A Mommy, vampire fanatic, Harry Potter nerd, and hopeless romantic are just a few of the things to describe the enigmatic personality of one, Lucy Ravens.
A long time author with two bestselling pen names, she has now expanded into the MM universe after she read some of her first MM rom coms and fell in love with how they can be romantic, sweet, and sexy all at once in a way contemporary romance for MF couples has somehow lost.
She hopes to bring all her quirks over to this pen name to entertain readers and make them swoon!
This is a great collection of holiday romances. The authors do a terrific job bringing the stories to life and delivering Christmas cheer.
This review is for Assasin by Iris Sweetwater The author brings a mafia romance and takes you into Andrea's life as she's been kidnapped and snowed in with her kidnapper. She paints her scenes perfectly and delivers an entertaining read.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
This book is 8 winter wonderland short stories. All the stories are really good they all bout bein snowed in and fallin in love. U have friends to lovers, just meeting, mafia, grief, and trauma. This is a very cute winter book.
This is an anthology with 8 short stories. Rating an anthology is always a bit tricky for me… each author has their own style, and not all the stories are necessarily of equal quality, after all. Nor do they all resonate with us the same way. I´ll review each separately as it´s a rather diverse mix and some were simply just not my type. Since I liked half the stories, I´ll give it a 3 stars, but it´s a good thing the stories I enjoyed most came in the second half, so that I finished on a good note…
1. The Amateur Player
The story was a short slice of life. Not bad, the plot worked, but I felt it lacked feelings at times. A little rough on the edges, and the formatting frustrated me because there were no indents for the paragraphs which made it difficult for me to read. I had a hard time connecting with the characters. They did feel natural and had a story that made sense, though. I´m also not sure I understand the connection between the story and the title, but that´s a minor problem.
2. Frosted Dreams
The second sentence gave me pause. I had to read it 3 times, slowly, in order to make sense of it. The writing style tripped me, and it was difficult for me to read. It might just be that I´m not in tune with the style. The paragraphs not being indented made it more difficult for my eyes to focus on the long sentences too… They kept looking for a break in the text. I feel bad, but I could not finish reading it.
3. Assassin
This one is a Mafia romance, and those are one of the very few romance types of stories that I don´t read as a rule. Not my type at all. But I tried to keep an open mind as I read, since just because I don´t like something doesn´t mean it´s not written well. The action was fine, and there was plenty enough conflict, but the dialogues didn´t hold my attention for the most part. I found them a little forced and too agnsty.
4. A Snowy Seduction
The first story I enjoyed reading in this anthology. It had feeling and characters I was able to connect with. I liked the transition between the first scene and the author trying to write. It was well done, even if for a moment, I thought the whole scene with Callum´s car sliding off the road had been part of Lia´s writing. Maybe a scene break would have helped to ward off any confusion. I felt the same way throughout the story, wishing for a break in the text every time there was a change of POV. I had a good chuckle at Lia trying to implement the tropes lol.
5. Healing Hearts on the Slopes
Another one I enjoyed. I liked the premise and the themes this story dealt with, though I feel things developed too quickly and lacked the emotions that should have come with them. But it being a shorter piece, it obviously couldn´t expand and delve as deep as it could have. The characters were likeable and fit well together, yet because of the distance the writing took, it was difficult for me to connect with them more. It was as if they were recounting their problems, but not in a way that grabs you, if that makes any sense. So while it was a good story and I enjoyed it, I wished it had more depth, more feeling. If everything in this story was given room to breathe, I feel it could easily turn into a great book of its own.
And a big thank you for making long-distance relationship a thing that a character is willing to go through in order to not lose a relationship! I see so many books where the characters flatly refuse to even consider it, as if the alternative of never seeing each other again was better lol, that this was refreshing. I´ve been on a romance binge this year, and this is the first time I see a character actually consider it as a possibility. If you really care about someone enough, you make it work. And, in this day and age, it´s much easier than it was 30 years when letters were snail mail, phone calls across the ocean prohibitive, and we had no video calls. ^^; I loved the epilogue too.
6. Frost Smitten
I´m going to start by saying that I didn´t like the Sophia at all. When she said she tried to turn on the charm in chapter 5, I had an extremely hard time imagining what charm that might be, because she´d been - and still was - so unpleasant that I couldn´t see any redeeming qualities in her at all. It was nice to see Blake take her down a few pegs lol. Her sudden change of attitude, smiling left and right, giving the little girl a hug, when they reached his farm struck me as off from the way her character had been portrayed until then… not gradual enough. She was better when staying at the farm, and I found it easier to like her, but I still couldn´t reconcile the 2 temperaments in such a short time. I liked Lily and Blake, though.
And I can´t see a horse travel 10 miles quickly as was implied… If the horse is fit and used to it, maybe an hour… though that depends on how deep the snow is too. Deeper snow will slow the horse down. Of course, I´m not sure what Sophia meant when she says ‟faster than I thought it would be” but, it didn´t feel realistic to me. I´m also surprised she didn´t need to warm up more when they finally got inside the house, especially if her clothes needed drying…
The ending was a bit abrupt, but it was a nice twist.
7. Just Once More
BnB rental mix up… fun and original. It was a nice, easy read. I enjoyed it. It was well written and flowed nicely. The characters were relatable and likeable, and I loved Thomas´s outlook on how to run the family business. And their talk about her first kiss was so sweet! Things moved a little fast, but I guess it´s a bit like a fairy tale in a way, so it was fine. ^^;
8. Saving Vera
Another good one, even if it felt more like a sort of biography or journal of what they saw, did and felt… And I´m sorta of two minds about Mac´s choice. But it´s a personal choice, and if it was what he felt was best for him. It does make sense in a way, since he lost his hearing when he was a child.
However, Vera being failed to learn sign language? Sorry, what? No… you can´t say you´ve failed if you´ve not even tried, or if you´ve only been trying for a few days. It´s like any language… you learn it and you practice it until you remember. Everyone can learn it. It just takes times. Practice makes perfect. And with a deaf man nearby the practice with, she has no excuse not to be able to learn it, if she actually means to. She remembered the sign for sleep the one time, she understood the meaning easily enough. She can learn the rest too.

