Sometimes, finding your mate is only half the battle.
It’s a good thing I love a fight.

Finn

To wolves, our mates are sacred. Despite the life I’ve led, I never gave up hope of finding her.

After walking away from the “family business,” I’m forced to seek asylum with The Leviathan, the king of all wolves.

I’m ready for the quiet life: looking for my mate and staying out of trouble.

What I don’t expect? Is The Leviathan’s little sister, Kathleen Alden, to be the one. My mate. She’s younger, infuriating, passionate, and fits me perfectly in every way. I see our future clearly: mated, married, and a yard full of pups.

However, her adamant refusal to accept our bond has me fighting through every one of her defenses. She has no idea what she’s up against or the lengths I’ll go to keep her.

Lena

Griffin O’Leary may be strong, confident, and easy on the eyes, but I will never call him my mate. Ever. Not even his panty-melting Irish accent or alpha dominant vibes will… no. Nope. Not happening. It can’t.

First, because I don’t want a mate. Fated or otherwise.

And second, because there’s too much on the line to be tempted. My life’s work in shifter reproductive health is on the cusp of a breakthrough.

Was on the cusp.

Until an unfortunate… disruption derails my research. Now Finn and I are unceremoniously stuck together in a stalemate.

I was pretty sure I would come out victorious in the war of mating marks and matrimony. Except my wolf sides with Finn.

That little traitor.

It’s me versus Finn and my wolf. Will it be wedding bells or battle cries? There’s only one way to find out.

Haze is the second book in The Ardelean Bloodline series and the first part in a duet. An ongoing plot connects each book in the series, and this story does end on a cliffhanger of sorts. Each book in The Ardelean Bloodline will need to be read in order. There are open-door, explicit scenes as well as colorful language not intended for young readers. Don’t let the fluffy puppy on the cover deceive you… he bites.

Grab a warm beverage and your fluffiest blanket, because this shifter romance brings all the cozy vibes.

This is book two in the Ardelean Bloodline series and follows Lena, Cade (from book one)'s sister and pack Alpha Female. She's aloof, studious, and keeps her heart and secrets close to her chest. Her determination to keep everyone at arm's length wavers when in enters Finn, the ex-enforcer for an Irish pack. And surprise surprise, he's her mate.

We follow the two after they meet and the back and forth of Finn trying his best to court and reassure Lena that he won't leave her for any reason and Lena's relentless self doubt. I do quite enjoy Finn as a hero, I'm a big fan of the soft dom with a firm hand. Lena on the other hand, I see where she's coming from and why she's the way she is, but I am desperate for some character development.

I thought their dom/sub play would aid in her healing, help her open up and be more trusting, but it feels like with every scene, Finn falls further while she's holding the story back with her hesitations. I'm not saying we should have a case of magic dick/orgasms suddenly cure her of issues, but the way this was, it got a touch repetitive. I still felt for her but I was ultimately frustrated with her.

Outside of that, it's clear that the author has put a lot of thought and care into this series. The politics on the domestic and international front have been nicely developed since the introduction; all the characters are distinct and have their own thing going on; the world is fully fleshed out and quite robust.

Overall, there's a lot going on in this installment but it serves to be a nice way to escape for a while. This ends in a cliffhanger and I'm excited where this goes next and to see the two develop their relationship further.

Rating 3.5 rounded up to 4.

I received a free copy of this book from the author, however all thoughts are my own.

I was completely overstimulated and anxious this weekend so I was so glad I had Haze to keep me company. What a book.

I loved Lena in book one, she was sassy and serious... I just have a thing for bitchy, no nonsense females. Getting to know her better in her own book was very interesting. She has so many layers. Finding out why the Alden brothers are so protective of her was so beautiful. And Lena figuring things out about herself and starting to accept help and communicate better, so beautiful.

