4.5🌟 A delightful short story which takes one simple act of kindness and transforms one person's life from despair to hope. The illustrations are beautiful and poignant. This tiny book is now one of the treasures of my Christmas book collection. My only complaint is that isn't more of the story to enjoy. I'm so glad that I found this book at a local thrift shop. I can never pass up a vintage book about Christmas!

Hopeful short story with themes of generosity and hope for a broken and lonely young man. Nostalgic. Secular.
