THINLY VEILED is equally sexy and smart. It’s about making your own happiness in a world eager to find fault with you, and embracing family, even when they piss you off.
Big boobs, tiny waist, wide hips, and long legs. That’s definitely me, Zelda Gordon.
I don’t care if the world calls me plus-sized, and I’ve learned to stop caring if my sister calls me flawed.
Because I’m about to call those sexy, loving fellas, Drew and Aithan, my husbands.
When I look in the mirror, I finally see the beautiful woman my men love. We’ve survived a hellish year, and we're on track for happiness. Until greed slithers from the dark corners of Drew's past, and pride tries to drive a wedge between Aithan and me.
That monster, Spite, brought along its wicked cousins, Avarice and Scorn. They're crafting thinly veiled threats, but our unconventional family is ready to tear them apart. Because nothing will stand in our way. Nothing will ruin our happiness. Nothing.
NOTE: If you find cussing offensive, if you skip past the sex scenes, or if the idea of multiple love interests makes you clutch your pearls (not in a good way), The Fatkini Chronicles ain’t the books for you. But, if you love curvy girl, chronic illness romance with a why choose relationship and two cinnamon roll heroes who are all about her happiness, then this series is calling your name.
These 3 are at it again but only in the best way possible…I love them & their story We get a deep dive of both Drew & Aithans past/childhood….be forewarned both back stories are pretty heavy…who am I kidding….Drew’s childhood is VERY heavy so be cautious of your mental health
Tobias, Mari & Jill all make several appearances in this book…I love reading about those 3….hopefully things progress but we’ll just have to wait and see
We do get to meet the whole family…I expected family drama but man oh man
Then we have Drew’s ex Livi…can she be anymore of a pain in the uh neck…I hope she gets what’s coming to her & not what she thinks “she deserves”
Overall I can’t say enough good thing about this series…each book I fall in love even more with all 3 of the main characters If you love why choose reverse harem with a plus size FMC & 2 physically fit men in her life give the series a read….Zelda has Graves’ disease so I feel like I learn a little more about it in each book…I think she needs her own cookbook
This is such a great MFM romance series. It is a treat to spend so much time with loveable characters and getting a real in-depth feel for each of them, their personalities, backgrounds and how they are moving forward together. As a person who also suffers with thyroid issues I love the representation and the insight these books give. I loved everything about this book but the stand out is the the love, support and romance from the two MMCs. I love this series.
Thanks to Monica Ross to allow me to keep ARC reading these!
The series just keeps getting better and better with each book and I absolutely cannot wait for the next one! I want to hug Drew so much after this book. He must be protected at all costs. Also I wanna fight most of the trio's family. The drama is so well written and I can't get enough. I really don't have anything bad to say about this book!
I adore Zelda, but this book had me falling in love with Drew and Aithan more and more. Finding out their backstory, having them share that pain and emotion with Zelda was such a good read. Her showing up and seeing them - loving them, despite their past, just makes me love these characters more.
I have a deep and abiding affection for this series and the characters that Monica has created. Her characters are navigating their way through insecurities, family trauma, narcissists, body image and a poly relationship, but it's all dealt with so beautifully. The damage that families can inflict can't be under-estimated; after all they know how to push the right buttons because they installed them in the first place. I never thought I'd find myself having epiphanies about my own families and people in my life the way I have reading this book, but here we are!
All that said, this series is a seriously good read about healthy, supportive, spicy relationships, and I'm HERE for it. Monica is peeling back more layers of each character with every book, and just when I think I might have worked out what's going to happen, she surprises me all over again. Drew, Zelda and Aithan are the perfect combination as far as I'm concerned and I'm already looking forward to seeing what happens next. I loved seeing Aithan deal with his family, and now I can't wait to see what's going to be going on for Drew. I mean, I would posit a couple of theories here, but Monica will probably read it and think "bwa ha ha haaaaa", so I might as well shut up, and wait to pounce on the pre-order.
The characters are great. I enjoyed following a long with them, enough so, that I will continue with the series to see where it goes. But I almost put this down when there were point of view (POV) changes. It was very annoying. The author needs to either make the whole book 1st POV or the whole book 3rd POV (I hope not, as I don’t like 3rd person and would probably quit a 3rd person book). The FMC (female main character) is all in 1st person, but the MMC’s (main male characters) are all in 3rd person. Makes for very confusing chapters mixed into the rest of the book. I don’t think I would read any other series by this author due to that. She definitely writes compelling characters though.
Anther fantastic book in the Fatkini Chronicles! I love the characters, their back stories are so relatable and how they’ve managed to pull their lives together is heartwarming. You can quite easily fall for these characters since it’s so well written. You grieve for Drew and his past, you can relate to Zel with an overbearing older sibling, and totally understand Aithan and his struggle with a parent like his mother. I think my only complaint is not understanding the things said in Polish. The gist is there but not always translated. Still I have enjoyed this series completely.
I was curious what happened to Tristan? He's not mentioned again... The whole Livi situation is not understandable.. why??? The things drew ans zel say to seb are said like she wants to get with him but since he's a dog she'd get hurt?!!!! Why not just simply say, I'm in love.. ( I mean he's at the wedding..). and I don't want a child such as yourself. Go away!!!! He still may have ended up getting punched 👊.. I loved that athanasius had the discussion with his mother and Zel gave her sister the energy she deserved..
Wow! I love a good wedding. The one between this trio was superb.
As the lead up to the big day, we experienced Drew in a C-PTSD trigger and attack. We experience planning, dressing, family drama, A courthouse wedding, and the crazy ex Drew left behind.
However, these three pull off the perfect day, despite those family members who have sticks up their butts.
Book 4 was definitely not my favorite and I was so looking forward to the wedding. I don’t like how it was basically railroaded by their horrible family members. I also think the spicy scenes are getting way too long. I’m hoping to fall back in love with this series in book 5.
Glad they all got their wedding full of cuteness and special touches/surprises. Greer & Ksenia suuuuuuck. Hopefully Seb grows up and we get to see more of Aith’s sisters and Drew’s pseudo-dads. They were all great!
I've enjoyed reading this series quite a bit, and I'm usually more of a pnr genre. The characters are well thought out and grow, the sex works with the plotline.
I enjoyed the series and am happy for the HEA. The characters were way more complex than I ever could have thought and I would love to know how the court case concluded and see directly about Amari and Jill.
