Reviving Hearts

Rate this book
This Christmas, I’d better not fall in love with my brother’s best friend… again.
A long time ago I fell in love with my brother’s best friend, Heath. We kept our relationship a secret, knowing my brother would never approve. I had faith that in time we would come clean and declare our love to the world, but Heath broke things off before that could ever happen. I fled from my hometown and vowed never to return.

Now I’ve inherited my grandmother’s Inn and I have no choice but to go back. It’s not as simple as just selling the property, it needs to be renovated first. When the realtor said he knew just the guy, I never suspected it would be Heath. The moment he steps back into my life, I can’t deny that the attraction is even greater than it was all those years ago.

While renovating the Inn, Heath is determined to remind me of everything I loved about my grandmother’s property and his family’s Christmas tree farm. Nothing has ever felt more like home, than when I’m with Heath. Could these feelings be real or is it the magic of the holidays fooling me into falling in love with Heath again?

This is the newest addition to the Monroe Brothers series and is the story of Heath and Marley. This is a wonderful story about second chances, growing up and trusting your heart. Heath and Marley secretly dated when they were in high school but broke up when Heath couldn’t take deceiving his friend who only wanted Heath to look after his younger sister, not date her. Marley was devastated and when she left for college, never returned because she couldn’t deal with the hurt that accompanied the bad memories from the break up. She only returns to town when her grandmother dies and leaves her the inn that is adjacent to the Monroe property and where Marley was raised. When Heath and Marley bump into each other again after being apart for 10 years, it’s bumpy at first and even though there is still the chemistry and attraction from before, Marley doesn’t trust that Heath won’t break her heart again since he’s still friends with her older brother so she runs back to California.

Heath is stunned when he sees Marley again and is drawn to her as strongly today as he was ten years ago. He tries to re-establish their connection while they work together on the ideas for the inn renovation but she fights it hard. He knows that she doesn’t trust him and it’s his fault but he perseveres. When Marley returns to town to handle some legal issues regarding the will and the inn, Heath doubles down on his efforts to try and get her to see their connection. He manages to get her to stay in town and ultimately gets her to move into his place and integrate her into his family by inviting her to dinner and having her work with the family on ideas to make the farm more successful. Marley doesn’t know what to do with Heath’s family and how warm and welcoming they are with her. They welcome her and her ideas with open arms and open minds. The more this happens, the easier it is for Marley to feel as if she belongs and helps her overcome her feelings of self doubt of being good enough. Between the Monroe family and Heath’s love, Marley slowly decides that she is good enough just as she is and doesn’t need to be more.

My one issue with a character was Marley’s brother, Aiden. Heath took his promise to look after Marley seriously enough to break things off with her so as not to betray their friendship. Ten years later when Heath and Marley are grown adults, who is Aiden to take issue with how they’re living their lives now, especially when he has never been around for her? While it is sort of understandable, I felt his reaction was ridiculous! How long is Heath supposed to keep looking out for Marley? If Aiden was that worried about her maybe he should have made more of an effort to be around for her.

This was a wonderful story about a wonderful couple that you cannot stop rooting for the entire way! This story has depth, complexity and very intense emotions. It is a heartbreaker for me because Marley’s character just hit a bit too close to home. Who doesn’t struggle with issues of being smart enough, pretty enough or worthy enough? While I’ve loved the previous books, this one just struck a solid chord for me and I couldn’t put it down. These two have such a strong connection and had genuine feelings for one another that even 10 years couldn’t erase. The Monroe family is just awesome! They have such a tight connection that being welcomed in was HUGE for Marley and makes me wish I had something similar for myself! They seem to know just what she needs and seeing Heath blossoming with her at his side makes the family work that much harder to draw her into their world. This might be my favorite couple in the series so far and that says something because the other couples have been fabulous and I’ve loved them all! I look forward to watching the rest of the Monroe brothers find their HEA too!

Heath and Marley’s story touched my heart. I was mesmerized as I learned their painful history, their abrupt breakup a decade ago fuelled by his promise to her brother, and no contact between them since. The tension between them was noticeable to all who witnessed their unexpected reunion, though neither Heath or Marley would admit to it. Both moved forward in their lives in the years since their breakup, at least in their professional lives. Their personal lives were another matter. Neither were been able to forget the other or have a serious relationship with anyone else. Fate finally smiled upon them and gave them a chance to makes things right between them.