I didn't like Finn... Don't come for me. I just didn't connect to him at all. In the last couple of pages I started to like him a bit better, but overall I think he's slightly too demanding, too overbearing. I struggle with very dominant men making decisions for a woman, I just don't feel good when reading that. It's a small trigger, but it's there. So I struggled with liking Finn.

I loved seeing Cade and Thalia and Deacon pop up. Even some other family members. Drama ensued. I loved it. Would definitely like to see more family dynamics. I like how Finn behaves with everyone else, just not with Lena, so he would be more easy to like if we have more family scenes.

Let's talk about the smut. I know y'all love it. And with a BDSM promise, we absolutely need to talk about the smut in this book. It was hot. It was delicious. I'm not into the submissive and extremely dominant Dominant so it made it a little harder to completely get swept up in the scenes. Collaring is a big nope for me so Finn pushing for it time and time again had me feeling icky. But yeah, the smut is flaming hot, but check your triggers!

So yes, I had some issues with this book. The writing is amazing, it could use a bit more plot and little less smut, the wolves and their nature could be a little more on the forefront, but the banter was top notch, the smut was hot, the family was beautiful... I did like the first half of the book more than the second. And I liked Cade and Thalia in Smoke a bit more... But Sarah's writing pulls me in and never let's to so she gets an extra star just for that.

Soooo counting all pros and cons and some such I come to four fluffy stars.
And Sarah.. HOW DARE YOU END IT THAT WAY, THAT'S RUDE. GIMME BLAZE RIGHT NOW.

This book was provided to me by the author and Flying Pig PR.

The second installment of the Ardelean Bloodline series is here and it’s taking no prisoners.

Lena is so feisty and stubborn. But underneath it all has a lot of emotional damage and a yearning to be wanted. The only way she knows how to protect herself is to push everyone away.

Finn the sexy Irish ex enforcer who knocks Lena for a loop. He’s always wanted his fated mate and now he’s found her but boy does Lena make him work for it!

These two come with all the feels. The ups and downs and everything in between. And can we talk about the spice… 🥵

That cliffy! 👀

Go pick up this series!

I devoured this book in one sitting! I loved this book!!! This is the 2nd book in the series. However, this follows Lena, and her story will continue into book 3.

Thank you so much to Sarah and Unalive Promotions for giving me the opportunity to ARC read for you. I really appreciate it. All opinions are my own 😊

Lena is a beautiful young wolf who loves her independence and freedom of choice, especially with how she was brought up and who also happens to have a massive secret. Due to her secret, she is very reserved and doesn't allow many people behind her highly constructed walls.

At her brothers wedding, Lena is suddenly drawn to a scent, and that scent happens to be Finn, ex-enforcer for the Irish Mafia and her mate. Finn is instantly drawn to Lena's scent. However, Finn can't find her due to so many scents overlapping.

The two finally meet when Finn is drawn to Lena's scent in a bar. The two chat, and it's obvious that Lena has to be careful with Finn. She knows he is her mate, and she can't let anyone know her secret. Finn definitely has his work cut out for him....

I loved this book so much!!! Their relationship is real, and they go through real struggles. I love them both, but I especially love Lena. She is so strong but also uniquely herself, and It was beautiful to see her start working alongside her wolf after struggling for so long. It was also great to see her slowly let Finn in. I really want to see what Lena is truly capable of in her next book because I think she doesn't realise the power she has.

Finn is amazing. He truly cares for Lena and wants only the best for his mate. I can't wait to see what he does in book 3.

This family is amazing, I really want to see Deacon and Dinah get a story, hopefully, because I feel like their stories would also be really interesting to read about.

This story just sucks you in. The ending was like OMFG what the heck is going on????

It's so worth the read!!! Add to your TBR now!!!!

With a secret Lena will do anything to keep, a mate will complicate things, but a heat of the moment decision has it harder to resist. Doesn’t stop Lena trying though, so it’s a good thing Finn is more than equipped to take on her bratty behaviour.

“𝙃𝙚’𝙨 𝙖 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙄 𝙘𝙧𝙖𝙫𝙚.”

