Tradition was often coupled with Scripture in discussions with Lutherans about the sources of revelation. Though I have spent much time studying scripture, I had never really studied, let alone thought about, the question of the nature of tradition. While this book is meant for Catholics, it is nominally important for any religious perspective. I appreciate the effort of the author to carve out a constructivist-realistic view of tradition. I wasn't always sure whether the effort was entirely successful. But despite that, this book yielded much insight into how religious traditions are created and modified. I recommend it very much.