His rejection of her years ago made Marley more closed off and less willing to establish any personal connections, even with her employees or neighbours. She devoted her time to her multi million dollar business and very little to any personal life. After she left town years ago to pursue her education, Marley never returned, even to see her beloved grandmother or the inn, for fear of seeing Heath and dredging up all the pain again. Her return to town was due to her grandmother’s death. Marley inherited the inn and needed to get it ready to sell. She eventually asked Heath to see to the renovations knowing that he had cared for her grandmother and had once loved roaming around the inn and the grounds around it. Seeing him again, his seeming indifference to her being back, brought up all the old pain and sent Marley back to California. When she returned months later, it was only to see the renovations and to clear up some legal matters. She never expected Heath to ask her to stay, to end up helping his family with their business or to take up residence in Heath’s home. It soon became clear to both Heath and Marley (and to his family too) that the sparks between them were ready to combust and both wanted it to happen. Was it a case of reviving hearts or just getting a taste of what they had missed before they could move on and close that chapter of their lives?

I highly recommend reading this book and the previous books in the Monroe Brothers series. All of them are funny, emotional and entertaining with some spicy bits for added enjoyment.

In this third book in the Monroe Brothers series, Marley returns home to the inn left to her by her grandmother. As a child, her grandmother was her caregiver, as her parents were self-centered and neglectful. She and her brother relied on each other and her grandmother for basic necessities, but also for the affection they both so sorely needed. Now that her grandmother has passed, Marley want nothing more than to renovate the inn and sell it so that she can leave her horrible teenage heartbreaks behind.

Heath has mixed feelings about Marley's return. She has worked hard to establish a new life and become successful away from their hometown. He can still see the teenage girl beneath the facade that drew his attention back then. Not wanting to betray the trust of his best friend Aiden, who also happens to be Marley's brother, he walked away from her years ago. Now, as they get to know each other once again as adults, Marley is even more beautiful than he remembered. Beyond her looks, she is hard working, intelligent and independent. While he isn't looking for a long-term commitment to anyone, he can't help but be drawn to Marley once again.

Marley begins the story as a bit prickly. Some of her behavior and comments are fairly harsh. Knowing how she grew up and how she was treated as a child, it's clear she's trying to guard herself from relationships that will need to new hurts. Heath proves himself to be caring and supportive, as well as hard-working and intelligent - their values and personalities align really well. As a result, against her better judgement, they begin a new adult relationship that quickly moves from friendship to something more.

Marley's initial prickliness did not make her a sympathetic character for me. As she opens up and develops new relationships back in her hometown as an adult, she becomes much more likable. Told in alternating POV, Marley's fear of abandonment and the feeling of being less-than become clear. Heath's concern with betraying Aiden's trust also become evident. He takes those teenage promises a bit too seriously as an adult. Both characters experience some significant growth over the course of the story, making the reader root for a happily ever after for these two.

The characters are intelligent and well-written, even if they do hold a bit too tightly to the past at times. I really enjoyed this second chance, slow-burn romance.

This is an honest, voluntary review of an ARC of the story.

Reviving Hearts by Lea Coll, book three in the Monore Brothers series, is a wonderful, heartwarming and romantic second chance, brother’s best friend, holiday romance between Heath and Marley. Neighbors Marley Matthews and Heath Monroe were teenage friends, and sweethearts, until Heath felt as if he was betraying his best friend, Marley's brother Aiden. Marley has returned in order to deal with her grandmother's estate and to renovate the Inn left to her, but being back also brings to the surface all the insecurities that Marley felt growing up in a trailer; along with someone her parents didn't want. When Heath and Marley meet again, the chemistry between them is still there; as is her being drawn into the Monroe family. She starts feeling like she can really belong, if only she can overcome the nagging self doubt that she is good enough and deserves this. Heath realizes that he mustn't rush Marley as he needs to help her overcome her fears, if he is going to get her to stay. Once again, the Monroe Christmas Tree Farm spins its magic helping to bring Heath and Marley together.

