Quinn and Tony had been friends for several years by the time we caught up to them in the first book of the Krimson Empire series, Krimson Run . I was always so curious about how they first met so I was very excited when the author gave us this prequel novella!
And let me just say, the first meeting was so cute, with Tony being all awkward and stuff! Right from the beginning of the series I shipped Tony and Quinn so hard, but Quinn was already married to Reggie. But let me just say, that guy is an absolute dick. Even all those years before Krimson Run , in this novella... he was the worst! I cannot believe she stayed with him for so long when she could’ve been with Tony instead.
But I really enjoyed this novella! In the last book of the series, Krimson Flare , Quinn and Tony talk a little bit about how they met, but in this novella, we get the whole story with Adrian (whom we met in Krimson Flare ). It was very interesting and quite suspenseful! Plus, I just love the banter between the characters. This was nice and short, had a bit of action, and we got to see firsthand how Quinn and Tony became friends. It was great!
