The moment he met her he knew she was different… He never expected her to become his obsession.
Gabriella Sanchez has lived her life in the shadows. Being born as a product of an affair, Gabby spent most of her life without her father. He provided everything for her…except his time.
Alessio Bianchi has always been seen as the youngest of the Bianchi’s. The screw up. The little kid.
On a job for his brother, Alessio finds himself in trouble. He never expected to have the beautiful brunette save him from near death.
Gabriella knew the moment she saw Alessio that he was trouble, she didn’t understand the true extent of it until it was too late. The moment she discovered that Alessio had left her with more than just a heartbreak, she ran.
Alessio became obsessed. He searched for his woman for four years. He wasn’t going to let her go.
When he finally gets her back in his life, he vows to keep her there.
However, their lives aren’t smooth sailing and when enemies start to crawl out of the woodwork, Alessio has to do everything he can in order to save the woman he loves and their son.
Can Alessio uncover who’s out to get them or will he lose everyone he loves to the hands of the unknown enemy?
Obsessive Union is the 9th and final installment of Brooke Summers Made Men series and boy did it go out with a bang! It had everything you expect from Brooke: dark and gritty, fast paced with tons of action, and smexy times that will light up your kindle. LURV me some secret baby stories and this one brought the perfect amount of angst with characters who truly deserve their happy endings. Obsessive Union can be read as a standalone, but best enjoyed when read in series order. It’s in the same world as her Fury Vipers MC and there is some crossover. Can’t wait for Pyro’s book ♥️. If you’re looking for a quicker read that doesn’t skimp, you won’t be disappointed!
This is the 9th and final book in Brooke Summers Made Series. First let me be clear, I liked this story, but I did have a few issues, particularly with the first part (more about that later). But ultimately those issues seemed to disappear and I ended up really enjoying this story. I did love both the Male and Female Main characters.
First, the blurb is a little misleading. It states: “…However, their lives aren’t smooth sailing and when enemies start to crawl out of the woodwork, Alessio has to do everything he can in order to save the woman he loves and their son...” This doesn’t actually happen until about 76% into this story so it’s NOT what the main gist of the story … more like a big bang ending.
This couple meets when Gabriella saves Alessio’s life after he’s attacked in an alley by Bratva. He stays hidden in her home while he heals and they have several sexual encounters. He’s smitten but he eventually has to leave to go back to N.Y. (where his family is) promising to be back in a week. But his return is delayed for two months due to attacks on the family night club. Before he can return, he sends someone to check on her only to discover she has disappeared. (She got tired of waiting and after she realized she was pregnant she decided she needed to relocate and start over moving to Indiana.) He searches for her for 4 years. During that time we get some of her resettling, her having the baby, her relationship with her father and Alessio dealing with famiglia issues(he’s the consiglieri) and his attempts to find her. They accidentally meet again 4 years later at family baby shower for a woman who happens to be Gabriella’s best friend. All this takes us to the 50-60% mark. The rest is them reconciling, his family accepting her and getting over the fact that she never told Alessio about his son. Then at about 76% this book really gets good with new attacks on Bianchi businesses and then Gabriella, ending with her beaten and their son kidnapped and Alessio trying to find out who’s behind it and dealing with them and getting his son back.
At about the 50% mark, I was all set to give this book only 3 stars. Why? For the following: Somethings just didn’t make sense. Example: Her saying if Dante Bianchi finds out her identify it will start a war. Why? She’s the illegitimate daughter of Joe Ranieri, head of a family in Denver who the Bianchi’s have been negotiating to do business with. Plus, she saved Alessio Bianchi’s life. It seems to me that would make them appreciative, not wanting to start a war. Then there’s the logistics of a sex scene that didn’t make sense. If she’s lying on top of him, her back to his front, there’s NO WAY she can “$uck” him, even if they’re head to foot. Not unless her neck is double jointed and she can bend it completely backwards to rest her head on her own back.
Additionally, some of the Mafia stuff, particularly in the beginning, seemed contrived and not realistic. Like them hitting the Bratva for kidnapping someone … only it turned out it wasn’t the Bratva. Wouldn’t the mafia be sure who did it before they retaliate? And wouldn’t they need to know for sure who has the kidnapped girl so they can get her back. This is something that’s happened in the past (likely an earlier book in the series), but is mentioned in this one to explain their problems and lack of trust with the Bratva. Either way, it was sloppy work in my opinion.