As soon as I knew the vibe was Dominant alpha. Bratty submissive. I literally lost track of time with how invested I became in this book. And that was only the beginning, there’s so much more that pulls you the more you read.

“𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙚. 𝙄 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙪𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙮.”

Finn in dominant mode, should come with a fire warning, no exaggeration. His dirty talk is hot with two T’s kind of HOTT 🥵 “good girl” will always be my cryptonite and this man says it A LOT, pair that with his TLC and I’m nothing but a heart eyes puddle by the end 😍💦 … and the end had me doubling back, book two can not come soon enough 😮

“𝙄 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙤𝙠𝙚 𝙪𝙥. 𝙄’𝙢 𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙄 𝙩𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙄 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙗𝙚. “

Go ahead and bite me and turn me because I found my daddy and his name is Finn! Hot damn did this man shoot up the list for top book boyfriends!

But let me back up a bit… if you haven’t read Smoke (book 1), you’ll want to do that. While Smoke is a different couple, this is an interconnected series and there’s a lot of info to take in! Sarah does an absolutely fantastic job with world building and laying down a thorough character base, so you don’t want to miss getting to know this whole crazy crew from the start!

Lena who we meet in book 1 (Cade’s younger sister) finally meets her match: Finn. This snarky, no BS, don’t-need-no-man girl is finally able to start peeling back her layers and finding out it’s ok to be herself with the help of Finn. She has dedicated her whole life to science and research, but now she gets to explore a true personal connection.

Do we see Lena absolutely become complaint after meeting Finn: hell no! This girl fights their bond tooth and nail! This poor girl has had such poor thoughts drilled into her head that she can’t accept the love that’s right in front of her. Not that the mountain of Irish man doesn’t try.

Finn is perfection. Even though he was previously the mob enforcer, he is so calm and perceptive to Lena’s needs, or his “Kathleen”, aka “Faolan”. He wants to be her everything. And this dirty talking, sweet as sin, hunk of Irish wolf sure as hell had me ready to wear his collar!

Just when their bond is starting to make headway, tragedy strikes. Lena and Finn’s story will continue over into book 3: Blaze and I cannot wait to see Finn raise hell for his woman!

If you like shifter/PNR, dom/sub, cnc, fated mates… give this a read!!

An Enthralling Continuation of the Ardelean Bloodline Series!

I recently had the pleasure of diving into “Haze” by Sarah Jaeger, the second installment in the Ardelean Bloodline series, and I must say, it deserves every bit of a 5-star review. This book continues the captivating saga of shifters, love, and destiny in a way that had me hooked from start to finish.

The story opens with Finn, a character who embodies strength, determination, and unwavering loyalty. His quest for his mate, Kathleen Alden, adds an irresistible layer of suspense to the narrative. Kathleen, on the other hand, is a fierce, independent woman who is committed to her life’s work. Their dynamic is electric, and the author beautifully captures the tension between them.

What I found particularly commendable is the depth of character development throughout the book. Finn’s devotion to Lena is nothing short of swoon-worthy, yet he maintains his rugged edge. Lena’s journey of self-discovery is a vital aspect of the story, and the author handles it with great care and sensitivity.

Sarah Jaeger skillfully weaves the ongoing plot of the series into “Haze,” leaving readers eager for more. The cliffhanger ending leaves you hanging by a thread, eager to dive into the next book. This series truly needs to be read in order to fully appreciate the intricate storyline.

In conclusion, “Haze” is a thrilling addition to the Ardelean Bloodline series. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions, a tale of love and self-discovery, and a tantalizing continuation of the overarching narrative. If you’re a fan of shifter romance with strong characters and an enthralling storyline, do yourself a favor and pick up this book. You won’t be able to put it down!

I loved this! There’s just something about Sarah’s writing that draws me in and I end up finishing the book in one sitting.

