I can't really review the content, but OH MY GOODNESS, the TYPOS. There is an alarming amount of typos. It's bad.

APR. 23: I read the final chapter yesterday!! I am sad to finish this course (I’ve loved it so much). But, I’m so happy for and proud of myself. I feel confident with this material, and I’m excited for my future in healthcare.

I read the 12th edition of this book. I think it was very good, especially the medical chapters. There were a disturbing amount of typos. I think it could use a proof read.

The trauma chapters sometimes had some conflicting information, but I still found it very useful.

The case studies with each chapter were very helpful.

Taking a second to review this beast. Yes, read EVERY chapter. A bit wordy, sometimes repetitive, very informative. Feeling much better about prehospital care after making my way through it, might even call me an EMT now 🩺 (I am licensed). Won’t recommend to just anyone, but it may just pique the interest of a few.

I read this book for my EMT - Basic Class and Training Certification at Wayne County Community College. I Learned new things about the human body and our health that I never knew. I learned to save a man's, or woman's life from this book along with the extraordinary Instructor I had.

I was glad for this book and I think it did above and beyond in preparing me for this test, though I think only adequately prepared me for the work.

I would NOT recommend letting anyone pick up this book. There are very graphic images and not always when it is appropriate. I found myself going, "I'm looking at the cardiovascular system and I'd like to be only looking at the cardiovascular system." I think this is due to varying artists' contributions.

I'm still glad for it, even to the point that I'll use it as a reference book in the future.
