February 18, 2024Note to self: the h loses her virginity to the H. Then, they go their separate ways for 9 years. They both move on with other people. I don’t enjoy separation with my couples so this is not for me.

Absolutely loving this series by Mackenzy Fox, but I think Tag is now my favorite! Great story that moves quickly with tons of chemistry and hot smexy times. I love how grumpy Tag is, lol, and Luna just drives him crazy. They have a great, complex backstory and it drives all the tension between them. Tag is the ultimate protector and Luna is his greatest treasure, he'll do anything to keep her safe. The story is told with a couple of flashbacks, but not too many that it pulled you out of the current storyline.
Tag is the 5th book in the NOLA Rebels MC. It absolutely can be read as a standalone, but the series has an overarching plot line that plays out in all the books.

I am late to the party and have not read the other books in this series. As is the case, I didn't go into this with any background knowledge about Tag or the club. I wasn't sure how I would like a taboo step-sibling romance, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good this was. I was all in on Tag and Luna's story. Their chemistry is off the charts! Tag is the classic grumpy, possessive, alpha male MMC who fights his feelings and doesn't know how to communicate. Luna is feisty and stubborn and harbors hurt from past relationships. I love that Luna is a curvy FMC, and Tag makes sure she knows she is beautiful every chance he gets. When he said "repeat after me", I think I fell in love. The tension between them pulled me into their drama, and I was not satisfied until they finally gave in to their feelings for each other. This is expected, but the spice was *chef's kiss*.
This book is well-written and easy to follow, even with the flashbacks. Since I am new to this series, I appreciated learning more about how Tag and Luna's relationship began. I am still trying to understand the conflict with the Devils, but I assume I will get caught up by reading the rest of the series. I get the hype, and Mackenzy Fox did not disappoint.

I received a copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review. Another captivating addition to the NOLA Rebels MC series! This book owned me from the first page. I binged this in a day. Tag and Luna are SOOOOO GOOD together! These two have some serious history that they’ve both been running from. Now that Luna has moved back after being away, her and Tag can’t seem to avoid one another. Tag doesn’t want to admit his feelings for her, but the harder they try to stay away from one another, the more they keep colliding.
Luna is such a strong female character, she is independent and feisty! She doesn’t hold back her feelings and never takes any nonsense or excuses from Tag. Her strong will knows exactly how to put him in his place and has no qualms about calling him out on his behavior. She knows what she wants and what she deserves, and she’ll settle for nothing less.
These two have some seriously intense chemistry. The SPICE scenes are so so good ! These two together create some SERIOUS HEAT.
This was a great storyline and I loved these two so much.

Tag is yet another killer book in the NOLA Rebels MC series and tells the story of Luna and Tag. This book has some of my favourite tropes, and when I say I was hooked from the very beginning, I meant it. Forbidden love, step-siblings, enemies to lovers, and second chances—just to name a few, need I say anymore? Tag and Luna, just wow. The tension and chemistry between these two are INSANE and will have you captivated the entire time! It was angsty, suspenseful, and just downright hot, if you ask me. I LOVE this series and cannot wait for the next book!

I had a heck of a time warming up to Tag. I know Luna pushed him, but his views on relationships and women was not endearing. The author warned us that he was not warm and fuzzy, and she delivered.
But...I applaud him for realizing his jaded views and working to correct them in the end. We always knew he protected what was his, but getting him to admit Luna was his in allllll the ways was like pulling teeth. She knew exactly how to hold her ground, though, and I admire that about her.

Tag and Luna have been at odds since they were teens. But what lies beneath there conflict is something much more. Slowly they finally come together through all the odds that are working against them.
This is a angsty edition to the NOLA Rebels series. Part past and part present this story is not to be missed.
“Best spy ever. You want someone to know the ins and outs of anything, send Manny in,” I muse.
I really hope Manny gets his own book or at least his own HEA. He’s such a riot.

