One thing I always do when I truly love a book (in this case the whole series) is slowing down once I get near the ending. In this case that was the last 200 pages.

I thought Neysa was put through the ringer in the last book, well... I was wrong. It can get worse. Much worse. Especially when an old acquintance makes an unsightly re-appearance. What I really liked in the storyline was Caderyn making mistakes, which as a reader I can understand, but makes him a bit like an unbareable male. The connection between those two is tested multiple times.

This whole series is written so well and treats the (mental) challenges of the characters with so much respect and yet stays so real. This whole trilogy is an amazing to read and Another Beast's Skin trilogy finds itself on my favourites shelf!

A beautiful conclusion to the series

What a wild ride this has been.

Book 3 didn’t disappoint — it was as awesome as the other two. In this one, we get more POVs so we get to know more of the characters closer, which I really enjoyed.

Absolutely unputdownable, the whole trilogy. I got so attached to the characters, I already miss them. They will definitely be on my mind a lot. And Another Beast’s Skin is now on the list of my most favorite fantasy series.

Another Beast’s Skin is the kind of series that gets under your skin (LOL, I'll be here all day) early and keeps you hooked, and it's not because of constant spectacle, but because you actually give a damn about the people in it. By the final book, I found myself slowing down, not ready to let go.

Book three doesn’t hold back. Neysa goes through hell (again), and Caderyn... yeah, he makes some choices. Ones that make total sense for his character but still had me gritting my teeth. That’s the strength here. These characters are messy and real. You love them, you want to yell at them, sometimes both in the same scene.

There’s a quiet sharpness to the writing too. The world feels lived-in, not overly flashy, but vivid and emotional. The prose leans literary without ever dragging, and every scene feels intentional. It’s intimate fantasy done right.

I already miss this world. I already miss these characters. And I’ll be reading whatever this author puts out next, no question.