Then there’s the issue of every time a new person was introduced we got a couple of paragraphs about who they are and their history which really had no bearing on this story. I suspect people who have read the entire series would know who these people are and that the author included this information for those of us who haven’t read the previous books. But as these books are stand-alone and this information played no integral part of THIS story, it was totally unnecessary. In fact, it only confused…too many people in this extended family with the Irish and Italian’s inter-marriages, all the brothers, cousins, nephews, nieces, etc.; too many to keep track of.
As I said, I was set to give this book only 3 stars. I didn’t love it, but I didn’t hate it either so I kept reading. From the time Alessio spots Gabriella in the room at the baby shower and sees her with a little boy who looks just like him, this book gets much better. Their reconciliation, the strife caused with the famiglia, who are trying to protect their own while not knowing the entire story (that she was the one who saved him), and the additional attacks on the famiglia’s businesses and ultimately the attack on Gabriella and the kidnapping of their son, was all handled beautifully. This is where the mafia aspect of this story shines and becomes real.
Ultimately, while it was interesting to start (the attack on Alessio and Gabriella saving him) it got a little slow and had some issues as mentioned previously; but, a little more than mid-way, it got very interesting and realistic so in the end, I had to give it 4 stars.
3.5 Stars Wish I could say I enjoyed this book as much as the previous 8 in the series but alas I did not. On the surface the book has wonderful chemistry between the MCs, features a secret baby, and a mafia romance with an obsessed bad boy. There’s also a period of four years separation between them and by all appearances the hero remains faithful and is determined to find her. There’s some decent action scenes with intense shootouts and danger around every corner. With so many different organizations connected by family, the mafia is one convoluted mafia family drama laden with its own share of dramas. On the surface these are all plot lines that are interesting to me. But I struggled with giving up on my support for the heroine and her background. She knows of the mafia life and it’s the absolute last thing she wants after having been raised alongside that world and cast aside. Her feelings and apprehension become even more so when she becomes pregnant and honestly I can understand her fear of being in ‘the life’, so I don’t really blame her. When she and her kid are threatened and hurt it’s doubly hard to give up on my stubbornness because she was 100% right in wanting to separate herself. She’s also adamant to not want to come second place to the organization and that’s another thing I can understand but somehow the heroine has a lot easier time letting go than me because I still kinda wanted her to run. I also thought there were far too many sex scenes but mostly because each and every romantic encounter had me cringing when the hero would call her ‘Mama’, the same thing her son calls her. No no no, I’ve never been into the daddy kink and I’m just not on board for this either. It really took me away from the story and is ultimately what made me not enjoy this as much as is wanted. Aside from those two off putting things the book did carry on in the same all encompassing world as the previous books and was enjoyable. I am sometimes far too stubborn when it comes to my books and holding a grudge. Sadly this book is no different with me holding no punches, so while it didn’t completely work for me, it wasn’t bad and will most likely be another action packed romance for other readers. Also FYI this will be the last in this particular series, with an offshoot starting and I’m excited to see what’s up next in this crazy mafia world.
This whole freaking series is completely amazing! Alessio and Gabriella are fantastic together. The title is extremely fitting for the youngest Bianchi from the moment he meets Gabriella and these two have no idea just how much their worlds are weaved together! This was one of those stories that captivated you from beginning to end and I could not put it down. I love how strong and independent Gabriella is and how she goes toe to toe with Alessio’s family. She has not had an easy life to say the least but she still loves and fights hard for those she cares about. While this may not be the life that Gabriella had wanted she completely falls into place with everyone family is everything for these two and everyone else. This entire series is a must read!
I highly recommend this series for all Mafia Romance Readers. It is a combination of Irish Mob, Italian Mafia and Russian Bratva. This series is 9 books that are interconnected standalones all with different couples. There is mafia action including blood, betrayal, secrets and lies and all the family drama you could ever need.