This was a great addition to the NOLA storyline. I was worried I wouldn’t like Tag much, but Mackenzy won me over.
Tag is clearly grumpy and has some issues from his past and while it is typical of bikers to have a lack of respect for women generally the ol’ ladies and family are usually shown some loyalty and love but Tag seems to have lacked showing that in the prior books in this series. He actually calls them all 'bitches'. I wondered if he could redeem his shitty behavior and he does thanks to Mackenzy's writing.
Luna has also been around in the series and she’s full of fire and sass. She’s not one to be walked all over and she has no fear of the brothers. But this story reveals more to Luna. She may have a tough outer shell, but Mackenzy shows us her other side. Her slightly bruised and battered side. The side that Tag had a part in breaking, but he didn’t cause all of her trouble.
The two have been nothing but confrontational since Luna returned to NOLA. Neither tells their story before now and it was not what I expected but it was a great idea. I’m not sure I’ve seen it done in the MC world before.
I thought their love story blended in well with what was going on in the club with the other MC. Neither overshadowed nor held the story back. There were a few moments that I thought were dragged out a little more than needed and others that didn’t quite get enough. That’s why I only gave it 4 stars instead of the full 5. Regardless of that though, this was a good MC story.

Tag is frustrated with Luna’s return. All the time she’s been away he’s never forgotten her. He has tried to forget about her but nothing works. Their past is messy and complicated and there is no getting around what stands in their way. He just has to keep his distance.
'Women make you soft. And Luna... she's my kryptonite.'
Luna is trying to not pine for Tag. He’s not the boy or the man she used to know. Tag’s past changed him and their messy relationship hasn’t helped. Somehow they have to figure out how to be around each other and just move on. But Tag knows just how to push her buttons.
She’s so damn frustrating and she drives him crazy. Not just with her attitude and her mouth but with her body and mind. There is so much about her he likes and he wants her like no one before, but she’s the one he can’t have.
"You're either in or you're out. And if you're out, it's for real this time. We both know we can't keep doing this. Before long, one of us will want more or one of us will want out."
"I'll never want out, I know that now. Don't make me beg, woman."
When there is no use denying what they have and what they want it will come down to whether they are willing to face what stands in their way and not let it stop them from being happy.
"You. Are. Mine. If anyone fuckin' upsets you or tries to take what's mine, I won't just fuckin' kill them, princess. I will destroy everything they hold dear."

ARC BOOK REVIEW
I honestly love Mackenzy's books so much and I just love reading the Nola Rebels MC, seeing things from the other characters perspectives is just so cool when you see how other characters take in their actions and behaviours. I have always been intrigued with Tag, I feel that he is such a big misunderstood teddy bear deep down, and the only person to bring that out was Luna, who happens to be his step-sister!!
I weirdly love reading books with that trope. It's so fun and taboo that you can't help but enjoy it. Luna and Tag had been in love with each other for many many years but during their college years everything was kinda ruined before it really started but once they ended up rekindling everything back up it was so so good.
This book is just so spicy, the two of them just fit perfectly together and I swear it was like every other chapter - SPICE! And damn was it so enjoyable to read. I love these characters so much together their story was so interesting to read.
The book had so much suspense with romance entwined in it. I had no idea what would happen throughout the entirety of the book. When we finally find out the truth behind what happened in the book before, I was definitely shocked, to say the least.
I cant wait to see Tag and Luna in the next book and hopefully more in the Nola Rebels MC series, I would just love to see how their life together and out and if we may eventually get children from them ad they would just be perfect parents in my eyes. Mackenzy is so talented in what she writes, and I can only see her books getting better and better!
I honestly love Mackenzy's books so much and I just love reading the Nola Rebels MC, seeing things from the other characters perspectives is just so cool when you see how other characters take in their actions and behaviours. I have always been intrigued with Tag, I feel that he is such a big misunderstood teddy bear deep down, and the only person to bring that out was Luna, who happens to be his step-sister!!
I weirdly love reading books with that trope. It's so fun and taboo that you can't help but enjoy it. Luna and Tag had been in love with each other for many many years but during their college years everything was kinda ruined before it really started but once they ended up rekindling everything back up it was so so good.
This book is just so spicy, the two of them just fit perfectly together and I swear it was like every other chapter - SPICE! And damn was it so enjoyable to read. I love these characters so much together their story was so interesting to read.
The book had so much suspense with romance entwined in it. I had no idea what would happen throughout the entirety of the book. When we finally find out the truth behind what happened in the book before, I was definitely shocked, to say the least.

