What the actual fck did I just read! I went in completely blind as this was recommended on fb spicy book group as a 'fun' spicy Xmas read.

Spoiler alert it was not fun. For me it was a chaotic mess and not well written at all. No real plot but any plot that was started had holes galore. However maybe if you want just pure p*rn and very dark romance you will like it. I have enjoyed dark romance and I like heavy spice so I’m no prude but I do use the word 'romance’ loosely here as there is zero. He just stalks her, drugs her & grapes her repeatedly with zero consent and m*rders people along the way too.

Bianca has had a stalker for years. She almost always feels his eyes on her, but she has never seen his face without a mask. Klaus finally has everything in place to make Bianca his once and for all. When the mask comes off, the crazy gets crazier, and the smut gets smuttier.

Given his level of cray cray, I really could’ve done with more than a novella. The WTF ending really solidified that, leaving me with questions (no cliff, just questions). That said, I enjoyed Klaus’ brand of ìnsaníty Bianca’s willingness to overlook his “flaws” in the name of love and devotion. However, there’s minimal plot to be found here. So, if that’s what you’re after, look elsewhere. If not, enjoy this smutty one-handed read for exactly what it is!

I really don’t know what this says about me but I liked this book far more than I should have. Like is it unhinged? Yes. Do we have a man who lurks in the shadows? Yes. Does he do obscene things to our FMC while she sleeps? Also yes. But does he also keep her safe and away from bad things and people? Yes, yes he does and we love him for that!

Listen, if you like dark romance and do not have any triggers, this one is for you! This is a short, quick and smutty read that will leave you saying what the fuck did I just read in the more delicious of ways. My only problem was it was a novella. I wanted more. Which is always my problem with novellas. But this was the perfect way to cleanse my reading palate in between full length novels and I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

I'm...idk how I feel about this book. It was okay, but I didn't really vibe too much with it. Klaus has been Biancas stalker for a while now, making sure no one messes with her, keeping her safe but letting her mess around and all that as he stays in the shadows. So that makes me take some points away.. she works at a mall as an elf and deals with a pervy Santa, which has Klaus killing him and having sex over his body.

He's now done sharing her with everyone. Bianca is his he's showing her how well he can take care of her and a lot of smut. Like lots. And I'll be honest, an ending was meh.



No cheating, Drama, sexy times, no virgin h/ virgin H (mentioned he watched her fuck others in the past)

So I usually love stalker romances with a side order of kidnapping, but I prefer the stalker to not choke their person out repeatedly. The general idea was interesting tho.

Oh my god yikes… That was fully just 100 pages of him raping and abusing her into thinking she loved him because he was the only man that had shown her this much attention. What part of that was romance?? This wasn’t a dark romance at all (it was a horror that I fully believe the author felt would get her more sales if she marketed it as a spicy dark romance because that’s what’s popular on BookTok right now).
Okay honestly story aside, the writing alone is atrocious. Like unbelievably awful. I don’t mind little plot/all spice novellas and I love dark romance (I have loved books with much darker/longer trigger warning pages), so this isn’t at all because I couldn’t handle the content. It was so poorly written and the fmc was both incredibly annoying and INCREDIBLY fucking stupid. There was essentially no plot, however what part of the “story” could pass for plot was riddled with holes (it was like if you ordered a sandwich and got the moldiest Swiss cheese that you didn’t realize was both moldy AND you were allergic to until after you took a bite).

Ok. Look. I like dark I like MC’s that are twisty and a little bit different.
I don’t mind murder and I don’t mind a serial killer
I do mind that the MMC is brutal with her at all times
And it’s not like he’s obsessed with her and would do anything for her and it’s also dark and twisty
It’s more like she’s his toy, but we know nothing about him and we also don’t really like her or have any story about her or know anything about her so it’s one dimensional and a lot of darkness with no emotional attachment at all

So the spice feels forced and kind of gross and really pointless and it goes on for a long time

I can't really give you a quick summary of this book without giving away some of the plot. But I'll give it a shot. A mall Santa is a perv and gets murdered, while the mall elf he was perving on is stalked by a man she briefly met when they were both preteens.

As for the writing style, it was ROUGH at the beginning of the novella. It got better around chapter three, and I liked that the author eventually switched to the MMC's POV, so we got more insight into his thought processes.

So, I was reading this book and I gotta say, it was a bit of a rollercoaster ride. This book got me feeling all kinds of confused. At first, the writing style was kinda rough and the grammar was off, but then there were moments in the story that really made my skin crawl.



I mean, I felt creeped out by the stalker, but then he'd do something that made me feel like, "Go, stalker!" But just when I thought he might have redeemed himself, he went and did something that made me take it all back.

I only picked up this book because I saw a TikTok that made it look interesting. But now that I've read it, I feel like I was totally fooled. I gave it a two-star rating because it was just "meh" and I wouldn't even recommend it to my friends who are into kink stuff.