I wasn’t sure what Lena was going to be like in her own story. When we met her in Smoke, she was fairly closed off and you could tell she was complicated with a capital C. We really got to delve into her mindset in this book and it all makes so much sense why she is the way she is. It also gave us even more background on the general Ardelean childhood and boy, anyone would be messed up from that!

I enjoyed Lena and Finn together. Obviously their mating is not a smooth transition but I really do think he’s the perfect mate for her. They just need to get out of their own way a little bit so they can blend their jagged pieces together.

The spice was impeccable, as per usual with Sarah’s books. It wasn’t too in your face, there was still plenty of plot to be had, but we definitely got a show. I know not everyone will enjoy the Dom/sub lifestyle or understand it but it really seems to work well for them.

The cliffhanger is torture! Damn Sarah for that! I know Blaze is going to be freaking epic but I’m glad we don’t have long to wait because I reeeeeally need to know what happens next and if they get their shiz sorted 😂

Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good wolf shifter romance book with both spice and substance. It has fated mates, found family, and a heart-wrenching story that is, thankfully, not over yet.

I don’t think I even realized how much I needed this book. This is the second book by Sarah Jaeger I've read, and I can promise you it won't be my last. This is the perfect curl up with your cozy, fuzzy and warm PJs, get yourself a cup of tea or a pumpkin spiced latte and your favorite reading blanket and settle in for ALL the feels.

I’m so glad Lena got her own book. In smoke we get a small glimpse into who she is, and it doesn’t take long to know there's a lot going on under that closed off hard exterior. I feel I can relate to Lena in so many ways when it comes to her struggle with anxiety, always feeling like people are going to leave and keeping people at a distance. It’s like no matter what someone says or how much they try and convince you, it’s like you're always waiting for the other shoe to drop. It’s been a long time since I felt so connected to a character, I feel like Sarah captured that inner struggle with anxiety so beautifully.

Finn is such a swoon worthy character. He’s a rough around the edges, ex mafia enforce who has been searching for years for his fated mate, and as luck would have it, he finds her. It’s just not who he expected.

Sarah leaves us with an epic cliffhanger, and I can't wait till book 3 comes out and we get to see more of Lena and Finn.

This is book #2 in The Ardelean Bloodline Series and part 1 of a duet.

Dedication: To anyone who thought they had to prove themselves. You didn’t then and you don’t now.

Finn left Ireland and the family business behind and is now in America when he catches the scent of his mate…he never expected it to be Lena, the Ardelean Alpha Female and sister to Cade, The Leviathan. The thing is, she doesn’t want a mate and wants to focus on her work…but she is also hiding something. Finn isn’t deterred and when she ends up in danger he will do anything to keep her safe…but she still doesn’t want to be bonded even though her wolf sides with Finn.

I loved Lena and Finn! Lena is strong and feisty and confident…and barely holding it together. She has spent her entire life fighting to keep her secret. I loved how sassy she is. Oh Finn…yes he came on a little strong (to be fair his wolf immediately recognized Lena as their mate) but he really won me over! He was all in with Lena. He was so thoughtful and caring and was willing to do anything to keep her safe…and no spoilers but we find out some things about his family and his past that really make these two a perfect match.

"I don't know who has left and hurt you like this, but I'm not going anywhere.”

I loved how Finn and Lena would have their “Ten seconds of honesty” with each other. He gets her to open up and start to trust him. I really loved Finn with her family! This ends on a cliffhanger!

This is book 2 of the Ardelean Bloodline Series. It is also book one of the ‘Aze Duet.

If you have read Smoke, book one of the series, do so now! This series is about wolf shifters and their struggles to being outed to the humans (this is the bigger plot line) but each book(s) follows a different couple and their personal struggles of coming together as a couple.

This duet follows Lena and Finn. Lena is the younger sister of the pack alpha, Cade, and she has been hiding in plain site for so long she doesn’t know which part of her is truly her and what part is the mask she wears for everyone else. Lena’s struggles are raw and real, even if she’s a wolf, and you feel it.