Ms Coll once again created a delightful, amazing, kind and wonderful family of brothers, with each brother being somewhat different. This close-knit family, although sharing some similar traits: grumpy and stubborn, is incredibly supportive of each other. This is a book about second chances, love, loyalty and family and will make you fall in love with the Monroe boys just that little bit more. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the Monroe brothers' stories. I highly recommend Reviving Hearts to other readers and can’t wait to see which Monroe brother is next.

Second chance romance is my favourite trope to read and add in brother's best friend and for me, you have a hit on your hands. Reviving Hearts gives us a story of two souls that are truly soulmates but when the guy you think you love is your brother's best friend, hearts are shattered. Could time heal all hearts or are they still broken? Ms. Coll gives us an emotionally gripping story that sees one person surrounded by family and all the love you could ever want while the other has a life of parents who didn't care and a school of mean kids.
Marley's life was not full of parental care, love or even the feeling of being wanted. Meeting Heath as a teen, she felt she found someone who wanted her but he broke her heart when he picked her brother's friendship over his feelings for her. Years later she has inherited the Inn that her grandmother owned and has a lot of decisions to make. The one thing that throws her is coming face to face with Heath, the boy who broke her heart, only now he is a man, handsome and sexy. Needing to get renovations done to the Inn, she hires Heath, but will this be a good idea? Will the time spent together bring back those old feelings? I loved how determined Heath was to prove to Marley that his love was still there and that he would do anything for her. With spending time with his family, Marley felt more and more at ease being back home and the urge to run back to where she was living disappeared. The two of them were truly made for one another.
I cannot wait for the next installment in the Monroe Brothers series as I am sure it will be another riveting and addictive addition to the series.

Reviving Hearts is the next book in this author’s Monroe Brothers series. It’s the spinoff from her Ever After series. This one focuses on a family who owns a Christmas tree farm, and it’s a holiday romance due to the story’s timeframe. It’s a complete stand-alone title. However, as a self-proclaimed big fan of this author’s books, I highly recommend reading all of the Ever After books in order before diving into this one. For longtime fans, I know we were all looking forward to Runaway Love, and I really liked the story. But this was, by far, my favorite to date.

My favorite part of this story is how this single brother seemingly does it better than the first two to fall. Heath’s insights into Marley’s psyche were incredibly insightful. While he did have some internal back and forth in the beginning, his feelings solidified pretty early on, and, thanks to his mom and his brothers, he stayed the course, which spoke so much more to Marley than just his words. Despite all of the stories so far being very different where the main characters are concerned, the continuation of the idea of this close-knit family who loves big and doesn’t think twice about including more and more people in their definition of family is my favorite theme of all.

As usual, Lea Coll delivered a cast of well-written and well-developed characters, sweet and swoony moments, and sprinkled in a bit of holiday magic (and a few breadcrumbs for the next book) for a winning combination.

I honestly can’t get enough of the Monroe brothers!!!
Heath and Marley have a shared history. One where they were secretly dating, his promise to her brother, and her broken heart.
Marley had such a rough childhood, especially with her parents, but her one bright spot was the secret connection she had with Heath. Heath promised her brother, his best friend, that he’d protect Marley. As much as he liked Marley, he didn’t want to disrespect his friend and broke things off with Marley. That left Marley devastated.
Years later, Marley is back to settle her grandmother’s estate when she basically hires Heath to renovate the inn. Even a decade later, there are still some lingering feelings.

I felt really heartbroken for Marley. With the exception of her grandmother, everyone who was important to her abandoned her in one way or another. While I’m glad she became a successful businesswoman, her life in California seemed sad and lonely.
I liked Heath. I could understand why he did what he did in the past, but I didn’t like how he went about it. That being said, I loved how he was reinforcing how much he valued her opinion and ideas. I liked that he really brought her into the Monroe family fold.
My only issue in this book was Aiden. He seriously made me angry. I couldn’t believe how he reacted! He was so worried about his sister but didn’t stay to protect her himself! He really had some nerve!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest opinion.

