As an indentured servant, I'm no one on Thodos III. Just another human barely scraping by, forced to work at the space station coffee shop.
But when a new gang tries to shake me down for protection I can't afford, suddenly my insignificant life is at risk.
That's when he appears - a knight in white armor offering me a deal I'm desperate enough to take. He says as long as we work together, he’ll protect me from the gang.
His gentle caresses and heated gazes promise pleasures I've never known. Yet his unpredictable fury hints at dangers untold. Have I struck a deal with a devil?
On Thodos, we all know no one escapes the clutches of the Vinduthi unscathed…
Reader, dreamer and frantic scribbler. I really do believe that love conquers all... and make terrible things for my characters to survive to prove it! (insert evil laugh here)
Alien Devil's Stake (Black Star Mates Book 3) is an intriguing addition to the series. In a bleak future where Earth has become uninhabitable, humans find themselves relegated to the lowest social strata, struggling for survival against the backdrop of formidable space vampires, other creatures and constant peril. This narrative is packed with elements that keep the reader engaged.
My curiosity was piqued from the start, compelling me to delve deeper into the unfolding story.
At the heart of the plot is Thelev, a powerful Vinduthi who is part of the ruling alien syndicate and part of the Black Star casino. This bustling space hub serves as both refuge and battleground for various interstellar species. Thelev is trying to woo a certain little human who has captured his attention.
However, the romance is quickly overshadowed by escalating tensions; the fragile peace is shattered when rogue Quilthar plots to move in as top dog and take out the Vinduthi. This sets off a cascade of events that entangle their blossoming relationship in a web of chaos and danger, leading to intense moments and unexpected alliances. As the stakes rise, readers are left eager to see how love can flourish in such tumultuous circumstances.
Solid entry to the second arc of the Vinduthi series!🔥💖🌟
Claire works is a coffee shop she's miserable, under paid and over worked. But that how humans are treated as the !lowest of the low. Her only high point is when Thelev a very sexy strong Vinduthi warrior comes in for his usual. She knows she's out of his league and she's never want to be involved with any that on the station but she can't help but be attracted to him. Thelev has been watching the human female Claire for months. He's never been so attracted to a female. He just knows he needs her to be his! While watching her finds out that a rival that has tried to scare and intimidate her. Well he will have none of that they have hurt and scared the female that belongs to him. He will destroy them a!! To keep her safe. Its a other fun take in the Vinduthi verse. If you've like the series thus far you'll enjoy this INE as well. Give it a try!🌟🌟🔥🔥💖🌟🔥🌟💖🔥🔥
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Alien Devil's Stake . I really enjoyed reading this sci-fi suspense romance. It's interesting and intriguing and definitely action packed and sexy . Claire is human and also found herself contracted as an indentured servant working in a alien coffee shop on Thodos lll . Thelev is a Vinduthi and he's part of upper management of the Black Star Casino . He's been going into Claire's place since he first saw her . He wants to have her as his mate . When some rogue Quilthar group threaten Claire Thelev steps in to protect her and the Vinduthi territory . When things escalate Thelev and his crew will do whatever it takes to protect Claire and stop the Quilthar . I recommend taking the time to read .
I loved, loved, loved it! Thelev was trying to woo the little human in the coffee shop, taking his time and letting her get to know him. But Claire knew all about the alien syndicate and wanted nothing to do with the alien mafia. So he came up with the brilliant plan to let her keep assuming he was just a grunt for the casino. But when a new gang tries to move in on their territory all bets were off, especially when they endangered Claire! The book was hot and scary with all my favorite characters popping in and out and watching another of the big guys take a fall for a human.
Claire is barely more than a slave. She’s easily intimidated, but doesn’t give up easily. She’s attracted to Thelev, but greatly underestimates his involvement where he works. Thelev belongs to the most powerful gang (and there’s lots) on Thodos station. While he knows she belongs with him, his approach is a slow but sure one, not wanting to scare her off. There’s lots of action and courting to keep the reader entertained.
I really enjoyed the flow of this one. We learn fast about Claire and how she came to work at the coffee shop. She definitely makes it know how she feels about the gangs/mobsters on the space station. Thelev is the unexpected knight to the rescue. I loved how he tries to win her heart and all the things he does. But Claire look past not just what he is but who? The romance is sweet and also dangerous.
Thelev is a great character and I love how he's been coming in to get "coffee" just to see Claire. The Under is such a terrible place and all our poor humans get stuck there when they are indentured. Claire had a pretty good attitude though. It would have been nice to hear what happened with all the rest of the shop owners and if the Vinduthi were considering them to be under their protection or not. we haven't heard the last of the Quilthar I'm sure.
I like this entire series of loveable bad guys. Tough mafia with hearts. The romance is wonderful and steamy. The more It read of these characters, the more I like them.
This sci‑fi romance hits fast and hard. One minute you’re following a woman trapped in indentured servitude, the next you’re thrown into a deadly gang conflict on a gritty space station. Enter the Vinduthi warrior—equal parts protector, temptation, and walking red flag. His touch is tender, his rage is terrifying, and the tension between them crackles like a live wire. The stakes are high, the danger is real, and every chapter leaves you wondering whether he’s her salvation or her downfall. A sharp, sexy, high‑risk read that hooks you instantly.
