Middle grade stories are a favorite of mine, offering a perfect escape from stress. Recently, I had the pleasure of reading "Sasquatch" by Roxanne Seubert, a captivating tale. The story follows Connor, who is troubled by his parents' impending divorce. He hopes they will reconcile, but the decision to separate has already been made, and he and his sister Penny are caught in the middle.

During a camping trip, Connor brings his dog Dax along. When Dax goes missing, Connor is determined to find him. Despite searching, they have to pause for the night, sleeping in their bags to resume the search in the morning. The following morning, Penny mentions seeing a bear at night, prompting their father, Joe Townsend, to contact Ranger Rick.

Ranger Rick has been dealing with reports of a mysterious wild animal in the area. He collects some red hair samples and takes them to Jones, a local hermit. Jones suggests the hairs might belong to a Yowie, Yeti, or Sasquatch. The question looms: is there really a Sasquatch at Money Creek Campground? And what will Connor and Penny do?

The book is expertly paced and kept me engrossed throughout. The author's descriptive writing brought the campsite to life, making me feel as if I were there. If you're looking for a thrilling read without any dull moments, this book is a great choice.

Enjoy a fast-paced, middle-grade adventure, Sasquatch by Roxanne Seubert. Set in the misty forests of the Pacific Northwest, the story follows 13-year-old Connor whose life is unraveling due to his parents’ divorce. While on a camping trip, it’s a catastrophe when his dear puppy, Dax, goes missing. What begins as a desperate search for his lost pet quickly spirals into something very unexpected. Connor discovers there’s a real live Bigfoot on the loose, and he shares an extraordinary face-to-face encounter with the legendary Sasquatch.
With the help of his best friend Darius and his spirited younger sister Penny, Connor embarks on a mission that blends a heartfelt search for Dax, with hunting for the mysterious forest creature, and balancing emotional family dynamics. The trio must navigate the dangers of the wilderness, secret spots in the forest, and also a shadowy group of U.S. Marshals who seem to have their own plans for the hide-and-seek creature.
This Sasquatch adventure is both thrilling and tender, weaving themes of loyalty, courage, and thoughtful choices into a story about growing up and chasing legends. This book is a great read for those who enjoy stories with mystery, emotional depth, a touch of the supernatural, wonderful animals, and showcasing kids who are heroes.

Sasquatch penned by the author Roxanne Seubert is an interesting story for middle grade readers. The story features Connor and his sister Penny. He has a golden retriever puppy named Dax. Connor loves going on campouts with his dad. It has been at least eight years since he began coming to Money Creek campground.

When Connor, Penny and their dad went for the camping this time, Connor noticed that Dax was missing. They began searching for him but couldn't find him anywhere. According to Penny, a giant bear-like creature was coming to her, when Dax chased the creature and they both went far away. Meanwhile their dad was warned by the Ranger about a wild animal disturbing many campsites.

Connor and Penny are finding excuses to stay at the campsite and to keep looking for Dax but the dangerous creature could be there and their dad wants them to go home with him. Read this story to find out more about this strange creature.

This is a great story for middle grade readers. The language used in the book is smooth and I enjoyed every bit of this story. The story is so gripping that I couldn't put this book away without finishing it. Roxanne should write more middle grade stories.

Question of the Day: Do you think creatures like the Yowie, Yeti, or Sasquatch really exist?

"Sasquatch" is an enthralling book that gripped me from the very beginning to the end. The plot revolves around the legendary Sasquatch, rumored to haunt the Money Creek campground. Many dismiss Yeti and Sasquatch as mere folklore.

Ranger Rick has received multiple reports of a mysterious animal in the woods. Seeking assistance from a hermit named Jones, Rick learns about strange markings on trees. Around the same time, campers have reported their food being raided. Meanwhile, Connor and Penny are camping with their dad. During their search for their missing dog, Dax, Connor stumbles upon a large footprint. When the family returns home without Dax, Connor confides in his friend Darius, who offers to help. Dive into this story to discover what adventures await the kids.

I highly recommend this book for middle grade readers. It’s an engaging and enjoyable read. I particularly loved the characters of Connor and Penny. The plot is refreshing and unique, and it even inspired me to think about going camping. It's an excellent read for children aged 7-18.

Connor has cherished his camping trips with his dad since he was five years old, always returning to Money Creek Campground. Now, at thirteen, he finds himself constantly shadowed by his ten-year-old sister, Penny who doesn't give him alone time with his dad.

As the year draws to a close, Connor faces the impending finalization of his parents' divorce. This change means he won't be able to go camping alone with his dad anymore. On a brighter note, he is thrilled with his new golden retriever puppy, Dax. However, during their latest camping trip, Dax went missing. While searching for him, Connor's dad learns of a wild animal causing havoc among the campsites. How will Connor and his friends tackle this challenge?

This story is sure to captivate middle grade readers with its engaging plot. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's compelling and difficult to put down. Connor's character is instantly appealing and truly inspiring. The story moves at a great pace, ensuring readers won't be disappointed.

Have you ever come across the legend of Bigfoot?

In this book, author Roxanne delves into the myth of Sasquatch, also known as Bigfoot or Yeti. We meet Connor, a charming character who loves camping trips with his father. This year, however, might be their last trip together, as his parents are planning to separate. Connor yearns for the days when his parents weren't constantly at odds.

During their recent camping trip, Connor discovers that his golden retriever puppy, Dax, has gone missing. Despite searching with his dad and sister, Penny, they fail to find him.

Ultimately, Connor's dad decides to take the kids home. At school, Connor confides in his friend Darius, who quickly offers to help. Before long, Darius and Connor find themselves back at Money Creek Campground.

Roxanne maintains suspense throughout the story, and her impressive vocabulary adds depth to the narrative. The engaging plot and captivating setting make for an excellent read. I'm eager to explore more works by this author.

The narrative centers on a thirteen-year-old boy named Connor, his friend Darius, and his sister Penny. I believe that this book was written with a middle schooler in mind. I won a copy of the book as a giveaway, and decided to read it before passing it along.
I enjoyed the story! The characters were realistic, the storyline was interesting, and I think it would teach a child some valuable life lessons. I will definitely pass it along to someone more age appropriate without any qualms about its content.
