Sammy self esteem was very low. She always thought no one cares her for and she was everyone second choice.
Zak had always saw Sammy as his best friends little sister until she wasn’t. Even though she was the twin to his best friend.
They started to sneak around because you never mess with the sister of your best friend. She wanted Zak to tell her brother about them but he was afraid and he also thought he wasn’t good enough for her. He started pulling away.
After graduation Sammy met a man who doted on her and treated her like she was a queen. When they found out she was pregnant they got engaged and married quickly right after. When the baby was born is when the physical, mental, and sexual abuse started. She made a plan and it was to escape with her baby but that plan took six years.
Now she is on the run with her daughter from her husband the man she referred to as The Devil. He will do anything to get her back. She is getting help when she suspects the devil is getting close and she ends up in a small town when the only person who ever had her heart, Zak, ended up there at the same time. Now Zak is determined to figured out her story and will never let her go.
I really enjoyed this book like all of Aelicia’s books. Always pulling at my heart strings.

Absolutely loved reading Sammy and Zak’s story. This was packed full of twists, turns and amazing reveals that I didn’t see coming. I was hooked from start to finish. No spoilers here, you just need to read this one. Highly recommend! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I just loved Sammy and Zac’s story. Sammy is a woman with low self esteem but yet she’s trying to survive and she has been planning for her and her cute little daughter’s getaway from her deranged psychopath husband. She finally left The devil but always on the run as he is looking for her. Sammy meet Zac the boy she always loved. He helps them out. I just loved this book. I’ve read all the books from this relatively new author and I will continue to read her books. Can’t wait for the one.
