Maia Terry is a small town author from Kentucky where she lives with her husband and two amazing kids. Picking up writing at a young age, Maia loved creating a world that she could control, one where she could escape. Now, after a fourteen year hiatus, she builds on that love as she continues to use writing as an outlet. The real life aspects in her works hit home for so many, allowing them to connect on a deeper level with each character. Writing not only allowed herself to escape, but she wanted to create a world where she could give that reprieve to others as well.
Having this alternate ending was beautiful for the HEA we lacked in the original. And while it was sweet and Finn was able to get the help he truly needed and deserved, I honestly loved the original ending so much more. Call me crazy for loving the gut wrenching craziness that came from it, but the emotions I felt with SP and the ending, the tears I shed, the roller coaster of everything...it did something to me. Finn and Craven's story was hard and it pulled at my heart strings from the moment we were introduced to Craven. But don't get me wrong, I loved this ending for Skylar and the girls because they are able to continue moving forward in a new direction without Craven, and if he does decide to show up again, Finn knows his first plan of action is to seek help. Again, I loved the HEA with the alternate and for those who can't handle the heartbreak from the original, this is perfect for you! But give me all the emotions, I need them! Haha.
Maia, I love you and I love that you offered an alternate ending to Finn's story! Great job on wrapping up his story with an HEA.
Wow where to begin. So much happened in this book. I’ll start off with Skylar. She’s married to Jeff and he turned out not to be the man he thought he was. So she finally had enough and left him but he was trying to convince her to stay that he would change. She said no and left after filing for divorce. She wanted to stay in New Jersey until the divorce was finalized. She drove out of town and found a bar and that is where she met Finn. They were drinking and talking and one thing led to another. She never thought she would see him again until he walked into the restaurant she was working at months later. Everything changed for them from there. This is a must read but check the trigger warnings. I enjoyed this book but it might not be for everyone.
Finn, right hand of a mob boss, happens to see Skylar, a woman running from her husband, at his bar on the night before her divorce is final. As the story progresses sparks fly, violence is not always denied, and they may not last since they have differing opinions on what they view as right. Split Persona is a dark mafia romance read this version guarantees an ending the readers will be happy with, as opposed to the original version. I have read both versions of the book and the author is very truthful about their notes and trigger warnings so pay attention to them before reading.
Maybe I’m biased but I still like the original ending better!! I enjoyed the wreckage of my soul. This ending broke my heart and put it back together again!!