Second Chance/Big Brother's best friend
Heath and Marley were dating secretly when they were in high school. Marley's brother, Aiden, is Heath's best friend. Aiden asked Heath to protect Marley while he was away in the Army. Heath decided that he couldn't continue his relationship with Marley then. He wrote her a note saying that they couldn't continue without giving a real reason. Heath broke her heart and she couldn't stay around seeing him without being with him. She left and didn't come back often even to visit her grandmother. Her grandmother left her the family inn in her will so Marley came back to fix it up and sell it. Heath sees her again and all the old feelings come back. He doesn't want Marley to sell but to stay. He still has the problem of Aiden's request but his and Marley's feelings overcome that and they begin a relationship. Marley enjoys the family love that the Monroe's give her. She wants to still fix up the inn but will she sell? Marley helps the Monroe family figure out new ways to bring people and income to the Christmas Tree Farm. Aiden is going to come home on leave. Will he help with the inn? Will her relationship with Heath be a problem with Aiden? I really like this series with the Monroe brothers and how they find love even when they aren't looking for it. I'm looking forward to the next Monroe brother's story. I received an early copy of the book to read. I'm leaving my honest review.

I’m loving meeting the Monroe Brothers and I love Christmas so Heath and Marley’s story was always going to be on my radar but nothing could have prepared me for this epic second chance love story. Reviving Hearts ( The Monroe Brothers #3) is a wonderful addition to the series and it’s a journey that touched me on so many levels. Ms Coll writes wonderful romances set in small towns and from the moment I picked this book up I knew I was reading something very special.
Heath and Marley have know each other most of their lives and they even secretly dated durning high school but Marley walked away and never looked back until now.
Marley is back in town because she had inherited her grandmothers Inn. She is not looking to stay only to sell and move on but from the moment Marley and Heath cross paths again feelings come rushing to the surface and that’s when the fun begins because Heath needs to convince Marley that he is worthy of a second chance……
I loved everything about this book, it ticked all my boxes as I fell hard and fast for Heath and I adored Marley but what made this book special was watching these two learn to trust their hearts. The chemistry is hot, the banter is witty and this book has the perfect mix of love and emotion but let’s not forget the camaraderie the Monroe brothers share which just adds more depth to this gem of a read.

Many years ago, Marley Matthews and Heath Monroe were teenage sweethearts, until Heath couldn't get over the thought that he was betraying his best friend, Marley's brother Aiden. Now Marley is back to deal with her grandmother's estate and to renovate the Inn she left her, but being back also brings to the surface all the insecurities that Marley felt growing up in a trailer, and being someone her parents didn't want! Once again, the Monroe Christmas Tree Farm spins its magical web and helps bring Heath and Marley together in this fun story. I love how the brothers tease each other, but are still there for each other when they are needed. This is a book about second chances, love, loyalty and family and will make you fall in love with the Monroe boys just that little bit more.

Another heart-warming Monroe family story. Years ago, Heath was in love with his teenage friend Marley Matthews, and best buddies with her brother Aiden. When Aiden left for the military, he asked Heath to protect Marley and Heath believed that to do so he must end their relationship. Marley soon left town and made a new life for herself, but has returned to sell her grandmother’s inn. She knew she would see Heath again, but didn’t expect that her feelings, for him, would still be so strong. When she hires him to renovate the inn it is with the expectation of selling and returning to her life in California. She hadn’t planned on the welcome and love from the entire Monroe family, love she did not experience from her own family. Marley, an expert at promotion, is drawn into helping the family as they prepare for the Christmas Tree season. She has never felt as if she is enough…will she be enough for Heath, this time? With her brother due to return home, will Heath realize that loving her is more important than anything else? An absolutely beautiful story! Another Monroe Brother and another FANTASTIC BOOK !! This time it is Heath Monroe and he is in the construction field along with working with his family in the Christmas Tree farm BUT he is missing something in his life .. he loves his work and satisfied with it BUT there is just something ….

In walks the something .. Marley Mathew’s .. while the Monroe’s are walking through the lighted path as a family Marley comes out of the now closed bed and breakfast next door thinking the Monroe’s were trespassers BUT little did she know it was Heath .. he long lost love.