Finn has been excommunicated from the Irish mafia and comes to the states to start over and find his mate. Who knew it would be the strong and stubborn Lena. Finn is quiet, but calculating and he had to be when he was in the mafia. His love for Lena shows in the way he cares for her as a mate and her dom. (Sarah even got me to have feelings while reading this book 😱)

Absolutely love this world that Sarah transports us to and I cannot want to find out what happens in Blaze, because you know we got left hanging on a cliffy!! Grab Haze today or start the series with Smoke, just do it already!!

So first I want to say this book will always have a special place in my heart. I started reading this book while sitting in the ER with my Mom. I read this book while sitting in my mom’s hospital bed. It helped keep me sane and helped my mind stay occupied while I felt like I was going to lose it. So first and foremost thank you @author.sarahjaeger

Lena & Finn’s story was EVERYTHING! I knew I liked Lena when I read Smoke but Haze made me LOVE her! I saw parts of myself in her. Her sassiness and brattiness was so similar to my own at times. Lol Finn was just PERFECT! The way he always knew exactly what Lena needed was beyond swoon worthy. The way he was able to take responsibility when he made her angry or feel some kind of way was beautiful. The one thing I disliked was that the book ended. I wanted SOOOO much more! I can’t wait for Blaze to come out next month. It needs to come FAST!!

P.S. Brayden needs to go kick rocks barefoot!

Just like Smoke this one was another big one! Even so I absolutely loved this book! Lena's story maybe my favorite out of the siblings so far. Because of that I am so happy that Haze is considered book two in the series but it's book one of two of Lena and Finn's story. There so much to unpack in this book emotionally. It was an up and down roller coaster ride throughout their journey but it's only half started and I can't wait to see what troubles certain characters bring to the table for them. It does leave off on a cliffhanger.

This journey is about self love and acceptance and also the growth of allowing her walls to come down to trust someone outside Cade, Deacon, and Thalia. Lena is strong on the outside but battles her own demons and her wolf on the inside. Deacon, Cade, Thalia, and the scattered family come together to try to help her along her journey while Finn showing up throws a wrench into everything she's ever know. She's hiding herself and keeping a big secret!! But she ain't the only one holding a possible life changing secret in this story.....

This series has me in a major chokehold, and the ending of Haze had me flipping the pages back and forth, hoping that it wasn’t truly over. Sarah did an amazing job portraying the emotions of the characters, you can just feel it in your heart and in your gut.

The depth of Lena’s character had me on the verge of tears so many times, I think she is so relatable to many people. Her pain and internal struggles are palpable, I just love her character. Finn really is perfect for her. His dominance combined with his tender care of his faolan is just chef’s kiss.

I actually love the entire family of characters, it was fun being back with Cade, Thalia and Deacon. And just as with Lena, I really like Dinah and her part in the story as well. There are so many things within the story that need to be solved, my brain is going on so many different directions.

If you loved Smoke, you’re going to practically inhale this book too. I’m so glad that Finn and Lena’s story continues with the next book. I can’t wait to see how the rest of their story unfolds!

Sarah has created a very rich world and her characters are layered, fallible, and relatable.

I liked that we got to know each character and were able to understand their decisions and ways of thinking. Even if I didn’t agree with the decisions that they made, it all made sense why they made those choices or acted in certain ways.

Finn was a (naughty) saint. He was a good guy underneath many complex layers and so devoted to his mate. Lena frustrated me at times, and I got where she was coming from, but I really hope she grows enough in the next book so the relationship feels more equal.

The extended members of the pack and the found-family angle kept me engaged with the story and invested enough that I want to commit to the series and read each character’s own story.

Looking forward to reading the second book in the duet after that cliffy, and seeing Finn and Lena figure things out.

