(c)1993 The book is so popular the pages are literally falling out. Annie loses her husband and leaves the town they live in due to poverty. The book was hard to put down because you could hardly wait to see what Annie would do and also what would happen next. Riveting. Dire circumstances surround her life as she seeks out a home with her mother's family.
My Nana bestowed this book on me 10 years ago and was like 'you should read this, it's dead good' and I was like sure Nana, then it was dead good and I've read it multiple times. What an absolute gem.
Never read Lynda Page before but couldn't put this book down. Was hooked on Annie's story from the start and everything she has achieved. Would recommend this to anyone who wants a good story to get into.