Now Tag really got embedded into my heart with his & Lunas story. This could definitely be read as a standalone, but to fully understand the back story with the club I definitely suggest reading the books ahead of this one & don’t worry they’re happy endings & some lovely spice. Tag & Luna have history before her working for Rock, which is they are step siblings that met in their older teen years when their parents married. This is obviously the reason they have never pushed the attraction towards each other because they didn’t know if they could handle the backlash from others looking in, so when Tag decides to reject Luna after such an intimate moment, Luna decides to go away for awhile to find herself, which also leads to trouble. Now when she comes back it’s like a wrecking ball to Tag because he can’t stop thinking about her & how she pushes all his spots with her smart mouth, so he does the only rational thing he worships her in the bedroom for all the time they have missed together. The two of them are electric together & holy hotness does Tag have a body built like a beast he is, but of course he does with being the Sergeant of Arms for the MC & being a retired NFL player. Luna is tough as nails to put up with her awful father, but thank the MC gods that he was dealt with & as well as his little lap dog Brian. Those last few chapters felt like a weight because they are getting closer to stopping this whole mess. Overall I’m obsessed with these two & I’m having trouble picking my favorite characters now, so I want them all. I can’t wait to see how Rock handles Aspyn, I’ll be counting down the days.

Tag was definitely the angstiest read of the series so far, with lots of heartbreak and emotion in the early pages as the author uses flashbacks to show the interactions between Tag and Luna that led to their present-day relationship. My heart hurts for Luna's character. She was so relatable as a plus-size character who has been hurt by every man she has ever loved—not just romantically but by her own father too—and it's affected her and her confidence. She may portray that she's unbothered by being snarky and argumentative, but she's trying to protect herself.
While the story has a taboo element with Luna and Tag being step-siblings, they didn't meet until their late teens, and so while the majority of people would see nothing wrong with their relationship, it's the fear of people's opinions that has kept them fighting their feelings for so long. I love that the author used characters like Harlem to talk some sense into Tag, and Luna had some help from others too to see that what they are doing isn't a bad thing.
I loved the growth of Tag's character; he went from grunting and being mean to actually being open and honest about emotions and feelings. Added to the fact that we see a secret side to him that is protective and caring, it really shows a new side to him. I'm impressed with how the author can always manage to turn my opinion around from thinking these men are complete asses to being really likeable.
There's still drama and danger from the Devil's in this book, and I'm glad that the storyline continued with some interesting developments and connections that I wasn't expecting, as well as some glimpses into what to expect from the next book and Rock's story.

These two. These two had my pulling my hair out while reading. There were times that I had to put my kindle down because I wanted to yell so much at the both of them. They were both equals parts frustrating.
Tag was stubborn and Luna didn't want to listen to reason. Tag was thinking he was doing the right thing but of course that's never the case. I was so glad when they both say reason and finally sat down and worked through their issues.
Also Luna's dad deserved so much more than what he got. He should have had the same fate as Brian.
I really love how the mystery and drama with Devils Ink MC/ Forger is brought through with each book and intertwined with all the characters. Even more details come to light revolving them and I can't wait to see what else is found out in the rest of the series.

