The format of this is terrible on Kindle. The font wasn't adjustable and everything looked too dark, even on my paperwhite.
The author is obsessed with disposable wipes and flushable wipes and toilet scrubbers (nothing but toilet paper should be flushed in a toilet!!!!), which turned me off as it's so wasteful.
I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I’ve read a good amount of cleaning and decluttering books and this one is right up there with the rest. Quick easy read. Set up more like a manual than a book. Practical advice to move your house from a cluttered mess to an organized relaxing space. It made me excited to tackle those tough areas I tend to avoid. It takes you through the full process of getting your house set up for success and minimal cleaning, but it is a little light on the details. It references what to do but doesn’t go in depth as much as I would like. It does offer great tips at the end. Definitely a great practical book many households could benefit from! And a great jumping off point if you’re unsure where to start.
2.5 stars rounded up. There was some useful advice in this, and agree with her broader point that having less stuff, keeping counters cleared, etc., makes cleaning overall easier. Like, the reason cleaning can be difficult is you first need to pick up and declutter before you can even start to clean. That’s an important piece of wisdom for home management. Perhaps I’m too immersed in this topic, and was therefore less impressed by the advice; it’s possible someone new to the topic would take more from the book than I did. The advice I will take: putting dishes in the dishwasher rather than the sink, wiping up while you’re using something such as wiping down the sink with a Clorox wipe after you brush your teeth. I will implement those. Also the idea to tie a weekly task with another task I already do like washing the sheets every Saturday morning after you sleep in.

The book gives a different approach to cleaning by create zones. This is similar to working by room, but smaller chunks. The book also suggests doing something every day to work towards a clean and clutter free home. Sorry, not sorry, but I don’t want to do housework daily. I’m more of a marathon doing all dusting, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming one day with doing laundry, dishes and taking out trash on a needed basis.
Very good if your current system isn’t working or you’re looking for help to make cleaning and declutter if a new habit.
I enjoyed perusing this book to find tips on how to manage cleaning tasks more efficiently. Although I already practice most of the direction provided, I still found a few things I can imp!cement to make my current process even better. I would recommend this book.
We hire an organization expert and she was really great. Now I know why. She read this book! It reminds of cleaning things that I put off and when I do it, I wonder why. This book is also great because it is not a book about good habits, but rather developing new normals.
Awesome way to re-think cleaning. Clever, smart and direct to the point book. As a professional organizer, I use lots of the methods Tamra presents on her book, and it works wonderfully. Easy reading with beautiful pictures.
I found the no cleaning tips helpful. At first I thought it would recommend something like “tidy so you don’t clean”, but she explains ways to create systems and zones to make things easier for yourself.
. Will I must say it’s good and I’ve been decluttering over a year and have read several books or articles but this was nice and I would recommend it cause it was all in one book everything I’ve been trying to piece together for ever.
So I was shocked this book covered decluttering, organizing, cleaning tools and much more.
It was a easy and quick read which was nice cause it keep me interested in reading. Everything was laid out nice with easy to follow principles. First time I was ever told “not focus how much space I have but how much I want to manage” those words hit me in the heart, that’s what I need to do and will start to do. I’m so excited get started on this journey.
I already today took the steps picked out what cleaning supplies work best and placed them all in one bucket I can easily carry. I loved this information and it makes since and right away it’s going to make life easier. Love everything about this book and I’m so happy i have read it. I have learned a lot and took notes. I can’t wait to do better.
I also like how the author pointed out “clean up the mess now and takes 30 seconds, or wait 30 mins now you got to scrub and work harder” this is what I’ll remind myself for sure.
There was a couple pages just quick tips and I loved them so much I marked them down and put on my fridge. This is great book I have to say it actually made me excited to declutter, clean and have a clean house.
