Perfect gallop through ancient Greece.

One of 4 English books in the Spanish Museum of History. Two of which were on Ancient Greece. Interesting concept. A good read. I now understand why this book was really there, too. Greece is the real starting point of European and Western culture. This book is a good, brief telling of all this. The only problem is, thus, its denseness for such a "short read."

This was such a fun little book and introduction to facets of the Hellenic world. A little generic in places but for me it revives the Ancient Greek civilization’s soul. Exploring the sacred and the secular. Sun drenched groves and agriculture, to deeply rooted mythology and rituals which formed the domestic heartbeat that pulsed through every marketplace and landscape.