This book features mafia Prince Alessio, younger brother to Dante and Gabriella who has no idea of her own connections to the mafia. A chance meeting leads to an obsession that lasts 4 years until their paths cross again. Once again this is well written and I love all the characters.
I really enjoyed reading this final book in the Made series. We see the return of many of our beloved characters from the series and things wrap up nicely for them, though it does open for future series as we see there will be some crossover with the Fury Vipers series and a new series, the Gallo Famiglia. Now onto our main couple.
We met Gabriella in Hateful Union as Raylee Silver’s best friend who helped Raylee through her and Malcom’s tumultuous relationship and finding out the truth about Raylee’s family. Gabby then was a strong and supportive character with a personality of her own. We saw her appear again Cherished Union, as a responsible young mother and business owner who befriends Adelina (the FMC in that book and wife of Hayden Gallagher) and she continues to be so in this book. Gabby has had to deal with a distant father in her childhood who prioritized his work over anything else, though we learn that he has tried and is trying to make up for that. Gabby has a kind heart and while she was hurt, wants to move forward and forge good relationships with her dad and others in her life. She is a fierce mama bear when it comes to her son Anthony and proves to be a strong woman who, wants nothing to do with the mafia life, will stand by those she truly cares for, like Raylee, her father, and Adelina who have ties to the mafia, and will speak her mind and defend herself when necessary.
Alessio has had a traumatic childhood, being beaten by his father and not protected by his mother. He has kept secrets from his brothers having to do his father’s bidding, which caused him to become distant but since then he has shown how loyal he is to the Famiglia and will go to lengths for them. He is also as ruthless as he is dedicated and proves to be beyond obsessed after meeting Gabby, the first woman to truly look after him. He is also very understanding even when he gets angry and knows when to admit things. He also shows just how fierce of a protector he is of Gabby and his son, even against his own family, calling them out.
I really liked this pair. Even though it may have begun with some instalust, they certainly forge an unbreakable connection that remained even after time and distance kept them apart. We see just how deeply they feel for each other, and they would move mountains for the other. I loved how we could feel this roller coaster of emotion from them, but never doubting their feelings for their other even when they hurt unintentionally each other. They prove to be a steadfast couple, wanting to make sure the other is okay.
Along with this great romance, we get our mafia action and crossover characters as usual in Brooke Summer’s work. For example, characters from Taken by Nikolai appear and storylines from the other books in the Made series is mentioned, so it might be worthwhile to read those as well for full enjoyment of these characters. There is a lot of action and suspense that keep the pacing moving forward, and this balances well with the romance.
Overall, I would without a doubt recommend this series! I can’t wait for what’s next.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "OBSESSIVE UNION I was totally hooked on this final book in "Made Series" it was a page turner with so much action, angst, abuse, betrayal, secrets, steamy scenes, kidnapping, danger, rivals, murder, violence, twists & surprise you can't put down so addicting to the end. Alessio part of Bianchi Famiglua his brother Dante head of Bianchi Famiglia along with brother Romero, family is everything to him, Gabriella Sanchez a gallery owner, daughter of Joe Ranieri he's kept her hidden from his life as she's a product of him cheating on his wife Christina who hates her. Alessio's family thinks he's the screw up younger brother, but they don't know what he suffered at the hands of his father Matteo the previous Mafia Don, now Dante new Don & wife Makenna head of Irish Mafia send him to Denver to look into business merger but something bad happens to him. Gabriella is the last person Alessio thought would save his life in Denver not knowing she's Joe Ranieri's daughter he's kept hidden from their world this is the beginning for them. Gabriella & Alessio take you on quite the journey someone is out to get Alessio & his family wanting to take over she gets pulled into the works she never wanted to be a part of. I definitely recommend to get this phenominally well written story I loved Alessio & Gabriella chemistry they were so meant for each other the surprises they get along the way will blow you away you so won't be disappointed a must read for sure. I'm so looking forward to the next book "Chloe's story in Made Series Crossover/Fury Vipers Pyro. Then the New Series called" Gallo Famiglia" Elio's story in "Ruthless Arrangement can't come soon enough.