Marley and Heath lost contact when she left for college and made a name and life for herself in Malibu, California so what would a little Christmas Tree farm hold her interests ?? Could it be her Grandmas legend to live on, bring the bed and breakfast back to life or he buried down feelings she has for Heath ?? Will she stay or will she sell and move back to Cali because once you get your heart broken sometimes nothing can repair it ..

These two are a fun, light and loving couple but can they make a go of it and not let family hold them back ?? Such a heart warming, loving story !! Cant wait for more !!

Another winner from this gifted writer. This is the story of Heath Monroe whose best friend, Aidan, went off to war asking him to look after his younger sister, Marley Matthews. Marley had been raised in a trailer by neglectful uncaring parents and was much closer to her grandmother who has just passed and left her inn though in need of renovation. When Marley returns from California where she has a successful business after a decade away she runs into the Monroe family and Heath, the boy who still arouses her passions although she has never forgiven him for breaking up with her all those years ago. He did so because he couldn't betray his best friend, her brother but it hurt her badly and she has never had a strong male relationship since but then again neither has Heath had a good female one. Both still hunger after the other while declining to admit same. The inn gives them the opportunity to come together as Heath undertakes the reconstruction. Slowly and hesitantly the furnace between them relights and the sensual passions give way to delicious steam. A nostalgic and pleasant holiday time read. Received this arc and have voluntarily reviewed.

Marley is going to make you ache with her. And I don’t mean that in a bad way at all. It’s just so obvious that she wants to belong, yet feels that she fits in exactly NOWHERE, that grabs you. And then her fears suck you in a bit. Then her worries about being enough for someone to choose her have you firmly in the middle of this with her. Because she feels so real. She feels like all of us. Sure, we may not all have every single fear or insecurity she does, but we can all identify with worrying over whether or not we’re enough. Smart enough. Pretty enough. Worthy enough. Matter enough.

And then Heath does his best to ease those fears. He knows not to rush too much. He doesn’t push when it’s unnecessary or when fears are trying to lead. He’s just THERE. Loving, supporting, befriending, there. Which is exactly what this story needed, and it’s exactly what he and Marley both deserve.

I adored how these two worked it all out. How they found their way. And now I hope for other brothers, cousins, and at least one friend to share their stories with us soon.

Marley and Heath have a complicated past. They were seeing each other when they were younger but he broke things off. He felt he was betraying his best friend who was her brother. But years have passed and it is time for love to bring them back to each other. Soon after she's back to settle her grandma's estate, Heath realizes that this is his shot to make her see just how special she is and how much he loves her. He is determined to give it all and hopes that she chooses to stay with him.

Marley is not good with feelings. Her upbringing was not a happy one and she can see that he makes her happy but she needs to believe in him not to leave. Without it they can't ride into the sunset but thankfully she realized that her life only makes sense with him in it.

This series is picking up with each book and I'm excited to see what our accountant Sebastian has in store for us.

I'm loving these Monroe men...Heath and Marley were close when they were teenagers, her life was difficult having parents who well weren't the best parents to her brother and her. Thankfully she had her grandmother, who took care of her needs but Marley never felt loved or important, especially after Heath left her a note breaking up with her because her brother was his best friend and knew their relationship would cause issues. Marley left, went to college and was very successful and returns home a decade later after her grandmother's death to sell the inn she owned. When the two see each other they know their feelings are still there but they try to move past them while Heath remodels the inn to sell and Marley goes back to California but the lure of Heath's wonderful family and the love they have for each other pulls her back and realizes that she does mean something especially to Heath. This is a wonderful story of love and each Monroe story makes you love this family even more.

It may not be Christmas anymore but who said the magic can’t be there all year round. The magic of Christmas is alive on the Monroe Christmas Tree Farm and I love seeing all these grumpy mountain men fall. And with the help of a little Christmas magic and a Christmas tree farm Heath and Marley have a second chance at love and that happily ever after.

It’s not hard to get swept away in this book and feel like you are right in the middle of the Christmas spirit. When they were younger Heath and Marley were a mere teenage crush but now they have matured and are adults. Sometimes the heart leads you to the one that meant to be yours and Heath and Marley are meant to be each other’s. Some teenage promises are meant to be altered.