I am a huge Sai Marie Johnson fan - and that is what brought me to this book. A.L. Knuckles' partnering up with her proved to be a wise manuever because FROSTED DREAMS is a FIRE story of beautiful triumph and two very unique characters.
As a POC, seeing that Isha was Indian American and a logger was refreshing, but this is ever better when you come to learn that Anabel is Japanese American Biracial. I love that there is so much representation and that this collection shows that with not just Sai and A.L's story, but the inclusion of LGBTQIA characters and stories who find romance during the winter and holidays was wonderful.
This is a must-read collection and I think it will appeal to many - warming hearts of a broad collection of people and touching all those looking for a spark of faith in humanity, love and romance.

Eight stories, and they (mostly) delivered. As is always the case with collections like these, some books will speak to you more than others. I didn’t really care for the story with the mafia, called Assassin, but that’s just a personal preference of mine, not that it was bad, because it really wasn’t. A few of the men were a tad too alpha for me, but I loved the Christmas vibes running through all these stories. Definitely festive and I did find a few new-to-me authors whom I’ll be following!
This is absolutely one of the best holiday romance box sets I have read recently. Each book is amazing and romantic and sucks you in from the beginning. So, grab a blanket a warm cup of tea and sit back and enjoy reading these wonderful books. They will put you not only in the holiday spirit but warm your heart due to the romance.

Sweet meets melty hot. A cinnamon roll of wonder for the wintertime - this collection has such a beautiful and diverse array of stories, characters and all of it makes you fall in love with the magic of the holidays and people finding love even during the most trying of times. It's the coziest of anthologies for a blizzard and a cup of hot chocolate. LOVED it. Ooey-gooey sweet meets HOT and SPICY in the best of ways!
so many ways I just loved the many different ways love can find you (not only around christmas time, but this time of year always holds a special magic). This collection gave me the opportunity to get to know new authors while getting into the right mood for christmas. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Snowy days around Christmas sounds like a dream to me.... why you ask? I've never seen snow in my life.
These stories made me feel like I was the woman in them experiencing the high's & low's. I felt connected to them & thoroughly loved the Assassin story. The others I had different feelings for them. I really can’t explain why, they just didn’t click to me. Sorry authors.
I didn't care for this book. The characters seemed very young and immature. The formating made it difficult to read. The majority of the stories were not overly engaging, and the writing wasn't strong enough to carry through a solid romance in the short number of pages available. *I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
These amazing authors have come together to bring us a wonderful selection of Holiday Themed stories. Each story pulls us into the lives of the characters and does not let go.

This is a really good collection of holiday romances. The collection contains eight short stories where the characters are hit by a storm and forced to bunker down together. The characters are likable as well as the plots. I enjoyed all of them and enjoyed how each of their stories developed.
A bit of everything. Enjoyable snuggly stories to warm the heart on a winter’s day. A nice varied collection of the same theme. Well written romance reads I read a free copy from Storyorigin and my review is voluntary and my own words
I really enjoyed this anthology of stories based around being snowed in. Each story was so unique. I enjoyed them all. It was a great way to get lost in the holiday.