Obsessive Union is the ninth and final book in Brooke Summers’ Made series. This book is told in dual POV and is Gabriella and Alessio’s story. I highly recommend reading this series in order since there is a continued plot point throughout the whole series. This is a mafia romance - there are descriptive violent scenes so keep that in mind. I can’t believe the series is over! The Made series is hands down one of my favorite series ever. There are so many wonderful characters. Brooke has kept us on our toes. If you would have told me way back during Bloody Union that Alessio would become one of my favorite male leads in the series - I would have never believed you. His character growth and story arc are fantastic. I definitely underestimated him and was quick to judge. He is the possessive alpha hole of my dreams. Gabby is such a great female main character. I love that Brooke doesn’t write weak females. Gabby is not your typical Mafia daughter but she doesn’t hesitate to step up and I love her strong will and tenacity. The chemistry is off the charts with these two and there smexy scenes are so freaking hot. I love the emotional connection and the fact that Alessio falls so hard and so quick and that time doesn’t lessen his feelings. Watching him stand up to his family and back up Gabby just makes me swoon. All the loose ends are tied up and we realize just how connected everyone truly is. It wouldn’t be a Brook Summers book without some crazy plot twists and suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Even though I’m sad that this series is ending, it makes my heart happy that we won’t have to leave this Bookverse completely. If you love dark and dirty mafia romance, emotional gut punches and phenomenal characters, I cannot recommend this book and this series enough. Fan - Freaking - Tastic.. you need to read this series!
Alessio knows his family thinks he is the screw-up little brother. They never realized the hell he lived through with his father, the previous mafia Don, and how much he has silently supported them from beginning. When his brother, the new Don and his sister-in-law, who’s the head of the Irish mafia send him to Denver to look into a business merger, little did they realize the new course they’d send him on. After a near death experience he meets Gabriella. Even though her dad is part of the “business” Gabby wants nothing to do with that part of her life, so how is it that she finds herself falling for Alessio. Soon the obsession begins. Fast forward a few years and the two find out how interwoven their lives really are when they meet up at a baby shower of all places, and the heat boils over quick into a crazed new relationship for them. This is the final installment in the series, with lots of familiar characters, but you can still enjoy this book even if you haven’t read the others, although I highly recommend that you do. The author has a way of blending high-octane action with steamy heat that will have you grabbing a fan and wanting more. Her characters, even the females are strong and capable but still have a soft and tender side that make you want to know more. Be forewarned there is some darkness in this relationship (Italian mob, meets Iris mob, meats Russian mob, meets local MC) but the heat eclipses it all. Also I can’t tell you how excited I am about the ending and hope for a continuation of sorts that will come out soon. I voluntarily read and reviewed an arc copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. 5 stars must read
The Made series goes out on a high note with Obsessive Union, a gritty mafia, romantic suspense story. If I’m being honest it was a bit of a slow starter for roughly the first half of the book setting up the background of the story as Alessio and Gabby meet under dubious circumstances that probably would’ve had any other girl running for the nearest cop or considering Gabby’s family connection at least turning round and going the other way but she takes Alessio home like he’s some stray puppy she’s found – just saying if he’s a puppy he’s definitely of the Pitbull variety. When the inevitable happens and Gabby finds herself pregnant with no sign of Alessio she decides on a new start with her baby where no one knows who she is. Fast forward three years and, at a family gathering, Alessio is shocked when the woman he has been obsessed with finding turns up complete with a son who is the image of him and this is the point at which Obsessive Union goes into overdrive. With betrayal and secrets, kidnapping and murders involving brutal torture galore as the Clann and Mafia join forces and go to war against a Bratva wannabe this book was intent What I have loved most about this series is all the interlinked characters and family connections even though I wanted to slap some of them here on Gabby’s behalf but at the end of it family rules and, whether they are Irish or Italian they will do whatever it takes to protect the ones they love.
Obsessive Union is the ninth and final book in Brooke Summers Made Series. While these books can be read as stand-alones, told in dual pov, with the interwoven main characters and family dynamics I highly recommended starting from book one.
