4.5 ⭐️

This is book number 3, which I've been super excited for...and it did not disappoint!

Isolde has finally came into all of her powers and it's time for her to help end the vampire war once and for all. All whilst trying to decide which twin brother she should be with after all - strong, dependable Liam? or sarcastic, thought he was evil but actually isn't Connor?

These books are so hard to review without spoilers! But I loved this book...I can't remember the last time I read a book so quickly.

I loved all the big reveals and they were not what I was expecting at all! I loved Connor and his whole storyline. I gasped many times while reading it, I noticed my husband glancing over at me several times wondering what was going on 🤣 I love how the relationships with certain characters were left - very realistic, particularly Isolde and Aurora.

The humour in it was fantastic, especially Connor. I really loved the stressful sweary scenes... I could picture them perfectly.

I took half a star off just because at a couple points it felt a little confusing/convoluted. Also, without giving too much away, I feel like some of the things we learned almost merges the characters of Liam and Connor. Although the more I think on it I can not only see why but I don't suppose there would have been another way to do it.

If you like fantasy, vampires, magic, secret orders, steamy scenes and fantastic characters....why haven't you read this series yet??

OH.MY.GOD.

This book was intense from the beginning, it was very fast paced and you never felt like you were hanging for the next part of plot cause this one was dragging on.

I really loved seeing this different side of Connor. It made him feel more like a 3 dimensional character. I loved seeing both him and Liam work together in this book for the greater good. His sarcasm provided a much needed comedic relief.

Liam wasn’t as much involved in this book as others, and sometimes I did want to punch him in the throat, but I can understand where his big feelings were coming from.

Aurora was in this book so much more, and I still stand by the fact she should be ctrl alt deleted. She is a annoying person and I’m sick of her being all boo hoo me. You’re not a good person and you need to get over yourself. Go to therapy. ( my strong feelings about her are a credit to Allison’s writing)

When bad things happen people don’t always get to crawl up and be emotional and babied, in the story Isolde didn’t really, so Aurora needs to get some lady bits and go on with life. Because that’s the only choice.

Honestly if I was Isolde and told it’s on me to save the word I’d yeet myself and let the world end. But she is so much braver and got 👏🏻 it 👏🏻 done 👏🏻

There are so many levels of deception, and I was never really sure who to trust! I was shocked at every new thing being unravelled, there was so many Mic drop moments.

I read through almost 80% of this while at work and got so lost into the book I did not hear my co workers talking to me. Allison Andrews just pulled me in again, trapped me in her web of stories and I am okay If I never get out.

I am a passionate fan of this series and I’m so glad that I got a early copy. What also makes me cry is the fact that I am officially named Allison’s superfan in her acknowledgements.

If you've been eagerly awaiting the epic conclusion to Illusions and Blood Memories, then hold onto your hats because Phoenix Rising by Allison A. Andrews is here to deliver the grand finale you've been craving!

First off, let me just say, if you're looking for a book that's predictable, then keep on scrolling. This book is anything but predictable. Just when you think you've got it all figured out, suddenly, BAM, a plot twist hits you like a ton of enchanted bricks.

Andrews wastes no time dragging you into the fray. From the get-go, Phoenix Rising is a whirlwind of action, suspense, and character development that left me gasping for breath. And speaking of characters, oh boy, do they get a chance to shine! Forget what you thought you knew about Isolde, Liam, Connor, and Aurora because Andrews pulls back the curtain to reveal depths you never even knew existed. These characters have more layers than an onion, and just when I thought I had peeled them all away, Andrews throws another curveball my way.

Now, let's talk about the spice. You know, that oh-so-important ingredient that can make or break a story faster than you can say "bland." Well, fear not, my friends, because Andrews has once again delivered the goods. The romance is steamy enough to fog up your reading glasses, but it never overshadows the heart of the story. It's like the perfect amount of hot sauce —not too much to overpower the flavor, but enough to leave you reaching for a glass of milk. (Or something else if your next to your bedside table.......Wink Wink)

But perhaps the real star of the show here is Isolde. Finally, we have a female protagonist who's as flawed and relatable as the rest of us mere mortals. She makes mistakes, she hurts people, and she struggles with her relationships. In other words, she's a real person, not some cardboard cutout of a "perfect little FMC princess." I mean, come on, who hasn't wanted to shake some sense into her at least once? And yet, despite her flaws, you can't help but root for her every step of the way. It's like watching your best friend stumble through a particularly messy breakup—you just can't look away.

In conclusion, if you've been following the Order of the Dragon Trilogy (and let's be honest, why wouldn't you?), then Phoenix Rising is the grand finale you've been waiting for. Andrews has crafted a masterpiece that's equal parts heart-pounding action, sizzling romance, and jaw-dropping plot twists.

I loved how Andrews has ended the current story ark and it seems like maybe we'll even get some spin-off series featuring our favorite side characters in the future. Fingers crossed!

(Note: I received an advance reader copy of this book in exchange for my honest review, but let's be real, I'd gladly pay full price for the sheer joy of reading it again.)

I. Fucking. LOVED this book -and I loved this trilogy! Most of the beginning of this book was what I expected and I thought it was going to a go a certain way.... and it did.... and then there was so much more book left and it was much more complex, suddenly. I tore through this in a couple of days and I'm REALLY pleased I got the physical copies signed because I'll re-read these for sure.... or maybe I'll loan them out to friends, knowing I probably won't get them back, and I'll buy again for the re-read? A.A.A deserves the sales for sure.

Not happy.

I hate romance series when they suddenly choose somebody different, oh we have a bond, we love each other.

Oh no now I love somebody else. Isolde goes from a Liam to Connor and it destroys the story. The sudden appearance of Phoenixes and Dragon shifters when it’s been a vampire series was kind of ridiculous too.

Wow what a way to end.

Allison has done it again with this book and end of the trilogy. Which twin will choose which twin. Lots of twists that will keep you wondering about what is going to happen.

Isolde and Liam are joined by unlikely allies, to end a war fought in the shadows for 3000 years and prevent the end of the world. have two weeks to end the war. But tensions rise when Liam finds Isolde getting too close for comfort with his evil twin. Shocking twists and revelations come to light, making Isolde question who she can trust. Who will survive the final showdown?