AHHH! Sara Jaeger has done it again. I could not put the book down. Lena is just a sweet girl, strong in all aspects, in need of saving, but above all, STUBBORN AF. Her story is one to just want to hold her, cry, and tell her everything will be alright. Finn is just a magical of a man. A gentle giant indeed. Every bone of him yells alpha but when it comes to Lena, it’s a passion and caring like no other. We had Draga Mea for Book 1 and now we have Faolan. Still swooning.

The cliffhanger on this one leaves you flipping the pages like, “What? That’s it? There’s no way!”

The spice on this one is off the charts. Every detail was written in such a way that had me gasping for air.

Finn is everything Lena needed. Though I hope we learn more from Finn in the next book because I feel there is still so much more to learn.

I am still recovering from this book-hangover and am impatiently waiting for the next book.

"Fried cheese doesn't give orgasms."

I mean this kinda banter between Finn and Lena was amazing!!!

To start off the sexual tension between these two was what I was looking for 100%. Where book one was a little softer we are given ALL the smut here.

Lena was told at a young age to suppress whom she truly is and this has affected her throughout her entire life (totally could relate to that within her). Lena puts on this strong side for everyone around her while on the inside she is hurting. This goes till Finn comes tries to break down these walls that Lena has built. Finn wants to show her that she is everything and more than he could imagine having a mate.

Plus throw in Finn being a true Alpha male and her being a born submissive creates one heck of the Dom/Sub relationship through the whole book!! Can you say YUMMY!!!!

During the story we are given my things that draw the drama and are left wondering what will happen next...

I really don’t know how to hype this series enough. Smoke was the hook that I really didn’t know if anybody was gonna be able to top Cade for me.

But FINN, mmmmmmmmm Finn is getting close. This family has ISSUES and the writing is so extraordinary that you are sucked into every minute of the drama, the pain, the pleasure and the struggles.

Lena is so well written your definitely going to have your moments where you want to shake her, or hug her.
Finn is the *chefs kiss* of alphahole that you love to hate and hate to love at times. But be warned he’s probably going to be your next obsession.

I wouldn’t call this a fluffy happy read by any stretch of the imagination… but it is worth the read. This series will have you needing to know what’s next. I’m hooked on this family.

The worst part of this book. Is that it ends on a cliffhanger. Lena and Finn will live rent free in my mind till I know what happens.

Oh, how I loved being back in this world! I instantly loved Lena in book one, and it was so sweet to get to know her in this book. And her hunk of a man, wow!
Finn O’Leary is fed up with his brother—Alpha wolf in Ireland—when he becomes more and more savage. Stepping down from his position as his second in command, Finn is forced to go to America to win favor with The Leviathan to make a place with another pack. While he has always seen himself eventually setting down and finding his one true mate, he doesn’t expect to find her so soon.
I adore this family so much. Seeing the gang get to know Finn was an adventure. Like the first book, this one did not have a dull moment and even added an extra dose of spice. I love how Sarah writes fated mates; she keeps that push-and-pull energy very well balanced to where you don’t lose interest.
I can’t wait to get my hands on the second book!
This book has trigger warnings; also, you must read book one first.

I absolutely loved reading Lena and Finn’s story! Lena spoke to the deep spots of my soul, while also healing up parts that I needed. Their story was spicy, healing, and so lovely. The way Sarah Jaeger writes is wonderful, it’s easy to fall in love with her characters and the story she put out for her readers. The author allows her characters to experience real life as they would within their age, struggles, and traumas. Her books are an easy read simply because of how thorough and smooth her writing is.

Devouring this book was my first priority because I simply couldn’t wait to see Lena’s journey. Her hard exterior leads to so much more especially when Finn steps into the scene.

She’s so so much more than you could expect her to be and Lena is easily a favorite FMC mine. She hold a special spot in my heart and I’m so glad Sarah wrote her.

This is the second book in the Ardelean Bloodline series and the first book in the ‘Aze duology. We originally meet Lena in Smoke (book 1 which should be read first), where we learn that she is strong willed, defiant and full of passion.

