some of the tropes, I still think this story is a great choice for a reader looking for a quick, easy holiday option, with loveable characters.
Thank you to Netgalley and Mia Summers for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I cringed at the premise of this story where influencer “Noelle” Hamilton (Christmas-y name for a rude Grinch) is out to attack and destroy the wonder and love of Christmas. Why? Just because she can and is using it to puff up her deflating internet ratings. (Let me interject a BAH HUMBUG!) And even Colin, the mayor of Evergreen Creek (aka “Christmas Town USA”) who should be vigorously defending the holiday the town is known for, has almost forgotten the meaning of Christmas because he is so busy. I knew the direction the story was allegedly going, but it was still difficult to pick it up and actually read it. I don’t respond well to unprovoked negativity and this is my favorite celebration she thinks she is going to ruin.
When I began to actually read about Noelle, and saw how she insults the people she is torpedoing on her show, she continued to reinforce my opinion, especially when she said that no animals died in the movie which “took some of the fun out of it for her". Ooooo, nice person… NOT. Her insults do not equate to a “sharp wit”. Her opinions do not equate to "truth". But she is ready to attack the town and reveal her twisted version of the truth, as she sees it, with her critical evaluation. And Colin is now armed and ready to change her mind with cookies and hot chocolate… sigh. Will he get her to change her opinion? Or will things continue to go from bad to worse?

Mia, an internet influencer, is a modern day sarcastic Scrooge whose parents divorced and abandoned her across the country leaving her with her beloved grandfather. After he died, her only love and stability was gone, leaving Mia bitter. Mia’s boss gives her an assignment to cover Evergreen Creek, otherwise known as Christmas Town, USA.
Colin, Mayor of Evergreen Creek, loves Christmas, but is working himself into the ground trying to keep his beloved town in the black. The Christmas Festival was his idea five years ago, in order to raise money for the community, and he will do whatever it takes to make it successful. Even if he has to teach Mia, the beautiful grinch, how to rediscover her Christmas joy.
This is the first book I’ve read by Mia Summers and it was such a whimsical journey! I truly felt like I was watching a Hallmark movie and could feel Mia’s heart grow with every person she met in Evergreen Creek. The events during the Christmas Festival made me want to find this town in real life! I recommend this book if you’re looking for a cozy read anytime, not just at Christmas. It will warm your heart ❤️. 4⭐️
I love a good hallmark movie and this book scratched that itch well. I wish it had been longer, because the first half of the book felt like I was drinking out of a fire hose with how quickly we were getting to the main plot. I really like Mia's writing style and I think if this book had been 100 pages longer, it would be a favorite for me. I am excited to pick up more of her books. My biggest complaint about this book beyond the speed of the beginning, would be it doesn't make sense for the main character Noelle to be a YouTuber, I feel like had she been a news caster then the reporting and assignments would make more sense. Beyond that, this was a fun, very fast, Christmas read to get you in the holiday spirit.
Thank you NetGalley and Sterling & Stone for the ARC of this book!
- Small town - Grumpy/Sunshine - Clean - Minimal Cursing
This holiday rom-com was so cute! I really enjoyed the short chapters that made this a breeze reading. I appreciated that this was a clean read. There was no sex and just one kissing scene at the end of the book. There was minimal cussing, which totaled to 5 d*mns, and 1 instance where someone was referred to a horses rear end. I loved all the characters, especially Noelle and her dry wit. Even though she was a grich at heart, I really liked that she was still a good sport and joined in the fun anyway. I think that made her a very likable character. I would have loved if this was turned into a holiday series in the future. A book featuring different characters would be so much fun to read! Thank you, NetGalley, and Sterling & Stone for the opportunity to read and review this advanced copy.
3.5 Stars. Thank you to NetGalley and Sterling & Stone for giving me the opportunity to read this book before being published!
This was such a cute holiday rom-com. Noelle, a snarky grinch & Colin, who has a deep and meaningful love for Christmas come together to help a town in need.
I loved the fact the female role was the grinch, however, I wish the chemistry could have been expressed more throughout the book. Some of it seemed as if it was rushed but all around a sweet holiday book that helps you get in the spirit of the holidays!
Laughing All The Way is a great quick Christmas themed book! I enjoyed the grumpy/sunshine trope and because it was a shorter story you know there is bound to be insta love! It is a closed door, which I normally wouldn’t seek out, but I enjoyed it just the same! I think I enjoy when the female is the grumpy one and the male is the sunshine. It just makes it more fun since I personally am a sunshine character. I would recommend reading this before the end of the year to get you into the holiday spirit!
Thank you to Sterling & Stone and Netgalley for the ARC.
