The average person regards a celestial event like a total eclipse of the sun with awe. Not so, Carla King, owner of the strip club temporarily rechristened "Eclipse" in Boise, Idaho. She uses the cover of the celestial event and the allure of her beauty to put together a gang of thieves to rob a nearby bank while the police are focused on traffic control in the paths of totality. While having an affair with the bank's president to entice him into helping with the robbery, she puts together a gang of experienced armed robbers to execute the heist. Who would have ever guessed that something could go wrong? A few glitches ensue and before long the gang members are at each other's throats. Who will survive and who will get the money? Or will the FBI just swoop in and arrest them all? The crime novel, Boise Eclipse, is loaded with sizzling dialogue, sex, violence, romance, betrayal, and surprise. A great read that will keep you engaged to the last word.

This book mixes different characters and plots, including Carla King, Martin and Mary Petrolo, and Ryan Hunter, each dealing with their own issues.
Carla King, also known as Contessa Francesca Rugati, is a key character. She is smart and uses her skills to live a luxury life under a new name after being involved in illegal activities. Her story makes us think about right and wrong and how people can change their identities.
Martin and Mary Petrolo's part of the story is about their relationship and how a surprising event during their vacation tests their love and trust for each other. Their experience makes us think about love, marriage, and excitement in life.
Ryan Hunter and Latrelle Tyler show the everyday struggles and efforts to make life better. Their story is more about friendship, working hard, and trying to fix past mistakes.
The story has rich and fancy places but also shows real-life problems. It talks about heavy topics like greed, relationships, and figuring out what is right or wrong. Some parts of the story might be too direct or mature for some readers.
In the end, the story is engaging because it shows different sides of life and makes you think about deep topics like love, trust, choices, and changing one's life. It's good for readers who like stories that make them think and feel different emotions.
Set in Boise, ID. 221 pp. Quick read to fulfill a reading challenge for Book Games. Meh. I had to laugh, though, when on page 1 the author writes that MC Carla had "her third orgasm since they began screwing ten minutes ago." I'll have what she's having?? 🤷🏻♀️
This was an easy and entertaining read. I enjoyed the characters and how the events of the story played out. The pacing was good and I was glad that the good guys prevailed. Even if the "good guys" may have been criminals. The story stays open ended so there could be sequels. Easy feel good entertainment.