Tag and Luna have known eachother since they were 15/16, when their parents became a thing.
Luna is a fierce, feisty, independent Woman, with a snappy comeback for everything, especially when Tag is concerned. She has some troubles from the past haunting her, including a lot of tension with her Dad, who never gave Luna the time of day.
Tag is the sergent at Arms for the NOLA Rebels and through the rest of the series we have been following the tension between him and Luna. Tag has some serious trust issues since his mom ran out on him only to come back for his money. And he keeps Luna at arms length because he wants to keep her safe. Safe from him, from others thoughts of them and from the danger surrounding the MC.
Even though we still follow the Rebels Journey to get to the bottom of the situation with the Devils, it does not effect Tag and Lunas story as much as some of the other books.

Mackenzy kept us waiting for Tag but was so worth it. That man definitely heated the pages up with his mouth.
This was Off Limits, Step Siblings, Second Chance and MC Romance.
We have met Tag in previous books and he always comes across grumpy and dark. But he protects his loved ones with his life. Man is big and strong.
Luna was a lost soul in a way. She was Curvy and definitely knew how to fight back with words. Both of them have a past but because of their relationship Tag pushed her away.
Now years after being awol Luna is back in his life and working for the Nola Rebels MC. So no avoiding each other.
The Forger story is still running through this book and as the story progresses Luna might be more involved than she knows!!!!.
Loved the twist and the suspense. It kept the story interesting. Then we were treated to a very jealous and over protective Tag,absolutely loved it.
When Luna finally snapped his last patience it was it. He couldn't help himself. That man and the things he says woah 🥵.
The spice was extra hot in this book. He handled her curves very well!!
Soo much happens and I think you should read it to find out. I feel like I would give too much away if I talk about it. It will be worth it.
Now Rock is next and his back story is already interesting.

OMG! Tag and Luna’s story was so freaking hot and delicious that I was sure I was going to explode from the insane heat these two were giving off! It was an intense and crazy rollercoaster ride that I never wanted to end!
Luna is quite the fiery and fierce woman. She has a snarky, sassy and spitfire attitude/personality and I loved this about her. She doesn’t take any crap especially from her stepbrother Tag!
Tag is such a grumpy man with everyone, but DAMN is he seriously sexy with all his grumpiness. This man has such a filthy filthy mouth on him that holy moly he could probably talk the panties off anyone!
The back and forth banter between Luna and Tag was filled with explosive emotions, snarky comebacks, witty comments, and flirty sexual innuendos. The fiery tension wafting between them was going to combust into a raging inferno that they were never going to put out! These two were just so HOT together that they had my whole body aching for relief!
The insane hate sex contained within the pages of this amazing story was the best smut I have read in a while! It was intense, angry, passionate and utterly delicious!
I absolutely loved this story! It was fantastic, thrilling and highly entertaining from start to finish! And it was filled with action, suspense, emotional turmoil, drama, and smoking hot sex! Plus the twists and turns throughout had me on the edge of my seat right to the very end!

Tag was rough around the edges and really found a place where he fit after loosing everything after his football injury. Luna is determined to stand on her own and make a name for herself on her own. Little did she know that Tag was helping her do just that because he would do anything to keep her safe. Luna feeling stuck. She wants to keep doing what makes her happy and working towards making a name for herself. But her dad calls and is wanting her to marry the man who broke her heart. She knows she can’t be numb for her whole life with a man who doesn’t treat her the way Tag does. Tag and the Rebels uncover more about the Devils MC with the help of Luna’s ex. Tag and Luna fight hard against their attraction for one another but the biggest thing holding them back is what others and their parents will think since they are step siblings. Overall I found this book to be a let down for me. I have really loved NOLA Rebels series but this one just didn’t fit or do it for me it was just lacking something that the other books had that I didn’t find in this one.