I love the way Lea weaves a beautiful love story with family, love and a pinch of spice. She gets you wrapped up in the story that you can’t put it down till that very last page. I look forward to Sebastian falling next and more of the Monroe family moments.

Another solid addition to this series! Marley didn't have the best home life. She could only count on her grandmother and her brother. She had a hard time letting anyone else get close to her. Heath is her brother's best friend and he made a promise to look after Marley when her brother joined the military. They got really close and Heath decided to break it off because he felt like he was betraying his friend. Devastated, Marley left town and never returned. Only the passing of her grandmother brought her back home. Her grandmother had left her the family inn that was next to the Monroe family Christmas tree farm. Heath was asked by his boss to do the renovations on the inn. Running into each other again they realized that all the feelings were still there. Could Heath find a way to get Marley to stay or will both of them walk away for a second time? I really enjoyed reading their journey to happiness! Can't wait for more from the farm!

Marley fell in love with Heath when she was a teenager however when he chose his loyalty to her brother rather than his love for her she couldn’t stay and be near him but not with him. It is only when her grandmother passes away and she needs to deal with her inheritance that she returns and the one thing she does know is that she needs to protect her heart.

The biggest regret in Heath’s life was ending his relationship with Marley and he wants a second chance. He convinces her to let him help with restoring the Inn she inherited while he shows her what their life could be like if she agrees to stay however, they must also make peace with the reason that their relationship ended the first time around.

After the pain of the past Marley is cautious and Heath is still concerned about how her brother will feel but they also realize how special the love they share is and aren’t about to let anything or anyone stand in their way.

Heath and Marley knew each other as kids. Marley had a rough childhood with uncaring parents so when her brother Aiden left for the Army he asked Heath to look after Marley. They teenage romance ended when Heath felt guilty about pursuing Marley behind Aiden’s back. Fast forward a decade - Marley is a successful California-based author and life coach and is back in Maryland to settle her grandmother’s estate and figure out what to do with the inn she left behind. Heath and his family want to buy the inn or have it stay operational. The connection they have has never died. As they work together on the inn and she helps his family’s tree farm, can they discover a way to make a relationship work as adults?

I loved this book and its two main characters. I have read the other books in this series and loved them as well. This book works as a stand alone but I recommend reading in order.

I read an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Wow! I got to hand it to those Monroe brothers, they sure know how to win a girls heart. This might be my favorite of the series so far. Heath and Marley have such a sweet and beautiful story. Dating back to their teen years and a lot of unresolved feelings made this story interesting and wonderful.

Overall this book was a wonderful read. So full of emotion and romance that it draws readers into a Hallmark worthy story. The characters are lovable and complex. The story has depth and intense emotions. Add in the Christmas Tree Farm and you have your “FA LA LA LA” moment. Moments of perfection.

I highly recommend this book and all the ones before it. I cannot wait to hear Sebastian’s story and Talan’s story seems like it might be an epic tale. You wouldn’t want to miss out on these Monroe Brother Romances. They are swoon worthy.

Monroe Xmas tree farm is truly magical. Marley left Maryland as soon as she had the chance. Now coming back after her grandmother's death is bringing up memories she would rather not remember especially ones that involve Heath.
Heath broke up with her years ago because of his friendship with her brother. But he has never forgotten her. He is hoping that now that she is back even for a short time she will experience the magic of the tree farm, and maybe even decide not to sell the inn and stay here
Reading this story you feel the love they have for one another. The magic of Christmas and this farm is the perfect combination for heath and Marley to admit their feelings for one another and this time make it work. This series just keeps getting better and better. My two favorite things Christmas and romance. How could it not be anything other than a five star read.

There is nothing I enjoy more than a good second chance romance read. They are especially enjoyable when there is an element of the forbidden.

Heath is torn apart by the promise he made to his best friend before he enlisted - Watch out for his younger sister, Marley. His word is put to the test when the two form a friendship that leads to more. Ending it is hard for him and breaks her heart. Ten years later Marley returns a confident and successful woman. Neither one has forgotten the other and long buried desires resurface stronger than ever.