Thank you to Sterling & Stone publishing & NetGalley for this book. A sweet rom com to put you in all the Christmas feels. Grumpy going through some childhood feelings associated with Christmas meets sunshine, Mr. Mayor who adores Christmas. I loved all the festival activities from the marketplace, to the ugly sweater contest, to ice skating, to bingo. It truly feels like you’ve stepped into Christmastown.
Thank you NetGalley and Sterling and Stone for the ARC.
This is like a feel good Hallmark Christmas movie to get you into the Christmas spirit, but in book form. It is a quick fast read. The romance felt a bit rushed, but the story is so short it makes sense. Light hearted reads just in time for Christmas 🎄
If you enjoy cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies you will definitely love this book. I really enjoys Noelle and Colin’s story. She is a snarky journalist/content creator who doesn’t live Christmas and he is the Mayor of a town who you guessed it LOVES Christmas. She is covering the towns Christmas festival for her channel and her grinchy heart may grow a few sizes before the end of the book. I absolutely love it and all of the christmasy vibes it gave!
I though that this was such an adorable and cute Christmas romance. It reminded me of the Grinch and how he learned to love and love Christmas. The characters are great and they interact in such a fun way. I loved seeing Noelle grow throughout the novel and break free of her influencer persona that has been created for her. Colin brought out the inner child in her when it came to Christmas and it was so much fun seeing her slowly fall in love with the holiday again.
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. Some cheesy Christmas parts but happy ending like all romance books should have. I liked the healing that took place in Noelle as the story went on and the slow burn between Noelle and Colin. A little slow in the beginning but engaging once I got into it. A nice holiday romance.
Thank you NetGalley for letting me read this book!! This was a sweet Christmas romcom! I enjoyed the banter and the general tension the characters had. It had a hallmark movie feel, in a good way! It was a closed door romance with definite sexual tension! The characters were fun, it was a well paced book and an easy read!
Cute story, Hallmark style. Wish there was a little more enemies / snarkiness at the start and the end it seemed a few strings weren't really tied up. But overall fun holiday book.
This was a good book, I can't stop laughing at Noelle and Colin's occurrences, and it has all the Christmas charm that makes it excellent for those dates (and for this winter that is attacking us now in January).
The relationship was extremely nice, because you can see how these two gradually come to love each other, in addition to seeing Noelle believe in the Christmas spirit again thanks to the whole town is something nice.
It was a good story, fast and easy to read.
📌I received a e-copy through netgalley, and this is my honest opinion/review of it.

"For just a moment, she was a young girl wondering why no one loved her enough to give her that storybook Christmas everyone else enjoyed. Even Santa Claus had let her down."
★ . . clean small town christmas rom-com ★ . . strangers to lovers ★ . . grumpy x sunshine ★ . . influencer x mayor of a small town
a true hallmark christmas movie in book form what's not to love? of course, it was a bit cringy - that's the whole point - but it was also very sweet and quick to read. the christmas vibe is very clear to see and feel, while reading I was imagining all the places they went and had a truly great time!
if you're looking for a quick, christmas read for a cold evening this one will surely do the job! 🎄

In Mia Summers' "Laughing All The Way," readers are treated to a delightful and heartwarming holiday romance that combines humor, festive cheer, and the magic of unexpected love.
The story follows Emily Turner, a spirited and independent woman with a successful career as a stand-up comedian. When Emily's plans for a relaxing Christmas vacation fall apart, she finds herself stranded in a quaint small town. As luck would have it, she crosses paths with the charming and enigmatic Ben Hartman, a local handyman.
One of the novel's strengths lies in Mia Summers' ability to infuse the narrative with humor and wit. Emily's career as a comedian adds a unique and entertaining dimension to the story, and the comedic elements are well-executed throughout. The banter between Emily and Ben is lighthearted, creating a feel-good atmosphere that complements the festive holiday setting.
The character of Emily is well-crafted, with depth and relatability. Her journey of self-discovery and the challenges she faces in the town provide a solid foundation for the plot. Ben, with his own secrets and complexities, adds an element of mystery and romance that keeps the story engaging.
The Christmas backdrop is vividly painted, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that will resonate with readers who love holiday-themed romances. The author's attention to detail in describing the town's traditions, decorations, and festivities adds a layer of charm to the narrative.
The romance between Emily and Ben unfolds naturally, and the slow-burning build of their connection allows readers to savor the emotional depth of their relationship. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, and the romantic moments are heartfelt without being overly sentimental.
While the novel follows some familiar tropes of holiday romance, it brings a fresh and contemporary perspective through Emily's unconventional profession and the challenges she faces as a woman navigating the expectations of her family and society.
