Rate this book
Winter 1947/48: the guns have fallen silent, but a new war has begun – one fought with secrets.

John Sedo, once an elite soldier, now serves as a secret agent in the CIA. His first mission sends him deep into Europe, where the victors fight over the new borders. Truth, deception, betrayal: all currencies in the spy's fight for survival.

The heavy drapes of the Iron Curtain pull John toward his darkness within, each step leading him into a descent beyond redemption. Then he meets Allison Lakehill. Her light and beauty may become his salvation – or sink him into the abyss.

Caught between desire and duty, conscience and command, John must navigate a landscape where every decision comes with a price. A price that could cost him everything.

A suspenseful blend of espionage, moral conflict and impossible love set at the dawn of the Cold War.

I was born in Aalborg, Denmark in 1980 and am currently working as an airline captain for a large European carrier. My flying career began in 2006 and eventually took me to Berlin, Germany where I have lived since 2007 and still do.

I have had a dream of writing novels for well over twenty years, but it was only in 2023 that I finally went through with it. 'Cold Subterfuge'was the first in the series and 'Cold Redemption' the next.

The third novel in the series is expected in May/June 2025.

Thrilling romance

This story is so well written that nothing can come close to it. A flawless narration with the right amount of romance foreshadowed behind a taught spy thriller. The dialogues are crisp and carry the weight of the situation. The premise is of the yesteryears yet the author has done a fabulous job of keeping it real. As a reader I was at the edge with the secretive CIA operations and the sweet romance that flowered with the adventurous plotline.

Although a bittersweet ending, it is how life is. And I still enjoyed the story to the fullest. I would have loved for John and Allison to make it. But what can you do when duty calls and serving the country is above love. A Love that takes a special place in our hearts but will remain unfinished. I am crying.😭

Cool spy thriller!

This book was very much a spy thriller. I loved the romance part also. At least it gave me some hope… The espionage was very detailed and believable.