There was something incredibly special about watching Heath come to terms with his feelings for Marley. Once the realisation that she is the one for him hits, he is all in and makes it his mission to win over her heart forever. The thing I loved most about this love story was watching Marley heal old wounds and allow herself to fall in love and be loved by the right man and his family. It was beautiful.

I’m giving 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗦 the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!

This is the third book in this incredible series, and this is Heath and Marley’s story.
Marley has a tough childhood, with uncaring parents, and when her brother left to join the military, he asked his best friend Heath to keep an eye on her. When Heath breaks Marley’s heart she leaves town vowing never to return. When Marley inherits her grandma’s Inn, she has no choice but to return, knowing the Inn needs to be renovated before it can be sold. Heath is determined to convince Marley off everything she loved in her hometown, but will he convince her to stay?
This is a well written story which is an easy to read, emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, romance, humor, witty banter, second chances, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Heath and Marley's story is one of my favorite kinds to read. An older brother's best wrapped up in a second chance romance. And of course we are back on the Monroe Brothers Farm where fate seems to have a plan for all of the Monroe's.

Heath and Marley's second chance isn't going to come easy, at first Heath is determined to steer clear like the promise he made to Marley's brother when he was asked to watch out for her so many years ago.
Marley on the other hand has her walls up, Heath broke her heart once and she can't let him get near again.

As they see more and more of each other though and feelings change and evolve will they be able to forge ahead and tackle what separated them in the past.
This series just keeps getting better.

This is the third book in the Monroe Brothers series, the story of Marley and Heath. Theirs is a story of second chances, as the two dated in secret years ago. Marley’s older brother is best friends with Heath, and lines were being crossed when Heath was asked to look after her.

Marley has made a good life for herself in California, but she has been tasked with selling her grandmother’s inn, and she has come home to do that. These two have found each other, will their hearts be broken again? Has time and the love of family going to change the course for these two.
I enjoy this series and cannot wait for the next brother’s story.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

A Christmas story with a family owning and working a Christmas tree farm in the background makes a beautiful, peaceful setting. Marley was their childhood neighbor who often joined in the games the boys played in the woods.

Heath was the one son who noticed her in the past, and drew her out of her shell unto his conscience as her brother's best friend reared up, hurting her deeply.

Fast forward a few years and Marley and Heath meet again under difficult circumstances. Their dance towards a HEA is both believable and complex. Both of them work through self-worth and abandonment issues in a mature and sensitive way.

This book tackles the second chance, brother's best friend tropes well. I loved the book

The one that got away....
Heath never really got over his first love, Marley, but he felt that pursuing her was betraying his best friend, Marley's brother. Having Marley back in his life again seems too good to be true. Marley was hurt when Heath had ended things when they were younger, but she can't deny there is still something there between them. She never really felt she belonged in Maryland, but being with Heath and his family on the tree farm feels magical, almost too good to be true. Is fate giving Heath and Marley a second chance at love, or will Marley's old fears send her running? I'm loving the Monroe brothers' love stories!

A regular theme of a second chance romance, with the ineterfering and overbearing brother best friend contribution. Well written and great characters now in adulthood.
Marley and Heath secretly dated in high school. Heath broke off the relationship because of his best friend, Aiden and Marley left, bereft, or college and hadn't return.
She is now back in town after inheriting her grandmother's delapidated old inn. Guess who the renovating contractor is?
Their first meeting is reasonably cordial but frosty. Whilst teenage feelings may slowly be reignited, trust is something that is easily lost and harder to find.
Heartwarming moments in and around the Christmas tree farm and family.

Reviving Hearts is the third book in the Monroe Brothers Series. I truly enjoyed this one. It has my favorite trope: a second chance romance with a brother's best friend. Marley and Heath grew up together as neighbors and had a secret relationship as teenagers which was short lived for fear of Marley’s brother disapproval. Marley now returns to her childhood hometown and runs into her first love. Heath is determined to make things right between them. This is another fantastic story written by Lea Coll. It's full of romance, emotion, well written characters and a little holiday season magic thrown in. I highly recommend this book and series.