Obsessive Union is the story of Alessio Bianchi and Gabriella Sanchez. Alessio is the youngest, the screw up, but why is he that way. Gabriella is the hidden daughter, a child from an affair, a life she wouldn’t wish on anyone. Obsessive Union begins with flashbacks that overlap book eight, but from Alessio and Gabriella’s POVs. We find Alessio obsessing over Gabriella and searching the world for her for four years until a chance meeting present day reveals Gabriella has been hiding Alessio’s son from him. Can they work through their baggage and form a life together? Will their families allow it?
I highly recommend Brooke Summers Made series to Mafia Romance readers. You will not be disappointed. And while this series has now ended, it is not the end. There is overlap with Brooke’s Fury Vipers MC series and an all new Gallo Famiglia series coming out next year. Enjoy!
Obsessive Union is the final book in the Made Series and Alessio and Gabriella's story. I felt that it was pivotal for Alessio be the last of the Bianchi's to have his turn and we realise from the first chapter why he's shaped himself into the man he is and the danger he thrives and that's how he meets Gabriella.
Gabrielle is a beautiful soul who goes with her heart rather than her head but I loved the turmoil inside of her especially when it came to Alessio but she knows she has to pull away from him to protect herself no matter how much it hurts them both.
Dark, captivating and devastatingly beautiful! I've loved every book Brooke Summers delivered they are some of my favourite mafia books.
This is the final book in the series and the author does not disappoint! She once again brings strong characters and an interesting storyline. She does a great job building the story with all the suspense, intrigue and secrets. Add in the surprises, twists and murder along with the sizzling hot romance and she delivers a story that kept me glued to the pages right to the end. It's well written with descriptive scenes, moves fluidly and is a fantastic conclusion to the series. Loved and recommend this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Just wow!!! I was hooked to this book from page one! I couldn't put it down! Alessio grabbed my heart from the first chapter his love, obsession and devotion to Gabby just made me love him more. And their chemistry just wow! The storyline had so much action, mystery and drama it kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat at times. I cheered and sometimes wanted to smacksome characters lol This book was engaging and real and well written. I so highly recommend it. But clear off your schedule cause you won't want to put it down.

Heat: 7/10 Emotion 8/10 Story: 8/10 Characters: 8/10 Interest: 8/10 POV: Dual No Cheating No Cliffhanger
"Obsessive Union" was a very interesting story. A fling resulting in a "surprise" child with a mafia story around it. I loved the way all characters were portrayed (both main and secondary characters). I haven't read the previos books in the series but i definitely will. It was steamy, had action, suspense, violence and strong emotions. The plot was good and there was no unnecessary angst, or drama. I really enjoyed the writing style and i will read more books from the author.

I like the mafia stories and so does the story of Gabby and Alessio. When they meet and Gabby rescues him, Alesio realizes that he wants her. So much happens in this story, from secrets, danger, violence, kidnappings and fate and of course the steamy and hot moments cannot be missed. If you love mafia stories then this book by Brooke Summers is highly recommended, she will certainly be on my list of favorite authors for mafia stories.
I received an Advance Reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I knew it! I knew Gabbie was going to get her own book! And what an incredible way to end this absolutely beautiful series. Ales and Gabbie are hands down my favorite couple. And the fact that he calls her mama? Ughhh, my heart can’t handle it. Gabbie is such an amazing person, and finally... finally, someone else put McKenna in her place! When Ales called her a bitch, I was just like, “About time someone said it!” Of course, Ales is super overprotective and an amazing dad, which just made me love him even more. This was a solid 10/10!
Started off a little boring and there was a lot of history rehashing but underneath it all was a powerful love and a willing to sacrifice.. even though I am prolife… it was still sweet to see Alessio’s reaction to Gabby being pregnant… as for Christina… that was horrifying and genius.

I enjoyed the story here and the plot thickens once the enemies strike. It has got so many flavours that it’s hard to love the characters. The men in the dark world love hard and can do anything for their families. I adore how obsessed Alessio became and gave all the positive vibes about it. Sometimes it’s amazing to be this obsessive and Gabriella is all worth it. She’s strong-willed and takes no nonsense, can stand on her own, and falls hard in love. I loved how the story took place and hope everything is dealt with in the process, truly entertaining. The writing is just as beautiful as the story.
Can’t believe it’s the end of this superb Mafia series.
