Never Again Unfortunately!

Didn’t really like this one. Love the cover that intrigued me the most from the beginning. There were some errors with name mix ups or just spelled wrong but it was a lot of errors in regards to timing that made no sense. For example at graduation she said they haven’t talked in months when they literally was together thanksgiving and saw each other when she was packing. Also in the epilogue when she thanks her sister for going after him years ago when the epilogue was only a year later. Outside of that i got the attraction and sex part but i didn’t feel a connection between these two characters or it wasn’t really shown. Also, the first 9 chapters are just describing their attraction and how they can’t stop thinking of each other. I honestly should’ve stopped there but don’t like being a quitter. Don’t understand her bringing him home and saying just be friends. I felt she acted impulsively alot. What i really thought was dumb was her going out to a bar and leaving him at her house. Like if you want to hang with family .. cool but don’t invite him and leave him at home when you’re literally the only person he knows. Then I didn’t understand why he was so uncomfortable talking about his family and still didn’t understand that dynamic by time the story ended. This just wasn’t a good read for me personally.

Beautiful

Amazing story and my only complaints are the random mistakes for names, constant eye color changes or contradiction in movements. She went from Regina to Reyna to Roxanne then back to Regina. Max was Matt and then back to max. Sean was speaking but it was also max talking. One moment they're kneeling but then they are standing about to kneel or they are standing up but are so shocked they stay firmly seated. Or his mossy green eyes locking onto mine but i can just feel myself getting lost in those blue eyes... Then said he his deep brown eyes. Her eyes are onyx black and then they are amber in color. All vastly different and annoying little errors. Like holy confusion Batman. But all in all I can look past those because this book was amazing overall. And I'm about to see what else this author has in her collection!!!!

I love Jarrett

I loved that his character was such as ass to start with, but then did a 360 in blink. And that old line, we'll just sleep in the bed, no sex. Not with his sexy ass, he knew she was going to give him some, the magnetic pull between the two was undeniable. And he roommates, loved them! And loved Charlie, because she had to shake some sense into her and open her eyes.
Very good story, because sometimes we have to hit bottom before we know what we really want on need. And Regina had to get out of her head, to see that she had a man that was going to do anything to be with her. He wanted her, damned everything else. Jarrett got his girl in the end.
Also loved the extended epilogue, always like to know about what happens in the future.

Okay so, I REALLY enjoyed this story. The transitions were a little hard to follow and some of them didn’t flow very well, for example when Regina and Jarrett were at the Christmas party dancing but then they damn near had sex I was like are they still in the middle of the dance floor or somewhere else? Emotionally they were all over the place and the ending was a little rushed. I wish we got to read a little more about them getting to know each other because from this viewpoint their relationship is just based on sex.

2.5⭐️

I wanted to like this book so much but it didn’t do it for me. After reading the reviews I was excited to read the humour and get lost in the plot but I didn’t get that. I just got an angry black woman trying to deal with the divorce trauma from her parents so she was scared of commitment, resulting in there being ‘fake dating’ if you will. It was mostly fighting and makeup love scenes which was a no from me which I’m here for but not this one because I wanted there to be more depth to the book.

Hmm 🤔

This was just mid to me, wasn’t enough spice to make up for the lack of chemistry to me.

Although I did like the plot, I just wish that the chemistry was there I just didn’t fill it so whenever a spice thing happened, it almost felt like two characters having spice not two characters building this tension and having spice.

I hope that made sense! 😂

But otherwise, it was a very quick read that took me longer than expected. Mainly because I just didn’t feel like continuing the story once the chemistry wasn’t established, but I got through with it and it was OK.

Green Eyes, Blue Eyes, Brown Eyes…. girl what?

I just couldn’t finish it. Character development is so important to me and something so minimal as the description of his eyes changing, annoyed me to my core. I tried to look past it changing from green to blue but when I got to chapter three and they became brown, I just closed the book completely. Work on the character first so I can fall into my book coma with correct visions.

Wow, first read and last. This was a trainwreck. The writing is very off-putting and repetitive. The writer even changes the heroine's name at one point to Roxanne. I had to stop and be like "what the" and a "who dat"???
Will surely not be reading again. Not sure how this book got 4 star reviews....

I was hoping for more college/workplace drama, but this book was more about developing Jarret and Regina's relationship with a lot of spice. I enjoyed reading this couple's relationship go from enemies to friends-with-benefits and beyond.

Never Say Never

Storytelling was just Perfect & So Happy they ended up together. Needed a little more detail why Rey had issues. Jarrett was her soulmate!
