Well, Double Duty Defense was a ride. Picture this: a soccer star, Greer, and a hockey player, Evander, on a blind date that goes so horribly wrong it makes front-page news. I mean, yikes! But also, kinda hilarious.
Let’s just say, these two have some serious sparks—except at first, they’re the "I-want-to-punch-you-in-the-face" kind of sparks. Their rivalry is intense, and while Evander seemed to think it was all in good fun, Greer… yeah, not so much. It got pretty heated, and at some points, I was like, “Are we really supposed to believe these two are gonna fall in love?”
But hey, opposites attract, right? That parking lot scene—chef’s kiss—was an absolute gem, and for a moment, I thought, okay, maybe this will work.
But I couldn’t really connect with Greer, though. She’s got some serious mood swings (girl needs a breather), and I didn’t feel super invested in her romance with Evander. Plus, some of the characters felt a bit immature, which made me wonder if they were really ready for a relationship. Also, Kayla? Getting forgiven at the end? Yeah, no thanks.
But if you’re looking for a clean, sweet romance with plenty of banter and a few jaw-dropping moments, this one’s worth a shot. Just don’t expect to fall head-over-heels for the characters!