Obsessive Union was the perfect ending. I adored Alessio and Gabrielle’s story. Like all previous books, their story held me captivated till the very last page. I loved every minute!
This series is definitely going on my re-read pile. Don’t think I can ever say goodbye to these characters. If you enjoy Mafia romance, I highly recommend.
I have been waiting so impatiently for this. I’ve wanted Alessio’s book since I binged read all the books in August. He’s an alpha, mafia and family man. He chases Gabby fiercely and loves with all his heart. Gabby is fiesta, smart and determined. When they clash together it’s 🌶. This also features favourite characters with a catch up on their lives - I would recommend reading the other books. Congratulations on the book release ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely love Alessio and Gabby's story. Gabby saves Alessio and the obsession begins. Life takes so many turns for this couple that it's four years before fate steps back in. Secrets are revealed, a family is almost divided, steamy between the sheets or island happens, kidnapping, and violence. What more could anyone want. I'm sad to see this series end. I have fallen in love with all these characters.
The series has been one of my favorite Mafia series. Alessio unlike his siblings has been sort of the black sheep. In this story we see his determination with Gabriella. He wants her and when he finds himself in an unexpected battle, she is the one to help him. She has managed to keep herself from the Mafia life and now she is drawn into it with Alessio. Let's not forget there is a threat looming. However, these two have a connection.
I loved Gabriella and Alessio’s story! Gabriella was an incredibly strong young woman and helped Alessio when no one else could. The two connected but the ties were not all that they seemed since Alessio didn’t really know Gabriella’s family ties and he wasn’t forthcoming with his. There was quite a bit of controversial and emotional events that transpired between the two but their chemistry and genuine care for each other shone through. Great addition to this series!
We finally have Alessio’s story, and it was everything I wanted. Second chance, secret baby, lots of secrets in this story. Alessio plays his cards close to his chest, so the rest of the Clann & Famiglia have no idea about Gabriella. It’s a fabulous ending to the series, with lots of betrayal, action & revenge to be had. I loved it & am looking forward to the crossover with the Fury Vipers MC.
This is the last book in the made series and I can say that loved Alessio. I honestly struggled to like Gabby though after what she did with hiding the baby. I guess the secret baby trope is not for me as I feel that she should have told Alessio. In not doing so, he missed out on so many firsts that he will never get. First steps, first words etc. It takes two to make a baby and I felt her actions to me were unforgivable. It wasn’t like she couldn’t figure out a way to see him and talk before the baby was born. Even as the book progressed, there was no coming back from that for me. Maybe she should go four years without seeing her son to see what she thinks then. Shame on any parent to do that! I received an advanced copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.
After 9 books, the Made series has finally come to an end. It’s sad saying goodbye to these characters. I’ve come to love them like a part of the family. The Gallagher’s and Bianchi’s come from a long line of mafia men and they continue to run their family business fiercely. Obsessive Union is Alessio’s and Gabby’s story and it’s a joy to read about their love and all the dramas that come along with it. This is a terrific read and incredibly well Written . Highly recommended
I love these books / series. Mafia reads are one of my favourites and this didn’t disappoint, what a great read. Alessio and Gabriella were lost to each other until they found each other years later with a surprise ! Great read highly recommend
The best thing about this book is that it is the PERFECT BLEND of mafia action and a secret romance. Alessio is a mafia prince. Third son and consigliere to his eldest brother and don Dante. He crosses paths with Gabriella under deadly circumstances. Gabby is a secret mafia princess. Her father has her living in incognito to protect her life. Gabby is a wonderful character. She is loving, caring, responsible, moral and a pleasure to know. The attraction between her and Alessio is not one way. They both feel it. When Alessio left town to go back to work he promised to return. She waited and waited. Finally, due to extenuating circumstances she ran. With her father's help she started a new life.
Four years later Alessio and Gabby see each other again. Little did Gabby know Alessio has been looking for her these past four years. Their reunion is better than what Gabby expected. Alessio now understands why she ran. But BIG trouble follows and the person at the heart of it is not someone one would expect. It was quite a surprise. A must read. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend it.

Reasons I enjoyed this book: Action-packed Page-turner Romantic Realistic Scary Steamy Tragic Twisted Unpredictable Wonderful characters