We are introduced to Finn, a strong Alpha dominant from Ireland who is set in his ways. He left the family business in hopes to join The Leviathan and his pack while never giving up on finding his mate. He knows that Lena is his, as he is hers, but he never imagined how hard he’d have to fight to convince her of their future together.

Lena works in STEM, specifically shifter reproductive health, but when an experiment leads to damaging results, she must rely on her family to help her through it. But Lena has a secret. It has shaped her into who she is but has put her at odds with her wolf, especially when it comes to Finn. But Finn has never been someone to back down from a fight. There’s no way Finn will lose Lena when he knows they are meant for each other. And there’s no way Lena will give in because she doesn’t want a mate, even a fated one.

I LOVE Lena!! I know some felt differently after meeting her in Smoke, but not me. She is a strong and passionate person, determined to live her life the way SHE wants. I respect the hell out of that!

I had trouble warming up to Finn at first, but he changed my mind quicker than I expected. I don’t want to give anything away bc his growth is something you should experience in the moment!

Once again, Sarah opened up this world and pulled me in like only a great writer can do. These books are exciting and also comforting. You become invested in each character’s life like you’re part of the family. And the spice…… the spice never disappoints 🥵

I also loved getting more Cade, Thalia and Deacon! (not to mention more of the other family members too!)

Pls rd CWs prior to starting the series. Sarah does a great job including detailed info in order to protect the reader’s mental health.

I HIGHLY recommend this book and series!!

Thank you for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Exciting continuation!

It is so hard to leave a review without spoilers. But, this book picks up about 6 months after Smoke ends. This book is all about Lena and wow, it does not disappoint. You meet Lena in Smoke, and she is grumpy and intense. Getting to see inside her life and inside her head feels like a privilege. Then there is smoking hot ex-enforcer Finn. He is the perfect fit for Lena, but she is a tough cookie to crack, and a whole bunch of chaos is constantly in the way.
I cried 2 times in this book, laughed out loud a plenty, and got so angry at some very specific characters more times than I could keep track of.
This is a story of love and trauma and never feeling like you are enough. There is drama and political problems arising right and left. Basically, it's a ride.

Haze
By Sarah Jaeger
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

What can I say! I loved this book! Sarah has become a friend, so that makes it so much more special reading her work, especially when I love it!!

I know I said this before in my last review of Smoke, but these books give me so any feels from my shifter romance Wattpad era, and I love it!!

Sarah’s storytelling and fantasy world that she’s created is so unique and simply brilliant that it has you begging for more!!

Lena and Finn’s story is something that I didn’t know I needed, and now I can’t stop thinking about it - the only thing I didn’t like about it was the end, and realising I’d have to wait for more!! I fell in love with these characters so easily and for totally different reasons! Lena is such a badass, and so relatable - especially for a shifter! Her struggles and self doubt but her need to hide it from everyone and pretend everything is okay, is something I feel so many people can relate to, I know I did! Then in comes Finn, not to show her that he saves the day, but that she can do it all on her own, and he’ll love and support her through everything, no matter what, and no matter how many times Lena’s self doubt niggles its way in - she’s worth it just as she is. Also the way only he calls her Kathleen - *chefs kiss* 🥵

I also have never been able to imagine a characters accent more. I can just hear that sexy Irish accent every time Finn speaks, and my goodness is that just totally swoon worthy!

Need I say more? If you haven’t read smoke yet, what are you doing… go do it, you won’t regret that decision!! That only means you can get on and start this epic two part journey!

The second book in the Adrelean Bloodline Series.

I have been salivating at the chance to learn more about Lena since book one (SMOKE).

Look not everyone is going to like her but she's real. She's full of darkness. In a way, a lot of women are in real life. She goes through the shit and I'm here for it. She just wants to be loved for her. She wants to be accepted for her. She doesn't want to open herself up just to be broken.

Finn is dominating. He's hard to like but impossible to hate. The way he cares for Lena is MORE than anyone else has. He notices her tells, he pays f*cking attention and opens her up. I honestly think he's the perfect mate for her. Sarah did an amazing job building a relationship that makes sense.

