The Earth is in a more and more poor state. Storms, fires and earthquakes are some of the problems the diminishing population is facing. Food shortage and rising temperatures make life even more difficult. Clothes become less and less an option, because of the heat and the lack of manufacturing possibilities. When a group of military space scouts return to Earth, they bring news of an amazing find. A giant alien space station with no life on board. Despite that fact, the station comes with a drawback. The military want to get a group of volunteers together to 'fix' that drawback, and make the space station habitable for many thousands of people. Will they manage to get the group together? And is there more than just that one drawback to deal with?Find out in this installment of Nude in Space 3 – The Station.
Walker tells a good story, but is too detailed and wordy...editing down about 25% would make it better. His other works flow better and are more reader friendly. I understand promoting better care for the planet... Been doing that for decades... But his vision is a bit darker than needed. There is hope for this world... If more adopted nude living, that alone would save a lot of resources.
I thought that PZ Walker's book Gaea was his best work to date ... Then this one arrived. Another Eco disaster derived story, that follows a goup of pioneers blazing a trail for humanity to follow away from a dying Earth. Brilliant story telling in the author's unique style.
The story was good, showing the possibility that if aliens do exist, how we might be able to coexist with them. The main issue i had with this story was grammatical errors. Which surprised me, as this author is usually better with their writing.
I wasn’t sure about this for a couple chapters but once the earthlings got to The Station, the story came alive and made it difficult to put down. Too soon the story ended.