I can’t say enough how much I loved Luna! Normally it’s the guys who stand out the most to me, but this time Luna had me loving her instantly! She was lippy, sassy, feisty, strong, straightforward & wasn’t afraid to speak up & not be influenced or blackmailed. She was absolutely amazing & didn’t take any of Tag’s bs. And I loved watching him squirm w/how she got under his skin. I loved when he tried telling her what NOT to wear! She was his addiction that he tried fighting against. And how she handled Brian- she was the boss queen! Her & Tag were beyond hot, they were dynamite together! I loved & laughed at how after having AMAZINGLY HOT sex, they could still find something to bicker about!
Another thing I enjoyed was seeing Manny! I love his humor, & he’s really become one of my favorite characters in this series. And can I just say how cool Luna’s mom was in supporting them!
One thing you can ALWAYS count on w/Mackenzy is how incredibly hot she writes her sex scenes! This was another fantastic book in the NOLA Rebels series & I can’t wait for Rock and Aspyn next!

Luna is an independent, sassy FMC who has had it rough in the men department. She’s been burned one too many times and is slow to trust.
Tag is a quiet, possessive, protective giant. Though Luna drives him crazy, he just wants what is best for her.
They’ve had chemistry since they were young and they can’t stay away from each other anymore.
THOUGHTS 💭
🏍️ I don’t always love flashbacks in books, but this is a PERFECT way to use them! Luna and Tag grew up together for a few years in their late teens and their history is so important to their “now.”
🏍️ I love Tag taking care of what’s his. I’m a feminist to my very core, but this “she’s mine and I’ll take care of her” vibe always gets me.
🏍️ I’ve loved watching this story progress; each book of this series gets us closer (hopefully) to a resolution with the Devils.

Tag is the fifth book in the NOLA Rebels MC - New Orleans series by Mackenzy Fox. It stars Tag and Luna as our leading couple who have been secretly pining for each other since their teenage years and a nonstart during college that they've both been running from.
Tag is the MC's Sergeant at Arms and is broody, protective, and stubborn especially when Luna refuses to accept his help so he takes matters into his own hands to give her the assistance she needs.
Luna has been burnt by previous relationships but she has grown into a fiercely independent and feisty woman from those experiences.
There is so much chemistry and banter between the two of them even though at times you just want to yell at them and tell them to wake up and see what's in front of them.
There are twists and turns that will keep you guessing and a reveal that I didn't see coming. I had some theories but none of them turned out right.
I'm excited to see what happens next in this series and I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't already!

Book Review: Tag by Mackenzy Fox
Oh my oh my Tag!!! 🥵 I really loved this book well this whole series… damn it was so good! From the first few pages you are mesmerized. I think and this is a big thing because like I said I love this series but I think he is my favorite! He does so so much for her without even speaking a word of it! He protects her, builds her confidence in herself, does kind things opposite of his outward appearance. He is so rough on the exterior but inside he is a huge teddy bear 🧸 marshmallow for her. I really loved the enemies to lovers relationship and how they both fight each other and struggle with being honest with each other. Luna has so much trauma and trust issues and when she overcomes them and stands up for herself it’s epic! Then when they finally break it is so wonderful and hot. I really loved that more of the overall plot of the other gang is woven into this story and we get one step closer to figuring out where they are hiding out.

I read TAG as a standalone, but it is part of a series and is book # 5 of NOLA Rebels.
TAG is a second chance romance with light taboo between the two main characters. Tag and Luna have an enemies to lovers relationship and while both are complete opposite of each other, their chemistry is undeniable.
Tag is reluctant to accept his relationship with Luna so her does what he thinks is best in order to protecter her... He ends up hurting her feelings and saying thing he did not mean. But all that ends up working and Luna leaves. But after years she is back... will he be able to resist the pull he feels for her? Will she give her heart to him ones again?
I really enjoyed Luna's character she's curvy but feisty and stubborn and capable of getting what she wants and what she thinks she deserves never settling for less!
Let's not forget the spice you will get, will you dare to read. 😉