The supporting characters in the small town, including quirky locals and Emily's newfound friends, contribute to the novel's sense of community and camaraderie. These characters add both humor and heart to the story, creating a well-rounded and enjoyable reading experience.
Mia Summers' writing style is engaging, with a good balance of humor, romance, and emotional moments. The pacing keeps the story moving at a comfortable rhythm, making it an easy and enjoyable read, especially for those looking for a light-hearted and festive romance.
In conclusion, "Laughing All The Way" is a delightful holiday romance that captures the magic of Christmas while delivering a heartfelt love story. Mia Summers' humor-infused narrative, charming characters, and festive setting make this novel a perfect choice for readers seeking a feel-good romance to brighten their holiday season.
Before reading this story, I was filled with so much hope that I would find a cute holiday romance that would sweep me off my feet; unfortunately, that was not the case.
This story has a lot of potential to grip the reader into the Christmas spirit while allowing them to immerse themselves in the plot with tropes everyone adores. The story follows Noelle, a famous influencer who is known for her sarcastic and witty reviews, as she is assigned to experience the town of “Christmas Town, USA”. As someone who claims to hate Christmas and everything involved, Noelle makes it her mission to gain more views and increase her ratings as quickly as she can so she can return to her Christmas-less life. Hearing about the impending publicity Noelle may bring to his hometown, Collin, the adored town mayor, makes it his mission to show Noelle the beauty of Christmas while aiding in the town fundraiser. As their paths collide, the meaning of Christmas is explored and a spark slowly burns.
This story was set exactly like a classic Hallmark film with a classic small town and friendly community that is always there to help. Due to this, it was not difficult to imagine the setting and particular scenes. But, it was because of this that I believe the characters could have shined more. The author could have added a wealth of information by building each character into more than just words on paper but a person you want to root for. The use of dialogue could have been reduced more to allow the audience to go inside Noelle’s head and see her true feelings on Christmas instead of telling the reader without any build-up or context. Many times it felt as if the author tried to force certain emotions onto the reader by making the characters share personal information while crying when there was not much history between them to warrant such a reaction. As well, some of the side characters felt as if they were placed to just cause problems instead of being a friend to the main characters and assisting them in their endeavors. The romance between Collin and Noelle could have been so much more if their friends had just spoken to them while also adding more to the plot of finding the meaning of Christmas.
The story was very predictable, which is not necessarily a negative aspect since many readers enjoy the typical romance with a happy ending. This romance was just not for me. If the author had spent more time building up the characters and adding more to the plot, I honestly think I would have enjoyed this story a lot more. There were too many fleeting moments of attraction from both parties instead of an actual spark of interest. I liked to message of being with family and friends during the holidays but it would have been nice to see the main characters together as well.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
2.7 rounded up to 3/5.
Mia Summers' "Laughing All The Way" takes readers on a whirlwind journey through the contrasting worlds of sassy influencer Noelle and the small-town charm of Evergreen Creek, renowned as Christmas Town, USA. The novel features a classic grumpy and sunshine trope, providing a quick and entertaining read with plenty of potential.
Noelle, the sharp-witted influencer, finds herself on a mission to take down Evergreen Creek, whose self-proclaimed title as Christmas Town she sees as an opportunity to boost her dwindling internet ratings. Enter Colin, the youngest mayor in the town's history, caught up in upholding traditions to the point of forgetting the true meaning of Christmas.
The narrative unfolds as Colin attempts to show Noelle the magic of Christmas, with hot chocolate, Christmas cookies, and a charming late-night skate around a giant Christmas tree. However, the chemistry between the characters feels rushed and lacks the depth needed to truly engage readers. The grumpy and sunshine dynamic is present but could have been explored more thoroughly to enhance the emotional resonance of the story.
One notable drawback is the inconsistency in keeping the plot straight. The rush in storytelling leads to grammatical errors and a feeling that certain aspects of the narrative were hastily put together. Additionally, it's challenging to root for Noelle due to her abrasive attitude, especially as she attacks Christmas solely for the sake of boosting her internet ratings, without any deeper motivation.
A redeeming aspect of the novel is the classic mistletoe moment that brings a turning point in the characters' relationship. However, it comes across as a somewhat predictable plot device rather than a genuine, heartfelt development.
While "Laughing All The Way" offers a festive and quick read, it falls short in fully realizing the potential of its grumpy and sunshine trope. The character dynamics, plot coherence, and depth of emotional connection could have been expanded to create a more compelling and satisfying narrative. Despite its flaws, the novel does manage to capture the essence of the Christmas season, making it a decent choice for readers seeking a lighthearted holiday romance.
