Whisper - Mafia romance - Forced Proximity - Touch her & 💀 - Suspense/Thriller Vibes - Captors to lovers / RH type story - Spice 🌶️ (3/5)
MFC: Sophia MMC: Mateo, Grayson, Victor & Jase
This is book 3 in the series. It is NOT a standalone and the others MUST be read beforehand. This book contains POV from Sophia, Teo, Grayson, Jace & the Viper. The plot has definitely gotten a lot more thrilling. The killer is still after Sophia and has an influencer working for him. The influencer is basically out to ruin Sophia’s life. She leaks their locations multiple times which leads to them being attacked at some points. The story gets interesting whenever Sophia thinks the influencer is manipulating her by using her “dead parents”. Victor gets badly injured in this book and the gang is starting to feel the pressure of the killer bearing down on them. Each book has ended on a damn cliffhanger. This cliffhanger is exposing the killer.
Again, I’ve said this in every review & will continue to say it: NEEDS a male/female narrator.

I am very glad that there was a little more action and more going on in this book, as opposed to the last one. That being said, there are so many weird gaps here and there that I was hoping for even more.
Editing-wise, there was a big problem. 33% in, there is an abrupt cutoff to a sentence/paragraph. It just stops, and a new one begins without much of a clue what we lost. Did nobody proofread this at all?
For someone so possessive, who nearly threw them both out when Grayson and Sofia kissed, he seemed to throw her at the other 2 pretty quickly. He seems to get angry when she is with anyone else, even after he tells her that she can. He makes no sense, here. I did finally tag this one as RH, since she did finally get with a 3rd person, but the previous two books were not RH, in my opinion.
When questioning Miranda, it was a huge leap to suspect her dad from a super vague description. I had to go back a page and re-read it to see if I had somehow missed something. I get that the author was wanting to build up to her dad being the Viper, but this was a huge jump that didn't make sense. How many people in the world match that description? Tons! Not to mention, her whole infatuation with Jace didn't even go anywhere, even when they were together. After that one moment where she was staring at his picture, it never popped up again. There is too much in these books that is just not needed and doesn't go anywhere.
While I do like more action and things going on, this is getting kindof ridiculous. First that there was another person that the Strangler worked for/with was one thing. Now that it ends up being her dad, though, is so far-fetched that it just doesn't even make sense. Now to mention, all the resources he supposedly has and yet he lives in a cabin in the Everglades. Things just don't seem to add up. Plus, for the guys being in this super dangerous gang... nothing has really been shown that they are dangerous or part of a gang. Just that the author keeps telling us this.
I'll go ahead and continue to the next book, but I hope the ridiculousness tones down a bit.

📚Review~ Whisper (The Mercy Blades Book 3) 🖋Author~ Clarissa Bright, Narrator: Michael Knight 🖋Features: Dark, Suspense, Serial Killer ⭐️Rating: 5/5
Mercy Blades is the most powerful gang in Orlando, Florida. These four dangerous men are its original members. And, they are each committed to keeping Sofia protected from a vicious serial killer.
The suspense continues in Whisper. The Mercy Blades are running out of time. Recovering from a recent hit to their club and the safety of Sofia as well as her brother, the Mercy Blades are faced with another imminent threat. A serial killer based in the Florida Everglades. Tension and emotions are on edge as relationships escalate between Sofia, Teo, and the other men. It certainly gets hot in South Florida!
Whisper is the 3rd book in the series. The Audio edition with Michael Knight is fantastic! He has an incredible voice that pulled me in completely. I recommend reading this series in order. Quiet is the first book; Echo is the second.
I get so nervous everytime they split up because I'm scared that something bad will happen. Then it does. I really hope the Viper gets caught soon. The poor blades need a nap.
I love that we still get POVs from the characters who aren't the main crew. I'm hoping Victor gets his turn to uh entertain Sofia in Abyss.
I am loving this series!!
I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my honest review.
Jace gives off SUCH golden retriever energy and I'm loving it. You get to see a more in depth look at the sandy blonde tech savvy Blade. The chemistry between Sofia and him is off. The. Freaking. Charts! After some edge of your seat holding, the Viper FINALLY has a name (Holy plot twist, because I did NOT see that one coming).
I need Abyss. I need answers. I need Sofia to claim the last remaining Blade. I seriously cannot wait! 😱🖤🖤
These characters are brutal. There’s no softness to them until they are with their woman. This book has everything you need for hours of entertainment. I love how natural this relationship builds and the feelings grow. A fantastic performance.
Whisper by Clarissa Bright A great story that will have you on the edge of your seat. Suspense, family drama, murder, kidnapping and romance all in one book. Can’t wait to see how this will end. Michael Knight did a wonderful job with the narrative.
