Find out what the High Council have been up to in the year following the Final War in this short, clean, and bubbly novella...This is the fourth book in the QOTD series. The order of the Queen of The Dome (Cade & Deianira)2. Brother of the King Consort (Cassian and Salem Pt.1)3. King of Outlaws (Cassian & Salem Pt.2)4. The High Council (Novella)While this book is not an essential part of the QOTD storyline, it cannot be read as a stand-alone, so it is highly recommended that you read the first book in the series so that you can understand the world, magic system, and character backstories.
Fun little epilogue I thought it was so cute. The only thing is that I wish Dons thing/condition was elaborated on bc I was so confused but it probably will be in his book😊 Also sad there wasn’t more of a heart to heart w devin and emori😞 I hope he fully heals. I like Cade and deianira more but still a little bitter… excited abt the next book👏

I LOVED THIS BOOK. I feel like it really fleshed out all the characters to the brim and i think that was definitely one of the perks of the first person POV. All the characters were going through so much and I LOVED reading cade, cass, and devins baby arc they were going through that was hilarious. I feel for all the characters especially Lia, Devin, and Aiko cause they were going through a fuck ton of stuff 😭 Deianiras relationship with emori is so girl. Deianira was just that bitch in the best way possible she ate up everyone. Anyway enough of the queen, I loved this book so much, all the characters were so well thought out. This book i feel like is def a segway for the next book as there is a lot of unanswered questions but like not in a edged way but like in a "I cant wait for the newest book im gonna piss myself when it comes out" kinda way. Amazing book amizah served a feast as usual and this bitch is definitely hungry for more

When I think of extra novellas for books, I think of happy stories of what the characters are doing after the end or in between books. I think of filler chapters to help me understand better what happened in the main series. Not this. This novella made the whole situation even worse. It felt so many things unanswered, created even more questions and made me dislike characters I liked before. It showed us an insight on a lot of characters sure but some of the characters were more infuriating than enjoyable. Like Cassian and Salem’s part was not what I wanted. It basically showed their kid making fun of Cassian for not being as smart as them and their mom. Like what even was that? Not a fan, low-key ruined the series for me.

Honestly? It’s been so long since I’ve read the series (even though I reread the last one) that I’ve forgotten a lot of pouts and side plots😭 even some characters, I was like….huh😭
why? just why? this series didn't need all this. Why cant Devin just be happy already? It's not like I wont carry on reading when the other books get released, it's just not really necessary.

It left so many questions and just felt unfinished.