The book was full of plot, mysteries, and the perfect amount of smexy time.

I'm pissed off at Sarah for the cliff hanger but I know she'll be a good girl ;) and make it up to us.

“Haze” is the second book in Sarah Jaeger’s The Ardelean Bloodline series, and it’s the first part of Finn and Lena’s story. I thought this book was absolutely incredible; the world and the characters were both very complex. This book was super angsty and ended on a huge cliffhanger; it also had me hooked from start to finish. Finn was such a swoon worthy character for a variety of reasons, and I loved how he always took care of Lena, even when she fought him on it. Since Lena is a POV character in this one, I’ve loved getting to know her in much deeper detail. She’s intelligent, strong, and fierce, but she doesn’t seem to know it. I also loved her snarky comebacks. I’m very much so looking forward to the next one!

I didn't think any book would compare to Smoke for me because I loved it that much [insert buzzer noise] wrong-o. I was HOOKED from the start, I read it in less than 2 days, I couldn't stop.

Finn, I mean.. what else needs to be said, Finn is *chefs kiss* he's loving, protective, and all around a sweetheart. Lena is so relatable because you feel for her and everything she is going through but you wanna shake her at the same time🤣 this story captivated me and I fell for the characters and their story. The family dynamic is beyond complicated.

This book leaves off on a cliffhanger but luckily book three is already out so I can dive in and not be tortured by waiting to find out what happens.

Second installment of the Ardelean Bloodline series!

Finn and Lena’s story is one you will feel all the emotions in. The genuine and raw emotions that come with healing and having a supportive partner as well as the self discovery coming into your own. You’re back in the amazing world of the Ardelean pack with your favorites Thalia and Cade along with the rest of the pack and pack dynamics. Let me tell you I read this book in a day and couldn’t put it down. The spice was amazing. Strong BDSM and written SO well. It all was so real and honest. I laughed and cried with the characters and already have my chapters to reread and swoon over. You aren’t going to miss this one!

💕 This is so exciting! 💕

Prepare yourself for the next exciting instalments of The Ardelean Bloodline Series. "Haze" by Sarah Jaeger is the second book in the series. It is also the beginning of the 'Aze Duet Series

Haze opens with a reflection on Kathleen Alden's early years. Now known as Lena she is a feisty female wolf who appears to argue for the sake of arguing, likes to be in control of her world, and fiercely protects her family at any cost. She works in shifter health research and is a fabulous artist.

Lena is the little sister to the King of the Wolves, The Leviathan. However, he will introduce himself as Cade, and his mate as Thalia. (You will find their story in "Smoke" - Book 1 of The Ardelean Bloodline Series).

The pack holds close to the traditions of a shifter pack, hence the solution to problems will regularly not have a politically correct outcome.

Jaegar does not pull any punches when describing the characters' experiences with anxiety, depression, substance abuse and more. Please check your trigger warnings if you are not ready for a world mirroring our own experiences, and the alternative unconventional but effective practices to assist recovery.

Enter Finn. Lena's unwanted fated mate.  Let the fireworks begin! Oh my! With his powerful alpha personality and gorgeous accent, he has Lena's traitorous she-wolf wanting to keep him and Lena is far from amused. Lena keeps repeating, "It's not going to happen". Lucky for her Finn is just as determined to keep her as she is for him to be gone. He certainly has a challenge on his hands convincing her he is not leaving her any time ever. Let's hope he doesn't give up.

The book ends with a surprise that is yet to be explained. Thankfully "Blaze",  the second part of the 'Aze Duet Series and the third book in The Ardelean Bloodline Series is due to be released within the month.

If you love paranormal romance, are up for the shenanigans of a challenging she-wolf, and prefer your fated mates alpha wolves, then this is most definitely the book for you!

What are you waiting for?

💕 Happy reading! 💕
